- It's pretty safe to assume that Jill Roberts' killing spree would have had a huge impact on Woodsboro. As the Scream timeline goes, it turns out that Sam Carpenter actually discovered that Billy Loomis was her Father during the events of Scream 4. In this video, we take a look at how Jill's actions could have played a huge part in Sam's eventual downfall.

Of course Samantha Carpenter is Billy Loomis's daughter and Jill Roberts was the cousin of Sidney Prescott who is The only daughter of Neil Prescott and Maureen Prescott/Maureen Roberts.

@Scott Aznavourian Yeah because Maureen Prescott is a slut and Kate Roberts is a selfish narcissist that wanted to be like Maureen and get all the attention so instead she fueled all that energy into raising Jill and telling her stories of Sidney because Jill said Sidney this and Sidney that which I'm aware is her mother's fault. She handled the situation in an immature and messed up psycho murderspree with Charlie Walker who wanted to do it for the girl and for fun in resemblance to Stu Macher.

I didn't even consider her age or to think about where she fitted in timeline wise. But I agree with you, the resurfacing of the Woodsboro Murder talk would have been a huge set back for Sam. Great video as always.
@@brandongoodwin2054 that doesn’t make sense. Sam was 25 when we first meet her in Scream. So she would’ve been 14 when Scream 4 happened. Kirby & Jill & Co were very much 17/18 during Scream 4. Wes Craven even mentioned it as a couple of the different drafts saw Kirby &/or Jill in College the next year.

@@ayascamdzic3827, my comment from 7 months ago probably doesn’t make sense because the guy I responded to who was saying Sam should’ve been the same age as Kirby & Jill & Co (which is shorthand for Company which can be used to refer to a friend group) had deleted his comment when I made my reply & therefore you aren’t seeing what I am responding to.
Again, this is something that would have been great to have in Scream 5 to explain Sam's character more and even bring up to Sydney. For me one of the biggest misses with Scream 5 is that Sydney and Sam don't have much interaction or connection even though there is so much they could have talked about. She could have talked to Sydney about her fear of becoming just like Billy or Jill and it would have been a great moment for Sydney's character to help Sam.

That would have been so interesting. I loved the latest movie so much, it was an incredibly fun ride and I think it lived up to the rest of the franchise and was a beautiful tribute to Wes Craven, but I wish they could have explored the psychology of some characters a bit more. Just one scene like the one you imagined could have done the job.
Agreed. I personally needed these two to interact more especially because Sidney did kill Billy and at the end of the day he was Sam’s father . I actually thought they were gonna make Sam the killer because she found out who her father was and due to her mental illness was seeking revenge for her fathers death. Guess it could still happen😉
To be fair, Samantha didn't want to talk about it and I'm sure Sidney didn't either. Besides, I can't see a reason Samantha would care that Sidney killed her father. He was evil and that's all there is to it.
I have a fanfic where Sam is the secondary antagonist, specifically hating Sidney for so called making her losing both of her fathers due to dating her biological father and driving the man whom she knew as her father to abandon her and her sister. I hope it's a good way to solve this problem

They should let Beyond The Mask have input into the next Scream movie. His knowledge and way of expanding and connecting stories together is seriously talented.

Wow I never thought of it this way. It makes sense when Sam found that journal and she found out Billy Loomis is her father im sure she was thinking she was going to turn out just like him and she was trying to cope with that. The events of 2011 just made it worse. I hope it is touched up on more in Scream 6
Billy cheated on Sidney in either 1995 or 1996 so Sam should be 25 turning 26 or 26 turning 27 and the events of Scream 4 was said to taken place a decade ago in 2011 which adds up the timeline Scream 4 story took place on the 15th Anniversary of the original Woodsboro murders.

According the fandomwiki Sam is born August 1997 making her 24 years old at the time of Scream 2022.
The only way to explain her's and Tara's age gap is that they are 5 and a half years apart,maybe amber just said 5 years because they are,but like 5 years and 6 months.I and my friend are 4 years apart,he being born in 01 and me in 05,and it looks like 4 years,right?it's actually 3 years and 6 months,but since I am born on 15 th may and he on 18 th November,it's 6 months apart and makes it look like it's exactly 4 years,but it's actually 3 and a half.

Jill is dead the way they wrote it now. But the way Wes intended, Jill was going to survived her injuries in Scream 4 and got away with framing Trevor and Charlie without the original trio knowing not was her.

I left a comment on a different youtube channels Scream 5 video not long ago about this because I thought the timing was significant too. We went into the movie knowing the year Sam was born, so as soon as she was like "I found out when I was 13" my brain was like "Well, that's roughly when Scream 4 happened". And much like you, I don't believe Jill and Sam met but I do think that massacre was important in what happened to Sam's life 👍🔪🖤

How? Scream 4 came out in 2010 not 2011. Sam is 22 in the new Scream 2022 which means in Scream 4 she'd be 10 years old not 13.

@@theshape3988 Scream 4 is set in 2011 and Sam Carpenter is "around 24/25/26" according to Matt & Tyler who wrote Scream (2022). The events of Scream 4 would have still resurfaced the discussion about Billy Loomis and Stu, making all of this highly likely. But it's just his theory, which he says in the video.

In Scream (I will always call the 1996/ og “scream”) Billy’s motive for killing Maureen was that his mother left and abandon him; after she found out about his father and Maureen’s affair. It was very obvious in Scream 2 that she was devastated by Billy’s death (she went full blown Pamela Vorhees) but why would she abandon Billy just for the affair and since Billy seemed to have a closer relationship with his mother; why not take her with him? Unless…. there was something she didn’t want Billy or her husband to find out and had another motive to leave (at least for a while). What if after finding out about her husband’s infidelity she went and had a one night stand out of spite but then got pregnant. In scream 2 Gale couldn’t recognize Mrs.Loomis and Sidney basically implied she used to be fat. What if that “fat” was actually pregnancy and before it became too obvious Mrs. Loomis decides to go out of town and get rid of the baby (either to try give it up for adoption or to the birth father) but tells her husband she’s leaving because of his affair…. Then she has the baby (Sam) leaves it at the birth fathers.
Then Sam growing up discovering that she is both daughter and sibling of two famous killers (and her/Sams birth or how she came into this world; inadvertently being one of the things that caused the start of the infamous Woodsboro murders) takes a huge toll on her psychologically; hence leading to her acting out, drugs, and leaving her sister (repeating Mrs.Loomis actions)……. I think it would have been better this way but it’s just my opinion and It’s obviously not cannon 🤣🤣🤣

I'm literally reading things that would have been MUCH BETTER, than what it turned out to be, and I understand the love for the original, but come on, they could relate to the other sequels in a lot of ways, but let's face it, the directors gave shit to all of them sequels, that is why the references to these were scarce, and that was bad, because scream 5 was not that great either, it was good but until then, if they changed to other directors who really love scream, it could be something better

Actually, no. Sam is 23yo and Tara 18yo. Sam find out about being Billy's son when she was 13 yo and Tara was 8. If this happen at the same year or the year after Jill's killing spree, 2011/2012, we would have a 10 years gap between Scream 4 and Scream 2022, placing it around 2021/2022

Sam is 23 in the new Scream. In Scream 4 2010 she would've been 11 not 13 when Jill was killed in the movie. Which even younger considering Jilll had to met her even before that. Your theory is way off

SCREAM LEGACY - Has anyone seen this never fan film Scream Legacy? Fantastic! For me it's the new Scream 4... Scream 4 should be just put on the scrap pile.. it didn't do anything in terms of plot.. it wasn't very fresh.. and it was poorly filmed.. almost looked like something was on the lens the whole movie.
