    Thx that's helpful
    1) Make any buildings that require tier 4 or 5
    in your provincial capital
    2) Focus on getting your capital to tier 5
    as fast as possible
    3) Produce growth, income and a defensive building
    in your minor settlements

    Its probably not obvious but when it comes to corruption provided by demonic capital types, it is slightly different between the gods (excluding Nurgle, because thats all different). In the video (@44:33) Khorne's corruption is produced on the Bastion line for the capital building, but Tzneech and Slaanesh have their corruption produced on the Portal line in game. All other bonuses remain the same as far as I know.
    Totally makes sense for lore but I didn't notice it was different until I started my Khorne playthrough. I thought it was best to mention it somewhere in the hopes of it not catching other people out like it did me!

    Question by the way. Are you planning on doing any videos on missing units for the game 3 factions or speculation on potential lord packs that will be upcoming in the game? I know the game just released, but I am already curious and interested to speculate what could be coming in the future. Hard to even pin down in ny mind who I most want to see DLC for first (other than I suppose Nurgle. I feel his roster is missing something to draw me to play him right now). Would love to hear your thoughts.

    My biggest complaint about this game is there is too much going on. Missing an opportunity to pick up a soul can be a major misplay, and every time I go to collect a soul my lands get invaded hard. When the first rifts open up I never have a large enough empire to field a secondary army capable of repelling the advance and I have to rush my soul run just to get back and save my realm from being overrun. All I want is the new Mortal Empires so I don't have to deal with this shit because I really love the new mechanics of the game and Cathay is crazy fun to play. Plus after playing Cathay I'm excited to see how they're going to change the Empire and Elven gates.

    Where/when should I focus on military buildings? First and main province, or should I focus on growth, control and income for 1st province? Should I have a province dedicated to military buildings? I know this is all variable, but I ask these questions as a total beginner so I can understand the general concepts and strategies.

    Question about Kislev defensive buildings.
    On their one region settlements, do the defensive buildings that aren’t extra garrison also upgrade walls/towers? It doesn’t say they do on the tooltip, but they seem kinda useless if not.

    Oh also, that might be a big ask. But since i am fairly new to the total war warhammer series and wanna get a little bit better at it, would you consider making a guide on how to approach early / mid / endgame?
    I often find myself overwhelmed with all the approaches i could take.
    Or i am often to cautious take certain risk.
    Most of the time i feel like that comes form not correctly interpreting signs of danger or how the ai behaves.
    The overwhelmed feeling i suppose comes mostly from not having clear goals in mind.
    Aka, if i play Civ, i have certain build orders i go through. There are important steps before i can start focusing on other stuff.
    In Total war i have no idea how to even judge how many armies i need to properly defende x amount of provinces.
    Or what the important things are i should focus in early game.
    How do i transition properly into midgame and all these things o.o
    Thanks for the great guide!

    I heard that for the Daemons of Chaos, Daemon Prince, resources (marble, wood, food, etc) give different buffs to different gods. Is this true? If it is, which ones support which gods?

  • @Turnil321
    @Turnil321 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    A few things I like to point out you might have forgotten.
    1. All chaos factions get control from their corruption (max 20) but will lose control from other gods' corruption (also max 20). The corruption from chaos undivided will have no effect on control. Deamon factions also do not have any ways to remove corruption besides destroying the source of corruption and by having more than 50 corruption from their version. this will remove -5 corruption from all other forms of corruption and add 5 more for their version.
    2. pop growth gets slower the more you have. for example, to get 1 pop you need 100 growth and for 2 pops you need 150.
    So it might be better to upgrade the smaller settlements and get some extra pop growth.

    • @italianspartacus
      @italianspartacus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great point on the first one! :) I illustrated the second point when talking about how growth increases per growth point. Thanks for keeping me honest brother

    • @Turnil321
      @Turnil321 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@italianspartacus Also 2 other smaller things I like to point out.
      1. some factions have better defense buildings than others. for example, Khorn gets them at 800/1600 rather than 2000/4000 and Nurgle has no defense building but gets defenders from other buildings.
      2. Nurgle is the only faction in total war that does not get pop growth from its capital buildings (and harbors).

    as a vet I have one question, what happens in the very rare situation where only one province in a region is undesirable, does it negatively effect the other regions? its not something that comes up often and not sure if it comes up at all in 3, but I remember it being an issue at the start of Malekith campaign so I have always wondered

    Any advice on how to expand when your one full province maxed out only can support 1-2 armies that has to contend with Cathay's 4-5 armies running around which instantly pops back when defeated? In addition to that you must defend against chaos rifts. In all provinces. How are you supposed to expand when winning battles isn't the problem - but the fact that your 1 army can not - be 5 places at once?

    Here's my biggest issue/question about corruption. I've had settlements that list 2 kinds of chaos god corruption at 100 percent. If both are present that means my units and buildings that provide Slaaneshi corruption for instance aren't removing nurgle corruption. How am I supposed to "purify" my settlements to avoid getting some of those corrupted traits on my generals and heroes. The nurgle one reduces replenishment on armies and is particularly crippling in my eyes.
    Or am I misreading this whole system? Cause right now it seems broken/nonsensical to me D:

    • @davidmurray3542
      @davidmurray3542 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      High corruption of one god adds a penalty to the three other gods; if you're at 100% for both then something is causing enough Nurgle corruption to overcome the penalty. Hover over the nurgle number and it should tell you where that's coming from (whether it be a rift, characters, or buildings in neighbouring provinces)

  • @maddic08

    question that i have if i have 2 growths and major needs 3 but i could update minor settlement, what should i do? wait and save for major or always upgrade?

    • @chrismitchell7494
      @chrismitchell7494 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      IMO always upgrade the minors, because each pop surplus requires more growth than the last. So if you upgrade minors in order to upgrade the growth, it'll take less time overall than if you had waited to upgrade your major first.

  • @fluffybunnyofdespair1145
    @fluffybunnyofdespair1145 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What if you have a corruption of lets say 4 Khorne and 8 Nurgle. Would they coexists or would the dominant one "outweight" the other one?

    • @davidmurray3542
      @davidmurray3542 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They coexist until one corruption is above 50, at which point it starts to apply an increasing penalty to other forms of corruption.

    Control is the most annoying part of this game for me. I always feel like I'm out of it, no pun intended. The whole idea is expand, gain new provinces, sometimes you have to rush. But you also need to spend like 10 turns in a province before moving on otherwise you just get rebellions everywhere which causes frustration. I kind of wish it just...wasn't in the game. Some factions are so hard to maintain their provinces.

  • @JeremyRichard82
    @JeremyRichard82 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I need a "when to build walls and garrisons" guide, since those are now two separate building chains, and also a general "Expansion" guide. One thing I constantly do in these games is overexpand and then I get shanked up the rear in what I once thought was "Hinterlands" areas. This is why I Suck At Total War. ;)
