  • Restoration Crazy 3-PHASE ac Water Pump With Large Capacity | Restore Old Electric Water Pump Capacity MAX Japan
we received a help request from a friend to repair a large-capacity 3-phase water pump. The electric pump had burnt the motorbike and could no longer function. The pump is too old. It has been seriously destroyed by time. It took us a lot of time to restore it. We have repaired the electric motor. I asked a friend to do the job. It's difficult to restore a large-capacity electric pump. It is quite heavy, its weight up to 100kg. After several days of restoration, we have completed restoring the 3-phase large capacity electric pump. Thank you everyone for watching my video. Subscribe to follow the latest videos.

I worked and lived there from 1993 to 1995 ...Before going there I was quite apprehensive and rather prejudiced, due to Vietnam War. Within a month I changed my prejudices to admiration. These people are clean, well organized, thoughtful and very hardworking. They achieve wonders with so few tools. I have great admiration for them. .

for submersible pump, any hole in the impeller is not so serious because the head of this pump is not high, maybe only its capacity slightly lower than before

Everyones commenting on the impeller. The guy is rebuilding it with hand tools only. He did what he needed to do to separate the impeller. No room for a puller in there and he tried heat. I doubt he has a welder available to repair the holes. You just have to make do to get the item working again with what you have available. It's an old cast iron pump, I doubt cavitation is a huge worry at the speed that thing will be running. I think he did a good job with the resources he had available to him.

There would be a posibility to drill and tap those holes, and subsequent grinding to close those holes.
Impeller blade would still need balancing after that though.

I’m mechanical technician and I watched this video until 10:31 i realized that this gay is still learning and new. A lot of mistakes are made such as drilled the impeller, pulled the mech seal by bearing puller even though he don’t see there is luck washer this method might be damage the stationary seal. But i love it and by the time I’m sure he will be good mechanic.

    You did a great job,
However I think you should close the 2 holes you drilled into the propeller, in order to pull it out using the puller.
These 2 holes will cause undesirable turbulence that will reduce the performance of the pump.
they could be very easily closed by epoxy.
Thanks again for you clean job.

That impeller with holes, I agree, she’ll vibrate to beat the band! Not to mention the debris that will hand up. It appeared to me it was a residential setting, where did he get 3 phase electric? I was taught to press bearings in and if you had to use a hammer use a plastic or leather dead blow hammer and never hit directly on the bearing but a wooden or rubber block. Never did see him do continuity check on the windings or armature. Poor kid needs a visit from the snap-on tool man.

And that crack or cut in it that was made to get it off the shaft easier it’s going to be a big problem I would’ve gotten a new impeller that pump will fail pretty quick because it’s gonna wear them bearings out in just a matter of a short time

Looks really nice :), I like your dedication and skillset :). A few tricks I learnt that I would like to share with you. 1. Buy some alumium stock. File/shape it in a wedge. You can hammer this gentle between gasket surfaces, because if you use a screwdriver and you are unlucky you make a scratch, which can be right pain to clean out. 2. Buy a recoil-free hammer (looks like rubber, but with lead balls inside) This will shock the stuck area and loosen it (hopefully) but removes the risk of shattering cast iron (Again a right pain to repair) . 3. Buy a breaker bar (or Bolt snapper how you want to call it) I have a few and they save you some blooded knuckles and curses so to speak. An impact wrench usually doesn't do the trick when the bastard is on there tight because of rust. So a good proper whack on top with the hammer first to shock it, then break it loose. I hope it's helpful to you
