🌱 Check out Joey Carbstrongs channel he does a lot of it & My Partner Brother Dad & Mate Loz eat a mixture of Vegan & Non Vegan in fact my Partner David he never has anything but Oat & Coconut Milks even out of the house 💚
I beg to differ. You slap the "vegan" label on something and people automatically assume it's going to be bland, gross, inedible, etc. You give them vegan food without telling them it's vegan, they will eat it in a second and not make negative assertions first.
+luxconcept loved ur comment! I once had a guy over doing some work for me. He found out I was a vegan and he put me down. It hurt my feelings but I offered him a deli sandwich and didn't tell him it was all vegan. I told him it was all meat. I gave him the sandwich, and he couldn't eat it fast enough. Said it was one of the best sandwiches he had ever had! Then I broke the news to him and he told me to F off and left my house really angry. It just proves your point. And it sad bc so many animals' lives could be spared but some people just think it's not "cool" to be a vegan and to be "manly" you have got to eat meat....but that couldn't be further from the truth!, But things are changing for the better and for that, I am truly grateful
Just came across this and really inspired I like how you see it as a choice and not something that can be forced upon some one and that you respect that, you have defo surprised me your examples of alternatives :) x
love this video Lucy! So happy you have a TH-cam channel, loved you on MIC but it's so nice to watch your videos, especially as they are vegan related :)
I absolutely love that you're open and proud about being vegan!! People look up to you so it's awesome having more famous vegans! I'd love to see more of these videos :) or what I eat in a day videos!
I was vegetarian for 6 years before going vegan. In almost 8 years I've only just tried some mock meats and mock cheeses this year. I made vegan croissants and filled them with vegan cheese, my family didn't know the difference. Winning!
Interesting vid. Not prepared to being a vegan just yet, but it's definitely good to know what food alternatives are available. I'll try give them a try.
This video was so good! Could you do a video about what you eat on a daily basis? Maybe include the meal alternatives you use now since changing? It would be really interesting and helpful!
well its different for everyone but i know lots of meat eaters who are put off by the words 'vegan food'. Why would some peoples attitudes put you off eating certain foods? i don't think vegans have bad attitudes, i think they are just passionate about being vegan and a lot of the time are actually judged and misunderstood by meat eaters
AFKnoob yeah I know, I mean things like vegan brownies or cakes or something, people I know would rather not try it and stick to normal brownies etc, I agree with you that some vegans can be rude, but so can anyone :)
It's not that vegans are rude, smug or "annoying preachers", it's that sometimes feeling like nobody else cares about the injustice, can become pretty draining and defeating. Imagine for one second if every single day, you saw some injustice being done but the majority of people around you. Imagine it was the norm and you and a select few others, knew it was an injustice and tried to stop it from occurring. Not by violent means or anything unnecessary, just by speaking out about it. Imagine that every time you tried to explain your position, you were met with a barrage of oppositions, from ridiculous immature comments to ones that just refuse to use any logic or worse - compassion and empathy. THIS is what vegans face every single day. It's exhausting sometimes to feel like you're the only one who is trying to make a difference and having to walk on eggshells (pardon the phrase) around meat eaters because they don't like your delivery is something we just don't have time or energy for every second of the day. Sorry if you're offended by vegans who are speaking the truth - yes it can sound harsh at times - but the fact is, meat and dairy are incredibly harsh industries. If you have a problem with vegans than you have a problem with veganism. Veganism is a passive stance - it's literally just not supporting those industries. Eating meat and dairy is an active stance - it's supporting those industries.
"I'm annoyed because I want to eat it but I'm happy because you like it" I completely know how that feels so well 😂 also, need to find that soy whip cream!! Loved this video x
This was amazing thanks so much for sticking up for the animals. Any other veganism video you do will be awesome, particularly a 'what i eat in a day'.

🌱 I think I remember following you a long time back but haven't seen anything for a while from you. Tarion Partridge & Joey Carbstrong are both great activists . I won't shop at Asda as my Mate worked with them & they had Rat infestations in their warehouses & shops but stock next them were still sold. My Partner David loves trying different Vegan products too 💚 You both sound very Public school especially James who sounds like Boris J which had me laughing as does the Head of the practice at my G.P's in Harborne Doctor Patel🤣😂😂🤣
sainsburys are really good with stating what products are vegan and not just vegetarian. I love their sweet tangy fangs and their ready made curry sauces!
interesting all the vegan options, would be cool to learn what options to pick from a fast food restaurant ... and damn James is dreamy (sorry i had to say it! lol ) cool video!
Bless him...he likes everything:)hope he will go vegan one day!!!my boyfriend was a meat eater when we moved in together and now he is 90%vegan 10%vegetarian :):)which is awesome:)
I love this video. I don't eat many meat substitutes as I am vegetarian and eat free range dairy. I have never heard of Soy Whip and I am interested in the chorizo. Like you I have been vegetarian from the age of 8 and have had salami but never had chorizo.
My 1year old son has allergies to dairy, wheat, oats, nuts and soya. As I'm breastfeeding him it means I have to eliminate them from my diet too. Iv recently discovered hemp milk which I looove! I get so territorial over my 'free from' food 😆
Great idea for a video! Made me soooo hungry - had to hit pause & get some granola halfway through #yum I'll try the pretend mozzarella as been vegetarian for decades but dairy is terrible for my asthma. More vegan info please 💖👌
Hey Lucy. I just found you on TH-cam today. Are there a lot of vegans in the UK? How about places to shop? You and your boyfriend are adorable. I am planning on getting to the UK soon. I would love to live there. Can you do a video on places to go there if you are vegan.vegetarian please? Continued success!
hehe james really likes that chorizo. he seems to really like these. I wonder would he incorporate a little bit of these into his diet like choosing vegan salad fillers or vegan protein bars instead of the real thing. baby steps, rather then going all in. eating meat once or twice a week is definitely tons better than eating it everyday or multiple times a day.
I can't believe you've been a vegetarian since you were 5! That's so inspiration. I've been vego for about 7 years and I'm trying to go vegan but I eat a LOT of chocolate...

+Lucy Watson Yesterday I wanted to watch some Made In Chelsea but there wasn't another Ibiza to watch because it was on the night before. And the one I watched was your two's first date which was a double date with Binky and JP. I was like awwwwww! Little do they know the AMAZING relationship to come! ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know too much as I'm not a vegan - but I do remember in an episode of MiC she mentions something along the lines of they use different pans to cook. Maybe try creating some ground rules and boundaries, it might help acceptance from both sides if you're free to do your own thing with no cross-contamination. It's also important to remember that people's food choices are a choice. Just as people should respect your choice to be vegan, you should also respect the dietary choices of others. As with any relationship, there's give and take in every aspect. If you feel it is important that others adopt the same dietary habits, offer to cook an extra plate of food and ask them to join you for dinner every so often, see if they enjoy it and just have fun with it. A vegan diet excludes a lot of foods, however many other diets allow the inclusion of vegan foods - so technically they're not actually changing their diet at all, if they were to join you for the occasional meal. But again, remember to respect their decisions and tastes, as you would expect people to do with you. You should always treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. :)
I'm vegetarian and my boyfriend enjoys eating meat. We allow each other to do our own, but every evening, I make dinner for both of us. He gets a hearty, healthy vegetarian meal, and we get the pleasure of sharing food. Of course, this is possible mostly due to the fact that I enjoy cooking. The rest of the time we eat separately
Lucy, can you do a video on how your relationship is affected by you being vegan and your partner eating meat and dairy? I'm a vegan and my boyfriend isn't and I know it affects our relationship. e.g. Do you argue about it? Do you get upset he continues to eat meat? Would love to hear it from your point of view!
