I'm 53, and I just went vegan about a week ago. I've always loved animals, and while I never was an asshole to them, I used to think vegans were a bit "out there." I don't know why. But I'm proof people can change. Again, age 53, and just now opening my eyes to finally understand and do what's right. Anyone can change. I'm so grateful for people who work so hard to keep this message going on and expanding-I think in the not-so-distant future, people will look at slaughtering animals as it is: barbaric and horrible, and I think veganism will be the norm. I also wish more people would actually *watch* the films and videos of how even "humane" farms treat animals. It's horrible to see, but along with the people I've heard, seeing the actual murders combined with talks is what convinced me. I didn't want to watch them before-didn't want to face reality, I guess-but I'm so glad I did. Keep the message going, guys!
Good for you mria21. Hope you're managing to stay with it. It get's much easier as time goes by. Been vegan for about 2 years now. Someone asked me this summer what it was that I replaced meat with at meal times. I actually had to think about it because now, my meals aren't ordered like "this is the protein, this is the veg, this is the carb". They're just balanced plates of vegetable dishes!Top tips: put seeds into everything you can (chia and flax are my favourites. Lots of goodness but pretty discrete). Use the fortified milks and cereals (fortified with B-vits). Use nutritional flakes (again the ones with all the B's like B-12) wherever you can (anything with a sauce or baked is good). Get to know your spices ;)Good luck. It's a good thing you're doing for yourself, the animals and the environment.
StewFairweather Still going pretty well! Interesting you mention people asking "what do you do for meat?" I just say, "Oh, protein? I get plenty of protein-" the few I've had ask me about meat say something more in meaning with "Don't you crave a burger?!" I told one woman at work she'd be surprised how good some of the vegan burgers are-she just rolled her eyes at me, but whatever! Next time we have a work function, I'll bring a dish, and only after people comment on it's tastiness (I hope!) will I tell them it's vegan. Good tip-seeds and B12! Thanks!
Thank you for finally taking the time to open your mind and watch the truth on video. I know most ppl in my life don't want to watch the videos but maybe someday they will.
Great video. My usual answer is "because I care". I care about my health. I care about the environment. I care for my fellow sentient beings, humans included. I care about the future. I care about more than just myself.
+chapachuu I care about my health, I care about the environment, if i see someone abusing animals I'd be more than willing to kick their arse, I care about humans, I care about the future, i care about more than just myself. I also like the taste of meat, the texture, eating the fat, bacon, pork, chicken, lamb. I care. Never EVER tell someone that likes meat that they don't care. You're oversensitive. It's not the other way around. You want to tell people you're a vegan without pissing them off? Don't be arrogant.
+30secondstomarsMBH No, if you cared about those things, you would NOT eat meat. Period. That's like saying you hate lung cancer but won't quit smoking. But, with eating meat it's worse, because you're not just hurting yourself. Talk about arrogance, and selfishness. You profess to care so much about yourself, animals, the environment, etc. yet, you'd throw it all away over something as trivial and petty as, "but it tastes good tho"? Do you even listen to yourself? Do you think before you speak? You're weak, and quite stupid.
A couple of years ago I discussed veganism with a vegan. I told them I would never go vegan, how it was weird and stupid. I didn't understand how it would be bad drinking milk and eating cheese. I could drink one litre of milk in just a couple of hours.. I was always interested in becoming a vegetarian actually, but I never really did. However, I knew nothing about anything important. I could actually not imagine how bad cows were treated. I thought the milk came out of nowhere, not because it was meant for a calf. Today I'm vegan. I will never go back. I'm so sad this is happening to our animals.
Good for you! I'm 13 and I've been mostly vegan for about a month. I say mostly because I'm still working on finding a good vegan and gluten free substitute for bread. Hoping to find one soon!
But a lot of gluten free bread has egg or milk in unfortunately. I'm gluten intolerant and vegan but I managed to fin a brand that I can actually have aha. Lauren, do u live in the UK?
I genuinely bawled, it was so afraid and people only wanted it dead for taste. I really wonder how much guilt the people operating the slaughterhouses are carrying on their shoulders. It's so inhumane because we all claim we love animals but murder isn't love, fear isn't love.
i was the person who would say "i don't eat meat but i could never be vegan" prior to watching this i really wanted to go vegan but was always putting it off and making excuses. i randomly watched this video one morning because it came up in my suggested videos and I've never gone back, been vegan for 3 months and it was the best thing i ever did, thank u so much for making this

I mark my third week as a vegan! It was because of the voice of The Vegan Activist that I then stood up from my chair with my eyes full of tears and decided to become vegan. I refused to go another day in ignorance. Thank you for this channel.
I began the year eating meet, dairy and eggs also mocked vegans but its now been 3 months on a vegan lifestyle and I feel amazing and wish I was raised this way.
Spent a good week putting this one together. Hope it inspires you! We all have slightly different reasons for choosing to avoid animal products, but the most universal one is because it's the right thing to do. It's good for the animals, good for the planet and good for our health. When talking to open minded people, don't be afraid to give them the shocking facts. But with others, leading by example can be more effective. Regardless of this, be confident and speak on behalf of the voiceless animals.
+The Vegan Activist Great video, very moving. That footage of the last cow trying to escape in that narrow space is heart breaking. You can clearly see the terror in his or her eyes :'(
+The Vegan Activist I was right - the really was something to look forward to. This was incredibly moving. I didn't just hear it - I felt it! Brilliant . I will be sharing.
This video helped and calmed me so much. I just recently went vegan and it has been the best choice I've ever made in my entire life. My family however, are all very big meat/dairy eaters and it has been incredibly hard to organize my thoughts in order to explain to them why. I have gotten so angry with them already on multiple occasions because of their ignorance and judgement towards veganism. It got to the point where I didn't even want to talk about it anymore to anyone. It may sound cheesy but this video reminded me why we must talk about it and explain it to those who may not realize or understand, yet to keep in mind that not all people are open-minded and not everyone cares enough to change, and that I mustn't let that stop me. So I wanted to thank you posting this, because it is exactly what I needed and I am sure it has helped so many other vegans :)
oh sister I hear ya 100% it's only me & my 13 Yr old daughter who are vegan in my family myself, today is 17 month's & my daughter 7 months.... in the beginning they all poked fun at me but as time has gone on they have gotten more curious & some even inspired enough to cut out certain things here & there ... It's extremely difficult to deal though knowing all the info I do trying & trying to get them to see what I see but it still has yet to fully affect them enough to realize the severity of what these poor animals go through to get to their plates I just want a clean world where we all love a lil longer free from illness & cruelty it's possible there's a ton of alternatives!!!! Stay strong keep pushing through keep fighting one step at a time one person at a time we all make a difference ;)
i know the feeling... I went vegatarian when i was six years. when someone first told me meat came from animals. i pictured slaughter houses in my mind when eating meat, it was if I could feel the pain in my arms and legs. if have been vegatarian for 9 years. at the age of 15 i thought that it was time to stop being a pussy. I ate meat and said that i didnt taste anyting(humans can't taste protein because we are herbivores), my parents took that as an insult, and thought i was never going to get strong or healty. now I have been vegan for 12 days. finally realising that i wasnt wrong. and im glad a 6 six year old kid can see that eating meat is wrong. only i have just recently realised that eggs and dairy are even worse.
I hate how non-vegans ask questions about Veganism then, even when answered in the kindest most simple way, accuse us of "shoving our lifestyle down their throats". I never say I am vegan at work because my coworkers make fun of me and ask stupid questions like "is (insert irrelevant thing here) vegan?!" Or mock me when I am eating my vegan food quietly alone like "yeah yeah we know you're vegan!!" Like I think I'm better than them for eating like everyone does? I don't judge them or mock them, only try to kindly educate when asked. It's so frustrating.
I have the same issue. I can't talk about anything that's related to veganism without non vegans immediately going on defense mode about why they can't stop eating meat or sea food. When all I'm doing is sharing my passion for veganism.
You just need to turn it around on them. Being invited to a BBQ or seeing a sausage sizzle outside a store or at an event IMO is "shoving one's meat-eating beliefs down my throat". We have to simply recognise that non-vegans are incredibly hypocritical and simply needed to be called out on that, in a respectful and calm way. You might not win the argument there and then, but planting some seeds will undoubtably get them thinking!
i ate meat for 24 years, mocked vegetarians and didn't believe someone could be healthy without animal products.. i literally ate meat at every meal and drank two dairy protein shakes a day. my mind was shut and i was diluted by years of indoctrination.. Finally i opened my eyes. i'm vegan now, and if i can do it anyone can. Always remember that even the people that mock you can become vegan the very next day. They can't help their ignorance, so don't blame them. Set an example, educate and inspire them instead. After that, it's up to them to open their eyes
I'm 15, and I've been vegan for 15 months now. This video touched me and made me cry, feeling guilty for the 13 years that I DID participate in this atrocity. But I'm glad to say I stopped it early, I'm so glad I was brave in only year 7 to watch slaughterhouse footage and make the decision right then and there. and to be able to say over a year later, my mom has ngone vegan and my dad has gone vegetarian. I changed my life for the better and started caring for things other than myself for once, and in turn changed people around me by leading by example at such a young age. So now I can answer why I'm vegan, without being shy and feel no one will take me serious because of my young age. I am vegan because I care about something other than myself. Beings who cannot simply care for themselves. For those who dont care... yet. Until they see what goes on, it is my duty to educate them. That is my life goal. And I hope to change the minds of people who never gave it a thought. To change and the reverse the terrible things happening to our planet and the beings on it. I am vegan because I care for something other than myself for once, and my goal is to help others in the process.
+Lauren Jewel You go girl! I think you are already very wise for your age and I hope you get to inspire many more people to act as selfless and wonderful as you do
I've been vegan for about 10 days now and its great. The other day my mom made spaghetti with beef and I was so hungry that I decided to have some, after all I was just starting my journey into veganism. I took a bite and nearly vomited. Its crazy how much your taste pallet can change after only 10 days of no meat, dairy, or eggs. It's hard to explain but I could taste the death. It did not taste like beef anymore, it tasted like a dead cow. I cried, and my family called me over dramatic but I honestly felt so guilty. I am absolutely positively NEVER going back to the SAD ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever again. I refuse to support the torture and slaughter of innocent animals (who contrary to popular (stupid) belief WANT TO LIVE) I do not have the right to take away a life.
+sarvineh chiniforoushan This is sad. but it's also awesome. I was vegetarian for years before I decided to become vegan just over a month ago. It really is odd how much your views on food change. I didn't want to eat dead animals back then. But it runs so much deeper now. I used to love cheese LOVE it. But the idea of it makes me feel sick now. I was watching something and someone was eating ice-cream and it made me wince and look away. Once you step away from it completely you really do see it for what it is. Before I was vegan I used to wonder how I would deal with cravings. Now I wonder what the hell was wrong with me. It's all so disgusting.
sarvineh chiniforoushan my uncle brought home my favorite chicken sandwich and I took a bite and nearly puked. I brushed my teeth 4 times and the taste won't get out my mouth.
I cried .. That moment with cow refusing to go to slaughter.. I saw it 40 times in different videos and it always makes me cry :( im vegan for few months now and i also helped my sister, my boyfriend and his boss go vegan and im proud of them. It just makes me so helpless.. Even being vegan i still feel guilty for every animal going to slaughter.. Like i have an anxiety constantly.. What should i do?
u r amazing... first 4 being vegan + if u have influenced all those people u have made an enormous difference! there r bad things that happen in the world - u cannot stop them all... be careful not to burn urself out (don't keep watching videos that upset u, u know the truth). Just keep being vegan, take care of urself + set a good example. Things r changing, u do not have to do it all alone... all is well, all will be well, xxx
Marissa G me to I clamp up and go all quiet and feel sad.. It's because we know all the hurtful facts.the last thing we need is an ignorant person attacking us after all the suffering we've witnessed I mean we do carry those pictures in our thoughts none stop, and it makes us very protective Of these animals even more. A meat eater hasn't a clue about what we really feel, so it's a up hill battle but in the nicest way of course. But meat eaters are usually the attackers in my experience. Yes it's hard painful thing to explain.. I just wish I had Earthing ED or Joey Carbstrong by my side to explain why I'm a vegan.. Sometimes a stranger gets more respect and less insults .. That's why I secretly want them to look at Earthlings Or knife over fork... Even though I'm going to get don't be sending me all that stuff I don't want to know, my mums the classic she keeps saying Paula don't put others off their meat dish let them enjoy it, keep your thoughts to yourself it's not fair on others your being inconsiderate.🙈😤😤 by the way I'd never sit at a dinner table and pick on meat eaters, as much as I'd like to their is a time and place as we all know 😜👍
I've had a 300 pound woman tell me she was going to call CPS on her daughter in law because she's raised her child as a vegan. I told her I was vegan and she looked me up and down in disbelief (I'm not skinny because I love my oreos). And she talked down to me saying I must be malnourished and unhealthy as she ate chicken fried steak...because I'm the unhealthy one
I have been vegan for a week now. These videos are so inspiring and really help to get the message across. I will never go back to consuming or using animal products.. Two days ago, my youngest son told me he is becoming vegan as a result of the information I gave him about the dairy industry. He went away and watched videos for himself and then was ready to make the change. My husband is eating vegan meals. He hated vegetables and said he couldn't eat them, but vegan meals are so tasty, he is eating them. He has watched the videos and that is helping him to stick with it. These type of videos really can help people to change and do the right thing. Thank you.
I recently did a huge college project on Veganism in front of my class... I was so nervous because I didn’t want to be judged... than I realized who cares about being judged? As I gave this presentation hundreds & thousands of animals are being slaughtered... I bet if those animals could speak they would beg for us to spread the word of Veganism regardless of judgement. After my presentation was done my entire class clapped & gave me a A+ as a grade. My professor told me it was the best presentation she had seen in a long time. Many told me I had inspired them & challenged their thought process. This brought tears to my eyes because I had been so nervous to speak up & once doing so I was praised for it. I will NEVER keep my mouth closed when it comes to spreading the word of Veganism. We need to lend our voices to the animals.
It's like a switch for a light... when you switch it it is on and can't turn off... but remember it may be easy to see it yourself but others will not be near that switch and may never want to switch that switch and that is their choice.
Such an amazing video! I have eaten meat all my life (27 years old) and recently started to consider becoming vegan. Watching documentaries and videos and reading about the meat industry has really inspired me. This week i went grocery shopping to fill my pantry with non meat/non dairy foods. This video has been the final thing i needed to know i am doing the right thing not only for myself but for the world. So excited to continue upon this new chapter of my life! 💕💕
been vegan for almost 3 weeks, I convinced my dad to do it with me we've been eating very well and his hypertension went away and his blood pressure dropped. I'm so proud of him. ♡
I had been a vegetarian since 1983, however, going vegan took me a lot longer. Viewing videos on your channel forced me over the line, and I became a vegan two months ago. Morally, emotionally and physically, I feel SOOO much better! Thank you for the information contained herein, and for your support! I am a subscriber to your channel, and I just love it! I will NEVER EAT AN ANIMAL OR IT'S BY-PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN! 🐵🐯🐂🐴🐮🐗🐃🐩🐆🐷🐺🐈🐑🐼🐹🐫🐘🐻🐇🐣🐓🐔🐀🐐🐪🐨🐹🐁🐸🐟🐢🐙🐳🐌🐦🐬🐠🐍🐥🐋🐊🐞🐝🐜🐚🐡🐄🐅
I'm pretty much sitting with tears in my eyes because I've decided to be vegetarian/vegan and I wish everyone else would its so wrong to punish animals for 10 seconds of some worthless human pleasure
I keep getting bullied at college for being vegan bc they dont understand and also i always try and change the subject 😥thanks for this video i feel i not alone and for all those reasons wish everyone knew this 🌍
Do the right thing even when it's the hardest thing to do, especially when another being is at stake. Your reasons for being a compassionate caring human are far stronger that anyone's excuses. Try to find a veg community in your college and if there is none then heck you could even start a veg club, that's what I plan to do do next semester at my college! And remember you're not alone😌
This video brought me to tears. I went pescetarian in November, vegetarian in March, and vegan in April. I thought about being vegetarian since I was 19. I'm 24. I waited 5 years because I was afraid of what other people would think. That cow and his/her fear and ultimate death got to me just now. I realized all the lives I wasted in my hesitation and I feel shame. I am ashamed that I didn't want to see the reality of the industry for so long. I am ashamed that I haven't always handled questions well or have been a good advocate for veganism. I feel like my whole life has had blood on it's hands and that I could have stopped it but I liked pepperoni pizza too much to do anything. Anyone else feel this way? Please no hateful comments, I just want to know that I'm not alone in this.
Wow that was deep, I can definitely relate. The important thing though is that we're no longer contributing to animal abuse and I personally feel like I can try to make up for the years of damage I've caused by helping others see the truth.
The only thing that matters is that you are vegan now, that you did connect the dots. Look at it the other way round. What if you did not connect the dots and kept eating animal products? You'd be wasting many other years to come harming animals, the planet and all the people dying of hunger (because we feed all the crops to animals). But instead, here you are, A BAD-ASS VEGAN :-).... who's no longer part of the problem, but part of the solution. Kudos!
Why am I vegan? I am Vegan for the Animals. And I question those who call themselves vegan who are not. You can reach some people initially with health and planetary concerns, but there is no turning back once you understand it's all about the animals. Thanks for showing the clips of Gary Yourofsky. He's the one most demonized by those who wish to squash the encroaching threat of ethical veganism deemed "too radical." P.S. I'm not crying... my eyes just suddenly sprung a leak.
Glad to find you here!!! I'm with you guys, the ethical veganism approach is the one that will make people really understand and stick in veganism for the long term. And this should not be considered radical at all; just basic compassion, basic empathy and basic respect. PS. I get emotional too, good inspiring video.
This is so powerful and beautiful and important. I have found myself unable to express why I'm vegan. I do get scared of being ridiculed, mocked, or ignored. I will use what you've said in this video, though, to try to face those fears and stand up against the inconceivable atrocities taking place right here in front of us. Thank you.
I'm vegan because 3 and a half years ago I watched the documentary Earthlings and Gary Yourofsky best speech ever... I quit eating all animal products that exact same day. I'm so glad I did, its the best thing I have ever done in my life next to getting married and having two children.
I love this video so much! Thank you for synthesizing all of this into one short video, as I often find myself not knowing where to start when explaining veganism! There is so much information out there!
Thanks for this video. I like the gentle way it was presented. Nothing like the mean, judgmental vegans that are full of drama here on TH-cam. I became vegan this Feb 2016. Took a trip to Maui in Sep for 2 weeks. Had the hardest time with food. Food was extremely expensive and vegan restaurants far from me. Ate limited vegan options from menus but felt hungry most of my trip. I am back home now. I went to my local grocery store and loaded up on all my favorite vegetables and fruits. I am very thankful that here on the mainland I can afford healthy foods and not give in. Being vegan can be tricky and difficult at times especially if loved ones are not vegan. But everyday I make a choice that is good for the animals, the planet and myself. I am an example to the people around me. Therefore I cannot give up. Thank you
I often receive very ignorant comments from friends and family when I let them know I'm vegan. Even strangers have looked at me weird if I mention I'm vegan. Usually I tell them, " At least I'm not contributing to any pain and suffering," and it almost always shuts them up. I've recently convinced my mother to try being vegan because she's worried about her health as she become older. I'm 13 and I'm proud to say I'm vegan for the animals, the environment, and myself ! 🐮🐷🐔🐥🐝🐶🐰🐠
This is absolutley inspiring. I am now vegan because I understand what's the real point, thank you for making me vegan. Thank you. Thank you very much.
This was amazing Michael, really choked me up. Every second you spent on this was well worth it, you've created a great resource and it is truly inspiring too. Well done mate :)
I've been vegan for about four months, and my anxiety about discussing this can make it seem like it's not worth it. Thank you for reminding me that it is.
I absolutely love this video. I am currently a vegetarian and have been debating going vegan for the past couple of weeks. This video really put it all into perspective, and I know for sure now that this is a lifestyle change I want to pursue. Thank you so much.
i needed this. I can't stay calm sometimes when answering the question because people asking it are so antagonistic or patronizing. But I've realized calm delivery is key....and clear concise facts are also essential. Thank you!!
Such a good video, I've been vegan for about a week, and I think it's one of the best choices I've ever made. I always thought it would be too hard, but it really isn't. Even if it was hard, it would still be worth it.
hi there,im a new vegan too, been 2 weeks and before that i was a vegetarian.being vegan makes way more sense tho dont you think? the best choice ever yeaah
carys tagg I was vegetarian before being vegan as well :-) and I definitely think it makes way more sense, especially if you're doing it for the animals!
Hi, girls. Fist of all, kudos to all of you for making the switch to veganism. What I would like to give you on the way is the fact that right now, it's extremely important to start exploring the vegan cuisine. It's difficult to be a vegan if you don't enjoy the food. Fortunately, there are literally tons of amazing vegan youtube channel offering mouth-watering vegan recipes. If you watch those regularly, you'll be able to create your own personal list of simple vegan recipes that you really enjoy (like vegan cup-cakes, muffins, pasta, vegan pizza, soups, smoothies, vegan ice-creams... there are so many). The vegan channels I personally find best are The Vegan Corner, CookingWithPlants, Hot for food, Ela Gale, Fablunch, The Vegan Zombie, The Brown Vegan etc. Also watch non-coulinary vegan channels. That way, you'll realize that you are indeed part of a huge community and you won't feel alone. I myself have subscribed to about 30 vegan channels (and I keep discovering new ones). The most popular ones are (depending on your age) NinaAndRanda (these twins have been vegan their whole life and they make tons of videos about veganism, vegan make-up, dating, sport, school...), Henya Mania, Happy Healthy Vegan, Bite Size Vegan, Freelee The Banana Girl, FullyRawKristina, Kalel, Vegan Gains, Jon Venus, Rawvana, Jason Pizzino, Nicokado Avocado and sooo many others. Just check out their videos and see which one you like... and then: Off to the kitchen! :-)))
Moravian Wallachia I've definitely been trying to subscribe and watch more vegan videos. Thank you for the tips, I'll be sure to explore my vegan options more widely! :-)
niskiornot Yep. Definitely do that. The vegan 'playground' is pretty large :-). When I turned vegan, I was pretty amazed by the number of already existing vegan youtubers. There are a lot of young vegans now creating vegan youtube channels. It's fun to watch, you'll learn a lot and you won't feel like a total outcast.
I'm a 16 year old small town Scottish girl, been began for over six months and it's the best decision in sure I will ever make. Your videos alone have given me so much insight but this one so emotional, as soon the lists started rolling over over I was in tears, this is art and I wish more people could see it and understand why this movement is so important for us all
Breath taking. Your videos are the most compassionate, the most eye opening, the most thought provoking. Thank you for speaking up for the animals. I shared this video to as many people I could
This video really is inspiring. Love how softly you speak. Its videos like these that make me happy that I don't contribute to that any longer and speak up for the voiceless. ♡♡♡
Oh my god I loved watching this, it's a reminder of why I'm doing what I'm doing and always being confident in who I am, please keep doing what you're doing we appreciate it.
This changed changed how I answer people. You helped me find the words to say what my heart is trying to cry out. No more mumble and change the subject 💕
I'm already Vegan and yet you're blowing my mind and inspiring me! Thank you so much for all your hard work on your videos. They're wonderful! I went Vegan 5 years ago and I'll never look back. This work is fortunate to have activists like you and Freelee & Harley and so on, you guys can change the world!
I became vegetarian when I was 12. And I would always say that it's as far as I'd go because I love dairy too much. I'm 17 now...I've been vegan for a little over three weeks and it is enlightening and beautiful.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 that was amazing! really really good!! I'm going to make flash cards with the best statements and carry them in my back pocket from now on! love this!! oh business idea! you should make flash cards and sell them! the vegan explainer flash cards! 😂😂😂
Incredible edit Michael, your work is vital to the movement, don't ever stop! Also, nice dates ;)
Earthling Ed OMG I LOVE YOU 🌱💚
✊😻
Ed! I love your channel. Your e-book is very helpful! Thank you for what you do!!!
A great resource for educating meat eaters
Ed, we all love you! Your work is wonderful! 💚💚🙌🏼🌱🌱

Thanks!
Old Ironballs 👏👏😜🙌👊🏼
Thank you for finally taking the time to open your mind and watch the truth on video. I know most ppl in my life don't want to watch the videos but maybe someday they will.
Btw it's often better to grind up your seeds in a blender so you can absorb them better. Otherwise they typically go right through you!
Your "I'm vegan for..." list made me very emotional. Beautifully narrated as always.
me too , it made me cry
I literally got into tears 😭💔
+The girl who wants to know We are the change we need in this world!
It says " how to explain why your vegan" thats the totale idiot
Dude your voice was made for vegan activism.
True
Absolutely ! His Voice is so warm and engaging.
His voice is sexy and soothing.
Sure it is
It was ! He sounds like a total wimp!
Great video. My usual answer is "because I care". I care about my health. I care about the environment. I care for my fellow sentient beings, humans included. I care about the future. I care about more than just myself.
Yes.
I hope you don't mind, I am going to use what you said :)
+chapachuu Beautiful answer!
+Sofie Karlsson Good for you, I'm happy to hear this. :)
Awesome!
I'm 12 and I went vegan last year I'm so happy with my decision!😊
Good for you! I'm 13 and I've been mostly vegan for about a month. I say mostly because I'm still working on finding a good vegan and gluten free substitute for bread. Hoping to find one soon!
bread is vegan. gluten free bread is easy to find at publix and target
But a lot of gluten free bread has egg or milk in unfortunately. I'm gluten intolerant and vegan but I managed to fin a brand that I can actually have aha. Lauren, do u live in the UK?
World Of Brad No, I live in the US
+Lauren Suty Oh. In the UK, there's a brand called BFree that make bread that's both vegan and gluten free but idk if you can get it in the US :/
Today's my first day being vegan!!!!!!!! Woot woot:)
+Brittlivesfashion
A single day of being Vegan is still one-whole-day more than *most* people.
Long may it continue.
Well done Britt.
+Brittlivesfashion Yayy!
+Brittlivesfashion Good for you!!!!!! Just made it to 32 days and never felt better!
+Brittlivesfashion still going?
YAAAASSSSS
Seeing the cow try to turn around in the tunnel made me cry. Everyone should see this video. Well done!
+Karin Ward Same!
I genuinely bawled, it was so afraid and people only wanted it dead for taste. I really wonder how much guilt the people operating the slaughterhouses are carrying on their shoulders. It's so inhumane because we all claim we love animals but murder isn't love, fear isn't love.
i was the person who would say "i don't eat meat but i could never be vegan" prior to watching this i really wanted to go vegan but was always putting it off and making excuses. i randomly watched this video one morning because it came up in my suggested videos and I've never gone back, been vegan for 3 months and it was the best thing i ever did, thank u so much for making this
So proud of you! You are loved and thanked for by the animals, this planet and me personally. Xx
Elaa Mauri this is so kind! thank you so much, u too ❤️
I started being vegan when I watched 'The hardest thing about being a vegan'!!!
yup the exact same vegan story as mine!
Best thing I've read today. Respect!
"Speak the truth as if you were the one queueing up to be slaughtered" - That really rung true with me. Thanks so much man, this is beyond helpful.
Ellie The Earthling I crying every time i see someone eating meat cause i know what they have had to be through
Animals eat other animals. Get over it. Death gives life.

First day being Vegan and I am so so happy I decided to.
Awesome!! :)
+MaddiAnn I'm vegan for a week already. I believe we can make it.
+Kyle Michaud of course :) Honestly, I no longer have a choice. If one wants to remain humane, should never harm living beings. Simple as that.
are you still going strong vegan friend?
Vegan for almost a year already, guys! :-)
I mark my third week as a vegan! It was because of the voice of The Vegan Activist that I then stood up from my chair with my eyes full of tears and decided to become vegan. I refused to go another day in ignorance. Thank you for this channel.
Good, you just became ignorant.
Hi I 3 months vegan yay
@@17MrLeon good, you just proved ur ignorance.
Regardless of this, be confident and speak on behalf of the voiceless animals.
i LOVE IT. great job !! definitely inspired me :D
+The Vegan Activist You are such a wonderful speaker! Thank you so much for this!
Thank you. This was a very helpful video! All the best
Aw thanks Kirsten! Glad to hear this was helpful ^__^
oh sister I hear ya 100% it's only me & my 13 Yr old daughter who are vegan in my family myself, today is 17 month's & my daughter 7 months.... in the beginning they all poked fun at me but as time has gone on they have gotten more curious & some even inspired enough to cut out certain things here & there ...
Kristen Hyde. You are a beacon of light. Your choice is the voice for the voiceless. They are greatful for you.
This is so true!
This is so true!
this happens to me so much
I have the same issue.
You have inspired with this video vegan activist. You just made a vegetarian go vegan. Thank you. ♡
I'm glad you've made the decision to change
fuck bro, this video is so inspiring..
+Joey Carbstrong I agree! Save the animals!!
+Joey Carbstrong I agree! Save the animals!!
Yea this video has really fired me up
i ate meat for 24 years, mocked vegetarians and didn't believe someone could be healthy without animal products.. i literally ate meat at every meal and drank two dairy protein shakes a day. my mind was shut and i was diluted by years of indoctrination..
I am vegan because I care for something other than myself for once, and my goal is to help others in the process.
this was beautiful❤️
Juman Orfali omg thank you so much, I was actually tearing up as I was writing it too
Beautiful and inspiring!
+Lauren Jewel i don't think you should feel guilty for something you didn't think was wrong, after all how could you
+Lauren Jewel You go girl! I think you are already very wise for your age and I hope you get to inspire many more people to act as selfless and wonderful as you do
i just tell people i treat others the way i want to be treated that includes animals.
I like that answer
same
Thank you ... I am still crying 💔 I am vegan, but sometimes stumble to find the right words to say ❤
This video brought me to tears. I am proud to be Vegan
Me too, every time I watch this I cry. it's sickening how meat eaters say I love animals and then they eat a cheese burger
Stay
I like how peacefull your voice sounds. That helps a lot to open to the message.
Literally sobbing at 2:57... I dont usually cry but this just got me so emotional
+Alexandra Prokhorova mee too, I thought it was the wine... I think this guy might just be amazing...
+Sugar 'n spice thanks for Your positivity :) youre right, sometimes its just hard not to get depressed you know. Xxx
I know + ur welcome - stay strong :)
This isn't what you're looking for, but you are a modern day hero. Don't stop.
Great explanation-I feel so passionate about why I'm vegan yet when someone asks, I don't know what to say. This really helps.
Marissa G me to I clamp up and go all quiet and feel sad.. It's because we know all the hurtful facts.the last thing we need is an ignorant person attacking us after all the suffering we've witnessed I mean we do carry those pictures in our thoughts none stop, and it makes us very protective
Of these animals even more. That's why I secretly want them to look at Earthlings
Or knife over fork... Even though I'm going to get don't be sending me all that stuff I don't want to know, my mums the classic she keeps saying Paula don't put others off their meat dish let them enjoy it, keep your thoughts to yourself it's not fair on others your being inconsiderate.🙈😤😤 by the way I'd never sit at a dinner table and pick on meat eaters, as much as I'd like to their is a time and place as we all know 😜👍
There not their
I've had a 300 pound woman tell me she was going to call CPS on her daughter in law because she's raised her child as a vegan.
Awesome activism! 💚👊🌱
I am already vegan but your video is so inspirant. It makes me cry 💕
You are such a powerful & inspiring speaker Michael. Don't ever stop
+Holly Brown Fit Exactly! what she said :-D
+Poison Ivy Exactly what you said about what she said
exactly what you all said!!! 😊🐮🦁🦊🦆🐘🐧🐔🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
one day people will look back at this message and realize how important you were to this movement thanks for this video
2:14 I really felt the passion in your voice during this set, very powerful. Perfectly put together once again!
My go to answer is "because my convenience is not more important than another beings life". This video gave me chills!
And remember you're not alone😌
yeh true an dthanks for the support , Preachhhh!! :'))
Kudos!
Bacon tastes good though
Tide Bleach Soy bacon tastes good and harms no one. 🐷🐽💎💋
Alicia Wright I taste good too and harms no one.
This is honestly the best video on veganism I have ever seen. AMAZING job!
same here
I answer "because I care about animals , my health and the environment "
I always start crying when I watch these type of videos 😩 Been ethical vegan for three months now and going strong ✌🏻🙌🏻
Unreal, literally close to tears watching this. Thank you so much for putting the time in to make these videos :)
Such a great video! I've been binge watching your channel all day - amazing work, keep it up :-)
Aw thanks Jess! ^__^
you're only 13? how amazing is that!
Awww🤗❤can l be your mom?
This is absolutley inspiring. I am now vegan because I understand what's the real point, thank you for making me vegan. Thank you. Thank you very much.
Excellent video man. You do the community proud.
This is such a good video. I’ve been looking for one to share that’s easier to watch. Thanks so much. 😊
Great video, and well timed. Just today I was wondering about an answer to this question as it's always the first one I'm asked.
I was vegetarian for 10 years and now vegan for almost 3 years... this video made me cry so much. Beautiful job.
This gave me chills!
So inspiring! I'm glad I found your channel
I am 60 and been vegan for 17 years. Never felt this good.
Amazing video! Very inspiring. You can tell you put a huge amount into this. Keep up the great work.
I really love how it touches the heart and turns my guts around without having graphic images of it. The power of words right here. 🐾
This was amazing Michael, really choked me up. Every second you spent on this was well worth it, you've created a great resource and it is truly inspiring too. Well done mate :)
Grateful Grateful 2 be Vegan.. Still cry at these videos...
I've been vegan for about four months, and my anxiety about discussing this can make it seem like it's not worth it. Thank you for reminding me that it is.
My 2nd day being Vegan!!! Have watched your videos and many others! You have inspired me so much!
This is pure gold! Well done.
I absolutely love this video. I am currently a vegetarian and have been debating going vegan for the past couple of weeks. This video really put it all into perspective, and I know for sure now that this is a lifestyle change I want to pursue. Thank you so much.
incredible video! going to share this with my friends! :)
i needed this.

Yep.
Your videos alone have given me so much insight but this one so emotional, as soon the lists started rolling over over I was in tears, this is art and I wish more people could see it and understand why this movement is so important for us all
congrats on 30K!

Breath taking. Your videos are the most compassionate, the most eye opening, the most thought provoking. Thank you for speaking up for the animals. I shared this video to as many people I could
so much respect for you for making this, very very well spoken.
This video really is inspiring. Love how softly you speak. Its videos like these that make me happy that I don't contribute to that any longer and speak up for the voiceless. ♡♡♡

This is one of the greatest videos on this platform, it's so important for Vegans to not be passive bystanders but stand up for what they believe in.

I became vegetarian when I was 12. And I would always say that it's as far as I'd go because I love dairy too much. I'm 17 now...I've been vegan for a little over three weeks and it is enlightening and beautiful.
