I love mine! Funny I’ve had my 2024 for almost a year! I ordered it last April and it came in about 4 weeks later! I’m really enjoying it. The new interior is really nice and it rides so smoothly. Just a great spacious powerful suv…plus it looks great and stylish too! I’m glad I got the 22 inch black wheels with the m sport package. Definitely worth it. Your videos are always so informative!
I think I took your advice and got the 22-inch wheels, in black. Got tanzanite blue x drive 40i with the M Sport pro package, so there is no chrome on the car except the badges, which you know. It arrived in about 5 weeks in early December. Great car, and I don’t find the ride harsh.
Thanks for your detailed info on BMW. I'm looking to purchase one 2023 X5 xDrive45e with low mileages (under 30K) on it. The only downside is that it used to be a rental car. It still comes with manufacturer's warranty but I'm unsure of purchasing it or not. Should I look for personal or CPO instead?
I own a 22 xdrive45e, if I did it again, I'd buy the xdrive40i. I won't be owning my vehicle past the warranty period because of the cost of replacing the hybrid battery. In my opinion, I would look for a straight gas version, you'll be able to keep it longer.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I did thanks. I'm currently looking for an X5 and am doing research on which latest year was the 3.0i used.. if it's the 2006 then I'll look up to there, but if it's up to 2007 then I'll stop there. Any further information would be appreciated...
Yeap, i would not own any bmw pre B58 motor. I had a 740i with 104k miles. Declined the warranty, bought at 67k miles and very reliable. Was totaled with Helene. Got a X7 40i instead. Lower payment but extend my payments by 3 years 😵. Plan to keep it 10 years+
I bought a 22 X5 with 29K miles, almost at 37K now and other than needing a new battery, it's been great, was a CPO vehicle as well with a factory warranty still in place. Depends on what trim level X5 it is, but that seems very low in price for a 24 model.
Great video. Love the cost of ownership approach you took. Question - what warranty did you get on n order to be covered for 6 additional years on a used X5? I’m about to get a 2022 X5 but your warranty seems outstanding.
Is it worth getting the M sport package, especially cost associated with it? am i gonna regret if i do not opt for it... I am not worried about the exterior looks but is the steering, or any m suspension is a game changer? i am looking into 2025 bmw x5 xdrive 50e
I own a 22 45e, the M Comp wouldn't have any higher cost with it. If anything, the 50e will cost more especially if/when you have to replace the hybrid battery. I won't be owning mine past the warranty period because of that reason. I'll be going back to strictly gas for the longevity and lower cost.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thank you! I was debating over it actually! It doesn't make sense to add +5K for 50e and then in 8 years add another 6-8K for battery replacement... that is almost 13K to avoid gas mileage + some power. I think even the gas line has lot of power for my usage... But my concern is even with Gas xline, if i do not opt for M sport package ($2700+800$ ) am i gonna regret it??
@@AshokMamidalaOfficial the M sport package isn’t much, mainly cosmetics. Illuminating grill, dark headlines, shadow package, brake color and exhaust. Just depends on if you like that look or not.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed i see, thank you! I was only interested with the steering and suspension if any.. but not up for the cometic changes. I think i should be fine without m sprot upgrade. Though i like it with package, but extra 4K may be not in my consideration for this.
So from your video you ok having a perpetual car payment if you trade them in when the warranty expires. I buy and hold. One of my Toyotas is 16 yrs old and the other is 13. Excellent condition. I am thinking a low mileage X5 via CPO.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed if I understand, you buy an X5, drive it till the warranty expires and then buy another one. The cycle just continues. You always have a car payment?
@@2driverpls652 Gotcha. For me I can write off part of my car payments for business use. So the interest I do pay, I save twice that on taxes with write offs. I use all my cars for over 50% business use. So I save money having a payment. However if we trade ours for a GX. I'll probably pay that one off in a few years and not have a payment on that one for many years.
I leased a 2024 X5 50e in September. My vehicle is currently at the dealer waiting for a new dashboard screen. The Navigation screen is functional but the tachometer screen decided to f*ck off. My service coordinator reached out to me yesterday and said that a new screen was being shipped at the eye watering cost of $7,800! He said that X5’s are their best sellers (I’m in NYC) and he has never seen a screen issue before. Anyhow, I love the brand, love the platform, love the PHEV system as I get 40-50 miles per charge. Also, I love the B58. Very disappointed at the current repair… but I guess it’s a crab shoot with these issues. 🤷♂️
My 2017 X3 2.0 has the screen with lines in it. So it seems screen issues are still a thing. Others were quoted $2500 to $7300 to fix. The actual fix was posted on yt and it is a $71 part and a very easy fix. I think I'll go that route. These places must think they are saving human lives to charge that much. Crazy.

Appreciate how you mentioned about reliability and recalls as well. Most reviewers skip that.

How do you turn off the sensors when driving through the car wash for a 2025 x5?
Just push the parking sensor button to the left of the shifter.

I have recently bought 2021 CPO 40i. How come your vehicle has 6 years warranty? Have you purchased an extended warranty?
I didn’t purchase any extensions, that was just part of the warranty available on the car.
It HAS to have an extended warranty. The base warranty is 4 years.

I am thinking of trading my 2021 X3 M40I for a newer X5 with low miles. I wonder if it's a good idea. I do love the Sound of my car.
What are the issues with x3 m40i?
None actually just a little more thirsty for gas. I am not complaining.
Just depends on if you need a larger vehicle!
An X5 M60 would go through gas as well lol!
I have the 45e, I don't have the sound which I'm trying to see about fixing, but gets great mpg!
I am looking at an X5 2024 version with 21k miles at 58k without taxes… what do you think.
1) safe to buy a used x5
2) is the price in the right range

That’s the factory warranty, I didn’t purchase anything extra. It’s only 5 years total.
Does the HYbrid have the B58?
Yup! That’s what I have! B58 hybrid!
Thanks for the clear guide! Does the reduced cargo space bother you in the plugin hybrid?
