Say hello to the updated BMW X6!
This sporty coupe SUV has had a mid-life facelift, and Mat’s about to see whether the changes over the previous model are an improvement!
For starters, let’s check out the design. We’ve got our hands on the M60i edition, which means it comes with several design tweaks over the standard X6. Around the back, there’s a set of exaggerated exhausts and a mini bootleg spoiler, while along the side we have some aggressive side skirts and the carbon fibre trim door mirrors. Up front, there are some new light designs, and the aggressive upgrades continue with a new bumper.
Step inside and the X6 is a seriously nice car to sit in. The dash has been redesigned over the previous edition and now comes with a huge curved infotainment and digital driver display. Annoyingly a lot of the car’s functions are now controlled through the screen, but we can forgive it given how nice the cabin is to sit in.
When it comes to engine choices, the X6 is available with internal combustion engines only - no hybrids, and no electric editions here! The entry-level is a 3-litre straight-six turbo petrol, while the range-topper is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 like we have here. This can deliver 530hp, although annoyingly this isn’t an increase over the previous X6 M50i’s performance stats.
The New BMW X6 starts from around £75,000, but if you want to go for the X6 M60i, it’ll set you back around £116,000! So is it really worth it?! You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself…

I would rather take off the non used mass, i mean sedan- manual or auto, this engine, and this saved weight for isolation of the wind and normal suspension which is lighter when it can be all the time comfy and sporty because it will not be that heavy as it is now 🤣🤌

I've been trying to figure out if the Bowers & Wilkins set up is THAT much better than the standard Harman Kardon system on these vehicles. Here are the key takeaways from the BMW X6 M60i review:
    - The X6 is a controversial coupe-SUV design that has stuck around through multiple generations. The latest facelift updates the exterior styling and interior technology.
    - Interior highlights include a huge curved widescreen display, high-quality materials, and lots of customization options like crystal trim pieces.
    - Rear passenger space is compromised due to the sloping roofline, with limited headroom and legroom compared to a conventional SUV.
    - The 530 hp 4.4L twin-turbo V8 provides blistering acceleration, hitting 0-60 mph in 3.87 seconds.
    - Driving dynamics are surprisingly agile for the size, with responsive steering and handling aided by rear-wheel steering.
    - Tech features like reversing assistant and augmented reality directions in the head-up display are impressive.
    - However, the automated parking assistant needs some refinement to work more reliably.
    - Main cons are the compromised cargo space, thick pillars creating blind spots, and the distracting ambient lighting at night.
    - Overall it's a very capable high-performance luxury SUV if you can accept the styling and practical trade-offs.
