7:43 You (rightly) chastise BMW for making virtually everything operable only through the infotainment screen with no physical controls anywhere, but say the swivel wheel is old fashioned and won't be used? Bizarre.
Swivel wheel was originally designed because touchscreens didn't existed or were really unresponsive. However, considering touchscreens are very responsive nowadays, swivel wheel isn't as necessary, and it still requires the driver to look at the screen while using. Physical buttons are useful because the driver doesnt have to constantly look at the screen to access functions.

I love the X6! Has always been one of my favorite SUV's. A very unique SUV that combines so many traits together and stands out from all the other cars.
Here are the key takeaways from the BMW X6 M60i review: - The X6 is a controversial coupe-SUV design that has stuck around through multiple generations. The latest facelift updates the exterior styling and interior technology. - Interior highlights include a huge curved widescreen display, high-quality materials, and lots of customization options like crystal trim pieces. - Rear passenger space is compromised due to the sloping roofline, with limited headroom and legroom compared to a conventional SUV. - The 530 hp 4.4L twin-turbo V8 provides blistering acceleration, hitting 0-60 mph in 3.87 seconds. - Driving dynamics are surprisingly agile for the size, with responsive steering and handling aided by rear-wheel steering. - Tech features like reversing assistant and augmented reality directions in the head-up display are impressive. - However, the automated parking assistant needs some refinement to work more reliably. - Main cons are the compromised cargo space, thick pillars creating blind spots, and the distracting ambient lighting at night. - Overall it's a very capable high-performance luxury SUV if you can accept the styling and practical trade-offs.
I'd avoid it myself, the lack of a rear wash/wiper and the hiding of key controls in the infotainment system are too big of a glaring error to ignore, at least for me.

There was neither good headroom or good leg room for a car that size or a slightly smaller car even. Matt has this odd hard on with German cars. I really don't like the adaptive cruise control settings hidden behind screen menus. I currently own a Highlander Ltd. and prefer the maximum distance to the vehicle I am following, but if waiting for a chance to overtake, I drop that down to the minimum distance. I can do that without looking, which is safe, and while the car will break automatically if my attention was not on the traffic, there's nothing to stop you wandering left and right. OK the lane departure will sound an alarm, but it could be too late by then. Plus I don't always have lane departure turned on because it's annoying when straightening out bendy roads, but I can turn that on and off with the button right next to the cruise control distance button. I've stopped the video to make this comment @14:27 so I am hoping you are about to tell us that you can control those functions with voice commands, and stay safe.
I am waiting for the Ferrari Purosangue review still it's nice to see an SUV weighing 2 tons do 0-60 in under 4 seconds yes the Cayenne is quicker but this isn't bad considering what lamborghini is giving for lot more I would still prefer the Cayenne Turbo GT
I only ever optioned parking assistance in a car once... used it twice for the show of it... then never used it again. Waste of money. But one day I'd hope to be able to tap on the screen where I want to park and have the car do it. That could be useful.

Also, the 60i name is due to BMWs new generation of mild hybrid technology.
A 48volt mild hybrid is added to the 4.4L TT V8.
It’s speculated that future B58 models that have this mild hybrid or full hybrid will be called 50i/M50i instead of 40i/M40i.
"Cheeky bugger!" One of the funniest reviews you've ever done, Matt. top man x
I enjoyed watching this video! Too many fun and funny parts 😂 ☕️
After 25 years buying quality and sheer driving pleasured BMW’s, my view is the brand has descended into a cheap (but expensive) tacky brand focused purely on removal of the essence of what it was to drive a car in favour of a computer screen that does all
X6 is damn underrated
You misspelled overrated. The fact that a single one of these is bought over the vastly superior X5 just shows how shallow humans are and how much they want to "stand out".
Proper SUV! I've never been a BMW fan due to all the reliability issues, but their latest engines are really quite incredible, and reliability seems to be getting better.
I have x5m60. Before that had 12 BMWs different models. Never ever had any issues with the bmw cars. But had a lot with MB and Range rovers))
I've never been a BMW fan because I'm poor.
There was neither good headroom or good leg room for a car that size or a slightly smaller car even. Matt has this odd hard on with German cars. He literally looked uncomfortable and then said someone taller with obviously longer legs would be fine. You can find him reviewing other makes and saying it’s not that spacious or being critical when they aren’t as bad as this was. Very odd.
32:21 it’s faster than a GLE63s which cost about 50k€ more 😂
I believe that the BMW M6 is the best SUV in their production line. Thank you for testing this wonderful petrol SUV.💙💙❤❤🏎🏎
Patiently waiting for the next generation X4
Do the review for the new 5 series touring Mat !
Yup, way better car then the stoopid X6.
ew station wagon
£116,000 for an X6 - ouch! 😬😬
16:36 brother, there is a sloth right there on the right where that cover goes😂 you just wanted to chuck it away for fun😂
Do people in the UK say phrases like "that'll learn him"
Another great review from Matt
Why would you not just buy a better looking and more practical X5?
How can you call it better looking though? 😂 X6 makes X5 look ugly
@@alexandarchalganov2111 how lol, it’s missing the back part lol it’s like a 2 seater lol, looks funky, might as well buy a nice looking sports car, it’s absolutely pointless, did you not watch the end of the video 😂
3.87 is insane under this conditions ...wtf
Mmh Monsieur got himself a fancy new Winter jacket :)
Nah it's an old one
the moisty weather makes air streamlines look brilliant and clear
Third iteration, and it's still a moose.
The exterior looks terrible.
It's so fugly it makes the chris bangle design looks better
I think is different, has character, sort of "I don't care what everyone thinks" I think it looks good
I am waiting for the Ferrari Purosangue review still it's nice to see an SUV weighing 2 tons do 0-60 in under 4 seconds yes the Cayenne is quicker but this isn't bad considering what lamborghini is giving for lot more I would still prefer the Cayenne Turbo GT
I actually like the gear knock more. Lovely video as usual Matt, thanks. Please do a C63 E Performance vs BMW M3 Comp drag race
I only ever optioned parking assistance in a car once... used it twice for the show of it... then never used it again. Waste of money. But one day I'd hope to be able to tap on the screen where I want to park and have the car do it. That could be useful.
Condensation in the headlights. Shocking
Absolutely love my X6 40D Mrs loves it keen for a new X6M comp 🔥
So weird these new high end bmw x vehicles don’t get reclining and sliding rear seats! My 2016 x1 has them.
what does midlife lift mean? is there a whole new car coming thats gonna look different?
It would be interesting to see what the 0-60 of the X6M would be under normal conditions if it is able to do it in less than 4 in wet weather.
Can somebody explain why almost every new car has condensation issues in the headlights
In my M340i LCI disabling the Iconic Sounds also closes the external exhaust valve permanently.
The auto parking in the ix3 works all the time u need to go a bit further up for the system to find parking
yep needs to cross the back trail
Welcome back please don’t go away so long again! Enjoy your trip with the family ❤
