Test Fitting the New Wheel & Tire Setup on the Civic

- Tires are mounted and it's time for a test fit with the the new WIDER wheel & tire setup on the Honda Civic! Spoiler Alert: It's not pretty.
The final piece of the puzzle is assembled and we are one step closer to the new "stance" of the Honda Civic. Being that this is a budget civic build, I decided to re-use my tire setup from my integra LS wheels on the new Konig Dekagrams. The tires are 205/50/15 and are a perfect fit for the new 15x7.5 wheel setup. I imagine the ghetto-flush look with the new setup will be remedied by a drop in ride height and adding some slight camber for clearance.
Since I'm not a monster, I wanted to clean up the LS wheels before selling them to another local civic owner. A quick trip to the local spray and pay wash with a handful of wheel cleaners got the wheels looking shiny again for the new owner. I give you a quick comparison of some different wheel cleaners along with some friendly interaction at my local dutch brothers.
i'm excited to finally get the civic lowered on coilovers and finish this small project on the civic to make way for future projects with the car! As usual I'll put any links to the stuff I used in the video down below!

I've had those hub rings installed too by recommendation when I got my lowering springs done. Great lil add-on.

I ran the Koenig Hypergrams on my 08 R32 when I had it. They were 18x8. Awesomely light wheels. Way less than RPF1'S at the same weight

Going to eventually buy wheels and tires but for now, I'm going to clean the steal wheels, prime, then spray paint them black. Got to save on my Budget build I'm doing.

James Andrew - hub rings are only need if the hub bore is larger then your bore on York hubs. If they are needed and you ain’t using them you’re a dumbass that’s waiting for something bad to happen.
I also highly recommend Discount Tire, I purchased some aftermarket wheels through them and when they were going to mount them on my car they wouldn't clear my Brembos and they refunded my money hassle free.

When I worked at a carwash I would see the dirtiest wheels on nice cars, they would go from a deep grey to a nice silver from just spraying with a power washer, I would throw jokes once in a while with my co workers asking if they ever heard of color changing wheels, and when they said no I would spray the wheels and they would just dies of laughter

I have a set of 195/55 r15 tyres and I'm quite in love with this Integra LS Mesh wheels. Were those only sold in America? I can't seem to find anything in Europe (more specifically Portugal)
Get some boar hair brushes helps a ton with those tight spots. I got a set of like 5 on amazon for 10 ish dollars and they work fine. Wrapped them in different colored tape for different jobs. Or a cheap soft paint brush works well in a pinch. I use a big brush over the face then get the tight spots with the boar brushes.
Detailing and stuff ! Oh man, I have tons of brushes. Just didn’t bring them with me on that trip

Wondering where you found the wheels? Im assuming that they were used, as they were dirty. I have a 99 Sedan that I am fixing up myself. I saw some wheels from a newer Honda on a 99 at the puck n pull here. I just dont know what car they were from, and am afraid that they will be gone by the time I get the money to get them, and I dont know what to look for, if so.

Did you Jack it up by the core support? I have a horror story about that on my 99civic it was jacked up by the core support and the spot welds split and the support folded
Lol me and my friend were jacking up our other friends em2 by the core support and the same thing happened
@@187Tim.G yea they have a Jack spot on there but once you realize you're lifting the weight of a car by spot welds it Dawn's on you
