Hi Markus, do you know if it supports resetting the TCM oil change counter and reading the TCM oil temperature for a Volvo XC60 first generation 08-17?
Hello Markus, Thanks for your channel. I still have not yet decided which diagnostic tool to buy to work on my 9-3 2007 convertible. I have 3 options : 1) clone Tech 2 : my concern is that so far I have not been able to download TIS2000. I do have Windows XP on a virtual machine and I m using the 93 Workshop Instruction Manual, but I'm having hard time to download TIS. So I'm not buying the Tech 2 until I can have TIS2000 running on the Lap Top 2) I had consider to Buy an AUTEL 808 as the 906 is really too expensive as the User interface looks much easier than Tech 2 3) The third option will be this last one we are presenting Obviously what I want to do on the car is the foillowing : 1) changing the settings for the lights. My lights are always ON and I'd like to have them using the AUTO position 2) After a deep repair on the HeadCylinder (change gaskets, lifters, intake valves) and have ECU repaires (change of Injector Control I/C), injectors cleaned and tested, I'm still having the engine light ON with codes P0201 and P0202 (misfire cyl 1 and 2). The car is running well (much better than before the repair but I'd like to understand more> I think only the TECH 2 will allow me to change the setting for the lights, but will the iCarSoft tool help me on the misfire ? Thanks for your help Gaetan - Austin TX
Hi and thanks for watching the video :) Have you looked at SaabCentral for TIS2000 download links? Once you get it running you can get a tech2 because without security access there's not much you can do on the NG9-3 I'm afraid. At the end of the day you don't really change that much, it's mostly diagnosing, looking at different parameters and so on. The iCarsoft could probably help you with that. As you wrote, the misfires.. Looking at parameters related to that while you're driving. I have not tested any logging, but as far as I understand that's possible with the iCarsoft. So you can look at some data later on. Are the ignition-coils OK? If you can borrow a Tech2 to do the settings you need then you don't need it that much later on.. Only when there's something you want to change back again. :-) Have a great weekend.
@@TechCars Thanks for the answer. Yes I did swap the ignition coil to cylinders 3 and 4 and the misfire remains on cyl 1 and 2. I hve also replace the spark plugs with the exact recommended one. I'd like to see the actual number of misfire. I will also check the wire harness to the ignition coils and the crankshaft position sensor
Hi , just watched your video and found it useful I wonder if you can tell me if this model of scanner works for a Saab 9-3 1.9 tdi vector 2004 ? Thank you!
@@martinanderslindberg5206 I have never tested that one on the NG9-3. But i believe it simulates a Tech2 window.. So it will look kind of the same(?). However on the NG9-5 it looks a bit different from what I recall.
Thank you for doing this video.
What about version 3? This version is said to be able to change settings and add and remove modules.. I'm very curious

Hi. Thanks for watching. Yes this tool works for 2004 :) BR Markus
Hi, I have a Saab 9-3 NG convertible. Does the tool have a module for diagnosing the roof top process?
No sorry. You need the Tech2 for that.
@@TechCars Ok, thanks. Do you have any experience with VCX Nano? It seems like a more modern solution that going for a Tech2.

Does the iCarsoft VOL V3.0 for Volvo / Saab works at a 9.3 cabrio from 2007?
I think it does. V3 have some new features. I did not know that they released a V3. Nice.
Any experiance with icarsoft on 9.3 I , 1998, YS3D
Hi. I don't own the tool anymore I'm afraid. Maybe someone else can pitch in.. I neved had the possibility to try it on the older 9-3.
Anyone got a link to an actually working cheaper version of Tech2 to an saab 9-3 2005
Ive been using This. Works great, quick shipping too. The real problem is getting globaltis working, atleast for me

Hi. No sorry you can't!
Would you recommend any cheaper scanner for doing dpf regeneration?
