Hey guys, thanks to my subscribers, please correct the connections as follows, pin 6 on the ecu goes to pin 14 on the obd, pin5 on the ecu goes to pin 6 on the obd, and add a ground connection to pin 4 on the obd port ..
    Cheers

  • @dronemania23

I think you forgot to mention you need pin 4 at OBD as well to be connected to the ground which is "chassis ground" in order to work properly. I follow your instruction and never worked and then I read about the OBD wiring diagram and now it works perfectly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

I've seen a couple of video's of the ecu kit to raise and use a heatproof plate but quite expensive.
I spent £5 on ebay for some T6 anti vibration damper mounts, and just lifted my ecu up from contact manifold heat sorce which lets air pass underneath better too. So hopefully less heat into ecu and less vibration = longer lasting.

Check the big grey connector underneath the battery (connector # H24-2). Make sure no corrosion, damage, all pins are sitting at normal height and are tight. If that checks ok, swap relay #4 on the small fuse box in-front of the battery, if that doesnt resolve P1682 then replace engine computer. Inspect throttle body for any damage, excessive dirt or binding, if it checks ok in addition to the check made at first step, replace Throttle body . Cheers

I got the plausibility fault code and the car was dumping fuel, which is usually how the ECM behaves when it goes bad (I have owned 5 9-3s so this is my experience) I pulled the T8 mcp and main from the ECM and flashed it to another and I get a code for the knock sensor which I did not get before. I will have to pull the code again and take a look. The ECM does have a different part number but all the people on trionic tuning said it does not matter (with the exception of some Opel models.

    Hello,
    Saab 93, Year 2004, B207R, 55353231
I have a Saab tuned to stage 1. Approx 255hp. Unfortunately, it seems that my ecu is failing cause random misfires intermittent-periodically and vibration from the engine. So, I bought a second hand ecu with the same part number as mine.
    My biggest questions are that:
    1) If I’m going to clone my ecu to the «newone» at the end i will have 255hp again, right?
    2) How i can ensure that my map it will be on the new second hand ecu?
    3) if a mechanic clones mine to the new second hand, the new it will be the same as mine at the moment, right?
    4) You have another video, older than that. You are showing how to swap ecu. Its the same result?
Maybe are a bit stupid questions for a knower but for me is very important.
    Thanks in advance

    • @TheFlyingMechanicDIY
      @TheFlyingMechanicDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

If the ECU is cloned, then the map and tune from the old ECU will be transferred to the new one.
If the ECU is swapped using the tech2 method, then the new ECU will have the default map and tune.
Dis that answer all ur questions ?
By the way, who tuned ur car and if he used a well known tuning package or not, like HIRSH/MAPTUN ?
