- If you have iCarsoft that does not have your car manufacture loaded into it, you can still use another menu to find fault codes, clear them and see live data. In this video I explain what you need to do.

Thanks for making this video, I have a similar, (mostly cold-only) misfire and wanted to check the O2 sensors and clean them at the same time. At 9:50 your screen shows the fuel trim also fluctuating which i assume comes from voltage fluctuation. I believe that some car ECU's will intentionally shut down an injector to protect the catalytic. The annoying thing on my car is that the fault code is just for a specific cylinder misfire however I've purchased the icarsoft v2 so will be better equipped to investigate.
Enjoyed the video, thanks. I am looking at buying a diagnostic tool and will consider this brand. Its a shame these tools do not offer a second column that gives the normal or expected range of data to help the amateur mechanic 👍🏻

i have icarsoft for landrover
recently the dpf blocked up car went into limp mode
in the service menu there is a dpf regen routine
guess what it actualy worked then it cleared all fault codes.
really usefull bit of kit😊

Go into the relevant section, then you should see view data at bottom
So if the icarsoft was not bought for your make of car. It will work as a generic OBD scanner

Attention Important: The CR Pro can only operate vehicles that were built up to 2016/2017. For all newer vehicles you need the CR Pro + (until around 2021/22). No lifetime free updates... There haven't been any updates for this for a long time. Only for the system, but not for the vehicle files. Unfortunately, I fell for it too. If you want a more sustainable OBD scanner, you'll probably have to go for Launch, Autel or something similar. A pity.
Have l missed something if the diagnostic tool says that the oxygen sensor was working perfectly and running within the specified parameters. Where is the indication that prompted you to diagnose that the oxygen sensor had a problem that made no sense at all
Because the sensor voltage was looking normal, I thought I'd remove it and clean it as a build up of Carbon can lead to issues, giving false levels.
Agree, the scan tool didn't indicate any fault or isolate an issue. The gentleman cleaned the sensor due to experience.
This doesn't show you which injector is playing up though???

Why remove and clean when it was operating within its defined parameters voltage wise?
It was operating as it should, but was getting false readings due to carbon build up mate
So the diagnostic didn’t help point you in that direction at all then.
@@Crane-DriverUK it did, because the voltage fluctuated within the normal parameters, however the sensor was found to be dirty. Therefore the sensor although working was getting false inputs due to the build up of carbon.

I tried it on my Evoque and had loads of menus, try update to your software.
Promoting a product with the worst customer service EVER. Have you tried contacting their ONE MAN SHOW in the US? He lables his emails "Mr. Barnett", he responds once and then stops, does not read the emails but spits out one email with general instructions. The SD Card on my Icarsoft MBII was corrupted, I spent a week sending more than 10 emails and calling 7 times and no none picks up the phone, and no help whatsoever. I am throwing this piece of junk and getting something more reliable. Bad mistake buying this product.
I know what you mean, the product when it works is very good, but the reason I created the videos was to help others, as the customer service is not great
It is totally useless for me, just get a "Comms Error" on both my old Jags, yet nothing wrong with the ODB Port as it works fine with the Factory Jaguar Diagnostic unit from my Jaguar dealer!

When you’re in the live date menus, instead of using down arrow to get to next menu, just press the right arrow button. So, instead of you going to 1-2-3 to 6, the right arrow button will take you to 7-8-9 upwards.
