I almost made the same mistake, several years ago. I had my Bandit 600, and wanted to upgrade to the 1200. I felt it was a logical move, because I could transfer some expensive extras I’d put on the 600, mainly a Corbin seat and backrest ($500). I rode the 1200 for a little while, and decided it was just a bit too big, with a higher seat and 25 more pounds, and too powerful: 100hp vs 75 for the 600. So, I sold the 1200 at a break even, and kept the 600. Been riding it for 19 years!

I just picked up an immaculate 650S a few weeks ago. My first ever Bandit. I loved them when I was a kid but never had the chance to own one. I’m absolutely loving it!! It’s just one of those bikes that feels right as soon as you ride it. I originally bought it as my weekly slogger but it’s already become my go to bike of choice. A really great find.
I still have it. In my latest video I talk about buying a new tank & plastics for it. I found some that were in storage for 20 years. Excellent condition.

My intention is to try different engine configurations. I've had a single (CBF125), a parallel twin (Ninja 650) and an in-line 4 (Z1000SX). So next would have to be a triple, boxer twin, V/L-twin, V4 or something like that. But I have no intention of switching at the moment, very happy with my current steed.
