    The Brake and Clutch pedal rubber is really important! Worked a gas station 50 years ago wet boots on clutch or brake pedal missing the rubber or slick rubber is an accident waiting to happen.

    I’m glad I saw this. My auto body guy said I didn’t need the heat matt since the carpet already has the insulation. Here your saying use both.

    That's a good looking '70. I like how the interior had turned out. It's close to how I want my truck to look.
    I had first watched this video last year, but was worth the watch again because I'm finally getting around to purchasing parts and tools to begin my work on my '68 C10. I've watched several of Dave's videos on sheet metal repair to suspension improvements, Blazer rear tank conversion, long bed to short bed conversion, one piece window upgrades, to interior upgrades. All of which I'd like to do on my pickup. Speaking of Blazer tank conversion I had ordered my tank kit just yesterday.
    2:15 ...still like to save those (sill plates) to put them on a patina truck, or maybe one of my buddies can use them. "One man's trash is another man's treasure."
    17:46 Tosses old sill plate over right shoulder.

    Thanks for the video guys, makes me realize how doable it is to get my truck on the road once I get a new place with a garage. Can't wait. Red body white top c10, straight 6 with a 3 in the tree!

    I wanna know more about that AC! I have a 72 C30 with no AC. It’s a daily driver and I live in AZ, so I’d really, REALLY like to see a video on how to put AC in my heavy Chevy.

    What about the stock tank location? Any sound deadening advice about it? As far as how much to use or strategic places to add more strips? Thx in advance.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same amount of material applies there, and anywhere else. Minimal amount needed, vertical 1" strips up the rear of the cab would work well.

    What did you use to mark the holes in the carpet? I've read people using drill bits covered with tape or heating up "punches", that burns the carpet to expose the holes.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We use a paint pen or chalk normally, then use a small Phillips head screwdriver or an Awl to punch through.

    Just about to do this myself. Brothers order is in! Just one question - I didn't see how you ran the wires for the rear speakers. Did those pass through the door sill or should those go under the carpet?

    Just out of curiosity is there any harm in fully covering the floor with the dynamat material? Also Dave is a rockstar

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No harm in doing that. We dont recommend it due to weight, and expense, also the effectiveness doesn't necessarily increase by using more. With all that said, you can do it if you decide to without any negative effects.

      Steve, this video is an excerpt from a TV show where we are limited on time and it's mostly for entertainment. The videos produced in our studio show complete installs and every detail. If you had searched our channel you would have found an extensive library of how-to videos, probably even one that covers this exact installation.
