Gota’ like how chip ain’t scared to give away his knowledge. Lots of people with his talent are scared to give away there secrets. Thanks Chip you have inspired so many and your design cues are everywhere in the car restoration community, lots of people dont realize, but I do 👍🏻
Chip thank you for the tig tips. Many people on TH-cam do welding, but nobody explains it as well as you did here. I’m a bodyman of 33yrs and I didn’t know these finer points of welding. I appreciate you sir👍
I watched most of the hot rod shows over the years but Overhaulin was the only show my wife would watch with me because of the quality of human beings on the show. Thanks Chip and Overhaulin crew!
This is the Chip foose we all want to see and that we all miss from overhauling the one that teach us all his knowledge chip the man the myth the legend thanks to continue to be a great inspiration for all of us 🎉
Great attention to detail is what makes your work so beautiful and clean. Please use hearing protection. Once your hearing is damaged it won’t come back. If you have any loss now, it makes your remaining hearing even more valuable.
Good stuff. I used to watch my dad do this with Oxy/Acet. He dressed the weld as he went. Never had to grind anything at all. He beat it flat and smooth as he went. They never had "bondo" back then. He did a light sand with a block and file to find the dips and beat them up to smooth. I'm pretty shocked with the mig method.. very primative,
Hi Chip . Of course before you could get " pattern parts " you banded the originals , easier said than done ! I've admired your skills for longer than l care to remember ! Thankyou Master !
You're the goat Chip, no doubt about it. Love your work and your work ethic. Would love to see your videos in 4k. Easy to do, and would look fantastic.
God I'm good doing anything handmade but the way he cut that straight line with the little grinder is amazing if you don't believe try and see rarely will be so perfect he is an artist doing this
Yes of course... you made Bodington the best... and he missed you when left and he started with the tv series yes, for sure. he knew you were an under paid designer and / slash fabrication tech this side of Anaheim California ...yay!
Thanks Chip! Perfect timing, I'm just pulling the inner fenders out of the bed of my 66. How wide of a tire can you run now? Saving this video in my play list!
I have so much respect for Chip as a hands on car builder, he really deserves his own show as a fabricator and he is not someone that thinks they are a comic with a big office and a box of crayons.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I have a question: the inner part of the fender, receives the same treatment, getting smooth as the outside?
He bought 4 more tubs when he had two allready, hows that more economical, Chip might have money to burn but us mere mortals have a budget. @@almoreno3074
Why does everyone remove the small rear window on 67's? That's the last year for the old window, it's what makes the 67 special (and no side marker lamps).

He ain't given them away for free. Lol
Thanks a million for sharing knowledge in such clear and simple words, often when i hear other people talking about sheet metal fab, its quite vague.

Thank you so much for giving us your time Chip. Greatly appreciated and greetings from Melbourne Australia
Ditto, from Melb. Oz too.
And greetings from Auckland, New Zealand along with our mates over the water !
Sir, it's such a pleasure to watch you work. You make stuff like that look like me folding a piece of paper in half 😂 Thanks, Chip and crew!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Real nice Chip ! I wish I lived near you I'd come clean your shop for free just so I could watch and learn from you !
It’s amazing to me that this man still gets in the shop and still is a master with metal
I watched most of the hot rod shows over the years but Overhaulin was the only show my wife would watch with me because of the quality of human beings on the show. Thanks Chip and Overhaulin crew!
Yes same here. I always wished my wife would submit a video for then to build my truck. One can only dream. Lol

What people don't see is the many hours of work behind the scenes. You are spot on with only dealing with the HAZ area. Nice work as usual Chip! 👍
I love watching metal working videos it makes me want to go back into the garage and start fabricating, thanks chip please keep the videos coming.👍
Got to love the purple discs, they work great and last!
Every curve, edge, corner, and plain is flawless. He is so passionate about every detail.

I've got a 70 & 72 C-10 to get busy on. Lots of inspiration from Chip. 👍🏼
No time like the present 👍
Thanks for the lesson Chip. Enjoy watching you fabricate.
Shock, the workmanship is perfect.
WE'VE MISSED YOU CHIP!!! PLZ 🙏🏿 KEEP MAKING CONTENT LIKE THIS AND MORE!! WE LOVE IT!!

THE Master...! Love watching Chip work his magic, thanks for another great vid!
Thanks for sharing, always interesting and informative!

Amazing work! A truth Master!
Great video!
You the Man Chip!!
Sheet metal is truly putty in Chip's hands!
Top notch Chip! Roll Tide!
Do we get a part two of this Chip I do love the videos coming out
Thank you Mr Chip Foose!👍🏻👍🏻🖖🏻
Your tv show was good but this is so much better
❤ really nice Chip sir😁👍🇱🇷
Such a cool Truck and to be having it done by car guru Chip Foose sheesh
When Chip speaks - I listen.
Thanks Chip 👍🏽🤙
Thanks Chip! Perfect timing, I'm just pulling the inner fenders out of the bed of my 66. How wide of a tire can you run now? Saving this video in my play list!
Awesome sir.
Why not cut the original tubs ?
I have a 1968 Chevrolet C 10 short bed. I wish I could afford to have Mr Foose . Customize my truck.
The car guy's car guy. Drops it in and looks ready to weld. Love the channel! Where is Brock?
I have so much respect for Chip as a hands on car builder, he really deserves his own show as a fabricator and he is not someone that thinks they are a comic with a big office and a box of crayons.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I have a question: the inner part of the fender, receives the same treatment, getting smooth as the outside?
What about the gap between the wheel cover and the indentation where the metal stringer is in the bed?
Genius!
Chip Foose is my hereo!
👍👍
Thanks!
You can buy these inner fenders already widened in either 2" or 4" all day long. I think AMD and others make them. Or you can pay Chip.... LOL!
9:34
yep
Show 👏🏻 👏🏻
No offense to Chip, who is an expert, but if I could afford to turn 6 wheel tubs in to 2 for my project, it would look perfect also
You had two original tubs allready, why not cut them and let in the the inches you need to widen, seems overkill to cut 4 tubs to make two again
because it takes less time and reproduction fenders are cheap so economically, it makes sense
He bought 4 more tubs when he had two allready, hows that more economical, Chip might have money to burn but us mere mortals have a budget. @@almoreno3074
Reproduction parts are rarely as accurate as originals. Forming a fill strip makes more sense to me.
Chip's time would be incredibly expensive... If new tubs saves him a few hours of metal work they'd pay for themselves
Thankyou, its not just me then !@@drewpierce2273
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
NICE.
Why does everyone remove the small rear window on 67's? That's the last year for the old window, it's what makes the 67 special (and no side marker lamps).
Not everyone has the money to buy 4 wheel tubs to make a set. Just add material to the original ones?
Chip Foose needs to run for VP with Trump. Campaign slogan: "Hair Nation 47!"
Suprized he did make his own from scratch... joe martin would have🤔 texas metal would have🤔
OCD triggered. Bends not lining up @4:54
You don't think he left it like that do you?
@@TheInsaneShecklador No, but would like to see how he fixed it.
