I purchased the TMI C10 Dash Pad from CJ Pony Parts...I was told to watch this video on how to install, including the one on CJ Pony Parts website. The studs on the first pad were off about 1/8 to 1/4 of inch from the holes on my dash. The videos make it appear as if it is a simple installation but I ended up jacking up my paint job on my dash as the studs never reached and the "pushing" that is required never helped. I pushed my body weight against my TMI Seats but no luck. I paid to have someone repair my dash. CJ Pony Parts sent me a replacement as they believe the previous one was defective. This week, I received it and tried to install...same exact result. Destroyed my paint on my dash and was told "It looks so simple on the videos."
I have not received a solution...I want the dash pad, as I have the seats and console to match.
Any suggestions? Will I have to resort to drilling bigger holes?
Please advise...by the way, this video is not accurate when it comes to the dash pad. You will observe Jason attempting to install the dash pad, applying necessary pressure then the video cuts out and he is back with everything installed...including the cluster and steering wheel.
I am curious what modifications Jason and his team had to do to make it fit.

I’m experiencing the exact same thing with my dash pad, I’m going to drill bigger holes as it will never fit the way it comes from TMI, they didn’t want to show holes being drilled on a video I guess lol

After months of escalating, sending back and forth new dash pads, the team welcomed me in to their location in Corona…ultimately, they had to open the the holes about another 1/8 and then it fit like a glove.
Great group of folks…while I was there I was interested in another product. They offered a decent discount, but was about the same price prior to them raising their prices…LOL. You’d think will all the frustrations they would offer a little better deal to put a smile on their customers face.
Anyhow, great group of folks. They gave me an awesome tour and that was unexpected.

Any room for subs behind the seat?

TMI used to be a great deal , remember when they first started.......so overpriced
Do your research , I found a local upholsterer that does 100 times the quality , for a fraction of the TMI swollen head price

Lol upholstery shops around here want 2500+ to recover a bench seat with vinyl.. it’s cheaper for me to buy the tmi seat, brackets, and shipping.

Cut the video so they didn’t have to show holes being drilled for improper placement of screws on the TMI dash cover lol
