I really love this! I resonate most with everything but specifically the 1 of 11 steps. I am a caregiver for my spouse and something simple like going the bathroom is 100 steps. While I can’t imagine traveling right now, I loved seeing what might be possible at some point.

They should just be advocating more for the care of wheelchairs in aerolines companies :(

& That’s exactly what Shane, & Hannah did!! They didn’t give in, they waited for SHANES CHAIR!! 👏🏼💜
I think, one also has to look at, it was only to get off the plane, maybe they thought that was o.k. not knowing risk etc. It does hold up 100s and huge cost when a plane is late to take.off.
No way,, to send chair ahead, like other supplies. ... I have looked at such for yrs. As a kid, I thought have 2 spots that wheel chairs could lock in. Learned, Wt, sz....impossible told. Thru child's eye today, they were all on Shane's side. "He did not do something wrong, like diving in river, " but hit the hardest seems. So sorry, Hannah and Shane deals with such, EVERY TIME. We are listening, tell us how to make change happen. Put that pro go on that chair wtw is going down in baggage? Strollers are un hurt, usually given at side door. Maybe a wheelchair manufacturer make a trip with you 4.

@kss8866 it's pretty simple. Baggage handlers have no respect for customer's belongings. Not even wheelchairs. They jerk and push and throw. It doesn't matter how many times they break, lose or ruin something. They do not care. I've been there with my scooter.

In 2024 You would think that airlines would A) find space in cargo large enough to store wheelchairs without disassembling them. B) Take a row of seats out, reserved for ADA passengers, nearest the plane's entrance. If you can secure a chair in a van, you can secure a chair on a plane. Great video guys. Glad you have the perfect traveling companions!
Great video. I think that the more you call them out on these mistakes they’re making with these expensive wheelchairs.. the more they will see that you all expect better treatment than this. They should be able to do better. Let’s hope things get better with the way. They treat wheelchairs. Great video. Very good. Really enjoyed it.🥰🥰❤️❤️
You’re right , it’s wild that they don’t already have that capacity. All you would need is a wider entrance to allow the chair to maneuver. And I’m sure it would save the baggage handlers time and damage claims
Absolutely spot on. Sadly the airlines just don’t care. They’ll charge you literally an arm and leg for a plane ticket. But they will throw your things and destroy it and not think twice. They are lazy and sloppy and there’s no excuse for poor work as an employee.

Most likely have to get a wheelchair soon due to a back injury and a broken wheelchair is the #1 thing I am so nervous about traveling because of y’all’s stories. It appalls me the way airlines treat people that are disabled! So glad yall made it safely and had a great trip 😊
Sorry the airlines do not know how important it is not to damage a person's wheelchair when this is how they get around. Thanks so much to the Wheel The World for your kindness & humanity for these two amazing couples. Enjoy your stay guys

Crazy how airlines are in regards to people with disabilities! When will this end?! Glad to see you all made it to Cancun! Hope you had an amazing time! Sorry Cole that you got overheated! No bueno! 🥵
The airlines are inconsiderate and careless with everyone. We've all heard how they mishandle pets, children traveling alone, guitars, rare instruments, anything labeled "fragile," etc. They don't care.
Oh stop already. You do realize it’s like getting a small motorbike on a plane right? It’s not the airlines fault! Stop the victim mentality. They are so very fortunate to be able to go on this trip in the first place! I also know neither of them paid for that expensive wheelchair.
The breakfast bacon scene was a bro moment. I loved it! Only brothers eat after each other :) I just love your two families!

I have been following you guys for a while and I think all four of you are wonderful encouraging young people. I want you to know that you all are so amazing. I am 61 years old and I have never done half of the stuff that you guys have done and I'm happy to see that people that regardless of their challenges you do so many fun things it just gives me hope. I am 61 years old and I am disabled but I am not going to let no disability stop me from loving life because you all have given me that hope thank you so much. Love you guys so very much may God bless you. And happy birthday coley. You're such a sweetheart and your wife is absolutely fabulous fantastic and gorgeous.

I never really gave much thought about how and what airlines do with someone's personal wheelchair, It was very eye-opening. Thanks for sharing. I 100% wholeheartedly agree that the entire airline industry needs to do better.

I have been to Cancun. I went in August. Never no more. The best time to go there is when it is winter time in the States. The water is so beautiful there.
