I work for a car insurance company that was founded on and continues to be focused on insuring disabled drivers and adapted vehicles and honestly, your truck adaptations blew my mind. That set up is incredible. I've never see anything like it. So glad you have that vehicle and that set up to give you the independence and ability to travel!
A boy from my community just had a terrible accident with an ATV wreck, he’s now paraplegic and still has too much weakness to even talk. Seeing how much “normal” life can still be after an SCI is so reassuring. Thank you for this ❤️🙏🏼

I do enjoy "day-in-the-life" types of videos. They help me to see what's not so accessible (or at all accessible) for someone in a wheelchair (or other assistive device). I'm starting to notice when I'm out and about when something isn't accessible, and I'm asking my kids if they think someone using a wheelchair would be able to access certain things. And, wow, so many doors are not accessible for wheelchairs or anyone with low arm strength!! Fast food restaurants always seem to have heavy doors! So thanks for helping us to become more aware! Now I just have to figure out how I can help make our world more accessible. :)

My dad would try and drive my van. He has a built-up shoe and had to use my hand contoura. For gas and brake. He would give me whiplash almost. Thank goodness one day in his small town we stopped at the stop sign. He forgot to take off low he jumped and we bounced and I said go because we were in the middle of the road. Then we jumped again. I was so happy to get out. We laughed about it for a long time.

Charisma I applaud you for having the courage to not only get behind the wheels of such a huge and intimidating vehicle, but actually driving it. Cole did a great job of explaining the complexities of maneuvering such a vehicle. You go, Girl!
I have the controls that goes down for gas and forward break. I also have a round ball thing on the steering wheel to help me with turns. I don't have any of the extended things like you do for like the blinker, etc... I think Charisma would be fine if she used it a few more times. When I took drivers education I had to practice a little more than everyone else in the parking lot before I was aloud on the roads. The controls were the opposite that what my car ended up with. It was forward for gas and down for break. Every time I get a different vehicle the controls feel different. Makes me nervous for first few times. Great job Charisma!👍
Way to go! Being able to drive definitely allows for so much more freedom. I can't walk much but driving is one thing I can do. I've known people who had extras to drive but for most people that would be confusing.
