The beauty of Hanoi is a very unique beauty, and it is the endless inspiration for many Vietnamese artworks (poems, songs, paintings, etc...) I feel extremely lucky to be a citizen living in the heart of this city. After a tiring week of work, I often ride a motorbike with my best friend through the streets, around West Lake and sometimes I even go on Nhat Tan Bridge to see the prosperity of the city, which I can see the growing day by day of my hometown. I often go through Long Bien district and sit at a high-rise cafe close to the Chuong Duong bridge to see the most romantic beauty of Hanoi in the late afternoon. Thank you for visiting Hanoi Vietnam, thank you for your video. Wishing you happy and have many meaningful and peaceful trips in the future.
This is so well said! We also feel quite inspired by Vietnam and Hanoi! We’ve not been to some of these places, so we’ll have to make it next time we’re there. Thank you for your comment and for watching our video. 🤗
Mr. Mike & Mrs. Ashley:Congratulations to you guys to heads Hanoi, Vietnam this weekend in great joy & peace to tried some amazing teas & delicious foods in Hanoi, Vietnam 2024❤❤❤
Thật vui khi 2 bạn đã trở lại Trúc Bạch quê hương của tôi, chủ của quán phở cuốn Vinh Phong là một người bạn của tôi. Hà Nội luôn mong muốn sự có mặt của các bạn❤❤
Oh wow! Tell them that they are doing a great job! 😋😋😋 We LOVE Truc Bach. Such good vibes there and wonderful people and food! We hope to stay in Truc Bach again the next time we come to Hanoi. 🙏
Mike and Ashley, I really love your energy and friendliness when exploring Vietnam. I also like egg coffee much more than egg beer (the latter I think is just gimmicky). Have you tried Nầm Bò Nướng? Last time I was in Hanoi, my friends and I decided to try it at a super busy vendor near Hoan Kiem Lake and it's really tasty. Basically they gave you a stove and a plate of cow's breast so that you can cook it on your own. People in the North seem to prefer cow's breast, whereas in the South we usually eat goat's breast or pig's breast.
Thank you so much! We’re glad you like our vibes. 🤗 We haven’t! But we’ve seen people trying it, and it looked good, but we never took the opportunity sadly. 😅
I love the part where you drink with the locals! It happened to me as well while I was in Hanoi and I had so much fun! Vietnamese people are amazing 🇻🇳
100%! The people make Vietnam amazing for sure. We have had so many amazing experience with locals in Vietnam, we just don’t film it. We live and enjoy the moment.
Welcome to VN, I am Vietnamese and I'm so happy when more foreign tourists come to visit our country. Although I live in HN, I haven't been able to go all the way to this beautiful city. If you still stay here, I highly recommended that you visit Hoa Lo Prison and use headphones to listen to these prison stories
Hopefully you’ll be able to visit Sapa one day. It’s really lovely. We actually have visited Hoa Lo Prison, you can see our experience in this video: th-cam.com/video/7jGfVVJKUnI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Or-4LKw7eh13eRnf We feel like it’s something everyone who visits Hanoi should experience. Hello Mike and Ashley, interesting piece of history about rice paddy water puppet show thousands years ago Mike👍.The teahouse was such a sensory stimulated place .Wow the train was so close, barely enough room for only one row of sidewalk sitting, and firm footing a must those standing😊. Hanoi is full of activities , people out and about even more after sunset👍
Congratulations to you guys to heads Hanoi, Vietnam this weekend in great joy & peace March of 2024❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys & good luck always in peace on your remarkable visit in Asia 2024❤❤❤

Ahh we miss Vietnam so much! The tea and the ceremony looked amazing and when we went to train street we found the wrong place and there was no one there! 😅 Another great vlog guys! ❤
Thanks so much! We do as well. We keep resisting the urge to just move to Vietnam, but there is still so much of the world to explore. We had the same problem visiting Train Street on our first visit to Hanoi. 😅

Thanks so much! This is an amazing compliment and makes us feel so proud. We’re glad you found our videos entertaining and informative. We hope we can make many more videos about Vietnam! 🤗
I LOVE that tea place you went to. I'm big on kitchen gadgets for all kinds of stuff including tea and coffee so I was green with envy for all the teapots, cups, tea warmers, etc. I would probably buy everything in there or hunt down those items if I was there. I just love collecting (hoarding) stuff for the kitchen...I've yet to use all the stuff I've acquired over the years, but I keep wanting it all. LOL! What a cool place, for sure.

Many wealthy Vietnamese built their town houses with French facades in the old/ancient quarters so it's kind of intertwine with the French quarter somewhat, so tourists have a mental picture of old quarter as one area. You guys are very upbeat and fun, I love watching your videos, safe trips anywhere.
Thanks so much for this information. We didn’t know all of the distinctions, but that makes sense! We’ve been trying to branch out from old quarter during our trips, so next time we’ll explore even more! Perhaps we’ll be able to share this information in a future video! ☺️🙏
@@mikeandashley Please take the Cat Linh Metro, it runs on an elevated track so you can see an overall views of the city. The second Nhon Metro line is expected to open June 2024 of this year, I'm sure many people like to see aerial views from this line too. The double deck city tour bus is also good, as the routes run through the 2 French quarters, you can see lots of French buildings, despite they say 90% were gone since the war. Take care and good luck with future travels .
Mike/Ashley: exploring cooking classes in Hanoi & learn a few easy dishes. It would be good to know how to make some favorite dishes when you return home. And a brand new skill set. Try it.

I’m a Vietnamese living in Australia. I was watching your videos before going back home for tet and I loved them all. I actually saw you two in Hanoi and wanted to say hi but you gone too fast. I’m just so happy to see my family in your video though even briefly ❤16:05 Keep up the good work guys ❤❤
Oh wow! That’s awesome. We wish we’d have been a bit slower so we could have said hi! And how fun that your family made a small cameo in our video. 🥰 Thanks so much for following along and saying hello! 🤗
The purple leaves eaten with vermicelli are perilla leaves, which are very good for health, especially for beautiful skin. They can also be crushed to apply to the skin to treat melasma on the face.
Mike & Ashley, you guys have perfected your trip in Vietnam by visiting Hanoi once again! I smiled a lot watching this well-made insightful video, you guys have no idea how much you guys are gonna help people to get to know more about Hanoi. Thank you guys so much for loving my hometown, me and other Hanoian and ofc all Vietnamese people can't wait to welcome you guys back with more interesting and happy moments in Vietnam ❤
Thank you for the kind words! We love Vietnam and have fallen in love with Hanoi. Every time we have to leave due to our visas we are saddened. Hopefully we’ll be able to come back and visit soon!
We would love to see Hanoi in the fall. It sounds incredible! We also regret not visiting Ninh Binh again, so hopefully we’ll get a chance to check it out again! 🙏
New subscribers here ! Stumble on your channel , such a great content , Ashley spoke so eloquently, she is beautiful , keeps up the great work and looking on binging your great content
I was there got a good vid for my channel and soon after they closed the train street. Then it opened again due to the uproar. Northern Vietnam is my favorite place of all and of coarse Sapa. Spot on with the Bahn mi! Enjoyed your vid!@
Thanks Mike! In our first Hanoi video, Train St also appeared to be closed. But this time, we’d walk by (we were staying close at one point) and it was always packed with people walking freely. So we figured we’d give it a shot! Thanks for watching! 🙏
OMG I first came across your channel in last year's Vietnam adventure, and it's so cool to see that you guys have gone back. It puts a smile on my face seeing how much more comfortable you guys are walking around, can definitely tell you have greater confidence traversing the city. I also love adding chili to my fish sauce sauce, have always done that for any fish sauce type dishes I've eaten, definitely a normally thing to do--be careful though, of nuoc mam's that have a lot of birds eye chili in them, from time to time the chilis will be stronger than normal, but always love a good kick. Watching you guys eat bun cha, it's also obvious you guys are becoming really familiar and comfortable with Vietnamese food, your chopsticks skills are great. I'm grew up in the U.S. so mine aren't so good, but I'm getting there with practice, and these days I much prefer them w/Asian cuisines over spoon and fork for many cases because of the precision with which I can pick up exactly what I want. I'll never be as good as my parents are with chopsticks, but it's nice to finally be competent at it 😊 can't wait to go back and watch the rest of Vietnam adventure 2.0, cheers and am so happy you guys are doing well!! ❤
Hey! Thanks so much for watching again! Yea, at the point, Vietnam feels like a second home to us, so we feel quite comfortable. 😊 Good to know about our chopstick skills! This gives us great pride. 😁🥢 I’ve even thought about using them with spaghetti from now on since they are so much easier than a fork for noodles haha.
I lived 500m from this railroad and moved out on 2020. When I was 10-18 years old I used to come here at my friend's house. Never thought this will be famous.
Oh wow, I bet that is a wild thing to see happen over the years. So it’s not so old then. Thanks for sharing that. We love learning from the comments. Hope you’re having a great day!
I actually enjoy Pho Bo Cuon with peanut sauce that you eat Spring/Summer rolls with. Fish sauce is not my kind of sauce for anything that's rolled, except, fried spring rolls that you eat with veggies. P.S. Please try Bún mắm (soup or dry) before leaving Vietnam.
Oh, that sounds amazing! I wish we’d thought of that! We didn’t used to like fish sauce at all, but now we’ve grown to really enjoy it. 😋 Thanks for the tip, and we’ll have to try those noodles next time as well!
The banh mi place you pointed out as your favorite is one I've not ssen before. Most people go to the same 2-3 places in Hanoi, so glad you pointed that place out as you've more experience there than most tourists whom are in and out in a week. As far as Train Street, that didn't look like the main one or is it? It's super busy, though, busier than I've seen in recent videos where they show Train Street still blocked off. I've seen where the trains go faster through Train Street, too.
Oh nice! Yea, we found it our first time in Hanoi and I’ve been addicted ever since. Everything is so fresh and well balanced. Great sauce as well. As far as train street, I believe that is the main part. There’s one point where you get to it and two directions you can go. If we were facing out of old quarter, we went left. In our first video when we couldn’t go, we were in the same place, but near the right. Either way, it was cool to be able to see it finally haha. 😂
My SIL told me a year or two ago that a lot of Vietnamese are growing them for tea since they are supposedly to be healthy (probably because of the beautiful purple color). Since they grow like weeds, I should try to grow my own and make tea out of it this summer.
Yes! We’ve learned so much about how to use chopsticks from our time traveling, but the game was really elevated in Vietnam! Now we carry chopsticks with us everywhere incase we need utensils! 😅😂
There is an other part of train street 2km away from the old quarter which is so much better ( less crowded and not being overpriced ). I can show u guys next time when u back
I was watching "REM Lifestyle" video on "Top Five Noodles to try in Hanoi" and it looks like they found some really great places with a variety of noodles. You should try some of the noodles they feature...although after your comment on seafood, I dunno. LOL! It's kind of hard to avoid seafood in Vietnam as there is this love affair with things that reside in water. I'm surprised Mike doesn't like it as he's Italian descent...but if you guys grew up in Middle America, that may be the hindrance as good seafood is hard to find in the US. But I suggest giving the noodles they tried a go along with bun rieu, bun bo nam bo, bun thit nuong, bun oc (chewy snails!!), cha ca la vong (turmeric fish in dill), pho tron, mien tron muc, etc. Oh, and also hunt down the nem nuong Nha Trang in Hanoi. You'll love it. Also go look for the savory sticky rice (xoi) there with all kinds of stuff on it (the sweet version as a snack or the version with ice cream as dessert is great, too). Give chao (congee) a try as well, but find a place that serves it with the fried breadsticks to dip or toss in the chao. Dessert-wise, look for the grilled bananas wrapped in sticky rice and doused with coconut sauce. Or try che troi nuoc (favorite hot che) or the avocado ice cream with coconut or the che like Jayesh Chhaya found in Ninh Binh (that's my favorite type of cold che, but very few people showcase it).
We LOVE bun thit nuong and bun Bo nam Bo! We didn’t grow up in middle America, my parents LOVE fish and seafood, I just never developed a taste for it aside from sushi and some things like lobster. It’s just not our preference. 😅 We’ve never heard of this channel! We’ll have to check it out. That sticky rice sounds amazing. We’ll definitely add it to the list for next time! Thanks as always for all the great suggestions! 🙏🙏
@@mikeandashley Oh, man, you've got to try the snail restaurants where they serve the snails in coconut sauce, clams and other shelled critters topped with scallion oil and peanuts....maybe that should have been part of your "adventurous" food tour. LOL
Bun Cha Hang Manh is my favourite too and yes I agree it's better than bun Cha Obama. Next time try the famous sizzling Beef Steak at 20 hoe nhai near the night market. ❤

The double deck city tour bus is also good, as the routes run through the 2 French quarters, you can see lots of French buildings, despite they say 90% were gone since the war. Take care and good luck with future travels .
I saw this metro last time we were staying in Ba Dinh! I never knew Hanoi had a metro line. I usually just walk or take the bus.

I’m a Vietnamese living in Australia. I was watching your videos before going back home for tet and I loved them all. I actually saw you two in Hanoi and wanted to say hi but you gone too fast. I’m just so happy to see my family in your video though even briefly ❤16:05
Keep up the good work guys ❤❤
That's good to know. I'll have to eat more perilla leaves now. Thank you for watching! 🥰
Love you, hope you have more fun when visit to Viet Nam!
Thank you! We love our visits to Vietnam and can’t wait to return.
Ashleys lachen ist unbezahlbar😊🤞!
Haha, thank you! 🥰🤣
Chúc các bạn du lịch vui vẻ

Món này chúng tôi đã tự làm uống từ nhũng năm 70 . Tự đánh trứng bằng những cây đũa ,sau đó cho chút mật ong và cuối cùng đổ bia vào.
Oh wow, that sounds lovely. We’ve never tried making anything like this, but maybe we’ll share it with our families when we return home. 😋
It's a beautiful video I really say go ahead I hope one million people will join you this program is mind blowing good tour success sir

New subscribers here ! Stumble on your channel , such a great content , Ashley spoke so eloquently, she is beautiful , keeps up the great work and looking on binging your great content
Aw, thank you so much! 🥰🫶 We’re really happy you enjoyed the video. 😊🙏
Another TEA-riffic video my friends, i loved it.. thank you
Thanks Vu! ☺️🫶 That tea was pretty awesome.
@@mikeandashley you mean pre-TEA awesome 👌
Lol, we didn’t… but now we do! 🫖
You should admire Ban Gioc waterfall in Cao Bang province, located on the border of Vietnam and China, it is the largest waterfall in Asia 😊
We have it on our list! But we just haven’t been able to make it there yet. Next time we’re in Vietnam, we will do more exploring. 🙏
Love this video from first scene. Have a nice trip! ❤
Thank you so much! We had a lot of fun filming it. ❤️
Good to know about our chopstick skills! This gives us great pride. 😁🥢
I’ve even thought about using them with spaghetti from now on since they are so much easier than a fork for noodles haha.
Chúc 2 bạn có nhiều trải nghiệm về nền ẩn thực của đất nước chúng tôi nhé,yêu 2 bạn
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️❤️
Great video thanks for sharing
Thank you! We’re happy you enjoyed it.
Bạn rất xinh đẹp tôi rất thích chúc bạn vui vẻ và có những lần quay lại tiếp theo
Aw, thank you so much! 🥰 We will always return to Vietnam!
Vedio hay xin chào 2 bạn quay lại Việt Nam ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Tuyệt vời. Chúc 2 bạn thật nhiều năng lượng
Thank you! 😊
Try Nha Trang next time, you guys will love the city!
We’ve actually been to Nha Trang! We loved it. You can watch that video here:

2 bạn hãy đến VN sống 1 vài năm 🥰
That would be amazing! Maybe after exploring a little bit more of the world we can come live in Vietnam for a few. That would be a dream!
The Perilla leaf(purple leaf) also has super high vitamin D/calcium that’s why it’s good.
My SIL told me a year or two ago that a lot of Vietnamese are growing them for tea since they are supposedly to be healthy (probably because of the beautiful purple color). Since they grow like weeds, I should try to grow my own and make tea out of it this summer.
Ah! That explains it. ☺️🤗
hold a big sip of tea in mouth for a few second, then swallow it. rinse around. the flavor even better. the expert way to enjoy tea :D
Ah, thanks for the tip! We'll try this next time. 🥰
Cảm ơn 2 bạn❤
Thank you! 🤗
because we still and always young🎉🎉🎉🎉
☺️☺️🙏🙏🥰🥰
Chúc bạn một tháng mới sức khoẻ🎉
Thank you! To you as well. Cheers. 🥰🫶
I too feel in love with Hanoi.
It’s so easy to do. We hope to return many more times. 🥰🥰🥰
cám ơn các bạn đã đến Việt Nam, quan trọng hơn nữa là biết dùng đũa để ăn bún chả chúc các bạn có chuyến du lịch thành công
I can show u guys next time when u back
Good to know! Thanks for the tip. We'll definitely return to Hanoi and would love to see the less-touristy side of Train Street. 🙂
We’ve never heard of this channel!
LOL
I was actually surprised that we didn’t try oc on that tour! 😅

Hello! 👋
Bun Cha Hang Manh is my favourite too and yes I agree it's better than bun Cha Obama. Next time try the famous sizzling Beef Steak at 20 hoe nhai near the night market. ❤
Aye! Good that it’s not just us! We miss bun cha so badly! We’ve seen people eating the sizzling steak, but never gave it a try. 😋
