I have a 2020 tacoma and my truck did that squeak about a month after getting it. It does it randomly not all the time. I wish Toyota would do a recall on this because its a very common problem on the 3rd gen. There are other videos that talk about the front body mounts causing this squeak but not to this detail. Thank you for making this video!!!
@@stephenlivingston877 Naw, unfortunately I had to get a bunch of work done about 2k worth. Had to change my upper/lower joint arm, struts, bushings, tire rod, transmission mount, etc.
Thanks for pointing this out. My 2021 Limited has a passenger side squeak. I bought the truck with used with 6,000 miles. I have trying to locate the squeak for the last year. I will now inform the dealer. Thanks
3800 miles on a 2023 TRD Sport and I just had the driver’s side mount replaced at the dealership. It took about 6 weeks to go from “is that a noise I hear?” to setting up an appointment at the dealer to handle this awful squeak and creak. Now, I’ve just started to hear the beginning of the passenger side squeak too. Dealership of course handled under the warranty so it didn’t cost me any cash but it did cost me 3 hours of a Wednesday morning. I recommend doing both mounts at the same time. Even if only one is noisy.
Have the same issue with my 2018. Been that way for years. Took it in under warranty and of course they couldn't figure it out. I bet this is it. Thank you for the video.
I have the same problem on my 23 Tacoma. The dealership is swapping out the same two front mounts and both of the lower control arms. My truck only has 3750miles on the odometer.
Had same problem. Both front engine mounts were sheared in half. Instead of using rubber replacement mounts decided to go with polyurethane ones from Direct Energy. Polyurethane is exponentially stronger than rubber and has a much higher resistance to water and intense heat.
Toyota dealers will fight you tooth and nail to avoid fixing known toyota quality issues like this too. My 23 4runner had a headlight replaced, and the entire front differential was bad from brand new. First dealer was forced to change the headlight and the front differential they blamed on tire noise. " It's NORMAL " It got very bad by 14,000 miles and took it to another dealership. Yeah the entire front differential was full of metal. Toyota quality has been going down. I miss my 2014. It never had a single issue.
Dude my squeaking problem was they didn’t tighten the driver side camber and castor bolts. It was so loose I could tighten it with a regular socket wrench
I has the same thing last year on my 22 tacoma, it seems to be a design flaw defect. On the same size as well. No off roading. One toyota tech said it would reappear. The dealer fixed it for free.
When I change my oil every 5000 miles . And thankfully having use of a mechanics lift . I liberally spray all rubber components underneath with 303 Protectant . To help them resist drying out and cracking .
My 23 TRD OR with 12,000 miles does it, just started on the pass side. Over speed bumps or any straight on hits nothing but if you drive at low speed and swerve the wheel it makes the noise. It’s very hard to wiggle the car and observe at the same time. I thought maybe it was my mid skid loose and slipping but nope, it’s something up front.
@@MichaelPatterson-w6g it was coming from leaf springs in my case, I just pressure washed them and sprayed all joints with fluid film. It went away for a while
@@andreysmirnovusa I have the sane issue , didn’t know if someone found a permanent solution .. on the body mount on front I contacted Dorman they said they didn’t have anything for it . Did u match it up or did someone give u the part number to buy ?
Nose ingles pero por el video entiendo tengo una Tacoma 2021 ase lo mismo pero el número d pieza q apárese ay no le queda es para una d 2 da generación ? Entonces cual número d pieza es para una 2021
I had the same problem, 23 with less than 10k miles, took me an afternoon to pin point where its coming from. But i soaked the heck out of it with silicone spray and it has gone away. If it comes back before i have to trade it in for a new truck, i guess i will spray it again lol.
sad you had to do that to basically a new vehicle. In our business we run Tacomas and have the same problem with the leaf springs squeaking. Be prepared for the Toyota loyalists telling you its your fault and not Toyota.
I have a 2022 Toyota Tacoma with the same problem. It makes a lot of noise when going over a pothole. I took it to the dealer to get it under the car's warranty, but they say it was due to a hit on the car. They are liars. This is one of these problems. cars
Good job pin pointing the noise. I hear this occasionally backing out of my driveway. Thanks for the video. 🇺🇲

I’ve been having this issue for years and it would come and go and I could never really get it nailed down. Thank you.
great video! nice to see guys who can use their brain and still do things for themselves.
You are my hero! This has been driving me crazy for months. Mine is on passenger side but identical sound, symptom and location.
Thank you soo much for this. Just started hearing it in my 2002 Taco a few weeks ago, it’s been driving me crazy.
Did it work for you? My 02 just started as well

I took mine in 3 times and they couldnt figure it out, replaced a strut and everything.
Just did mine on my 2015. Used the Amazon part. Cured the creek. 👍🏻

yes but the downside is they are harder and give a harsher ride

I just got my Tacoma 2021 TRD Sport. I started to hear this after like 2-3 weeks.
I thought I was the only one with this problem! Incredible, what is happening with Toyota's quality?
mine doing the same thing. time to get my hands dirty. great vid. thanks!
Interesting. I started noticing that sound about 3 months ago when I go over speed humps in our neighborhood.
Mine’s a 2021 Taco with 56,000 miles
Did you put TRD PRO Fox suspension on a SR?
Only 7 model years of production still have the same issues. Toyota has eased up on the quality improvement standards.
Would it make the sound when you turn left or right?
I am having that issue. Any ideas to what it may be?

Not sure where you're from but very cool accent. Never heard anyone speak like this.
My 23 Tacoma has this same annoying issue on the passenger side. Only 15k miles. I thought it was a suspension part at first to.
Did u fix the rear suspension squeak and what was it ?

Ve a amazon pone los datos de tu troca luego busca esos soportes u automaticamente te dice cuales le quedan

Why wouldn’t you bring it to the dealership and have it fixed under warranty?
@@briangarity6336they don’t fix it I’m fighting them now
There was no warranty?
Is the dorman part # a set or just one piece? Thanks in advance
I think it was just one piece that I got with that part number
THAnk YOU!!!
Nice truck thanks for video
The big question is how did this bolt actually get bent .. new rubber is not going to stop it from being bent again
Why not just get oem mount? Its a very expensive truck and yet putting a cheap amazon knock off?
You mean the oem that was good for 10k miles and failed
Well done!
I have 2023 Tacoma with 10000 mile and I have the same squeak noise
I hope this video helps to understand what is the true culprit :)
Why isnt anyone getting this warrantied at the dealership? lol 3yr 36000 cover this
Thanks
It’s the shocks friends the plástic at the top is broken on mine that made the weird noise

Toyota Crickets not at all paradise 😮
😂👋
I clicked on this thinking Zelensky owned a tacoma😅
This was clickbait LOL
The issue and solution were exactly what the title says 😅
Your a lucky man and because of the truck.
