There're only two reasons why Citroen not doing well
    1. Poor marketing
    2. Lack of outlets/ service centres

Scorpio & some Maruti cars can still decently despite lack of features because of thier brand name/legacy, resale value and good reliability. All of which a new player like Citroen lacks in the indian market.

Citroen needs to up their marketing and expand their service network. Then they will surely do better. The new C3 shine turbo MT DT variant seems to be more vfm than the Punch IRA MT DT variant. It solves the "lack of features" issue that the C3 had. It offers all the necessary features but gives you the power of a turbo petrol. I hope that C3 will see a jump in sales because of this variant.

Their plan is slow and steady growth with a long time emphasis... Excellent espisode and good analysis. French car makers have always failed in India, for mainly 2 reasons: 1. They dont fully invest in their Dealership. 2. They are still stuck in the 1930's look and feel and think global audience will like their french taste.. ( I feel Indian Car buyers are very savy of the look and feeel of the car). Also, Service is very important aspect, even a brand like Tata fails today not because they dont have a good car, their service is not par with other Korean and Japanese makers. I think Tata has really played a game changing role with their new models and better quality. I always wonder and appreciate how KIA enterted and captured the market so fast. Even in the US, I see a lot of KIA brands on the raod.

Cousin owns C3 Shine. Nice car. For Indians, when choosing a car, style and driving dynamics rank much lower than 'features'. Plus, their marketing is poor. That's why Citroen sales is poor. But with more model, they will improve. I think if there was a automatic version of C3, sales would have been more. The C5 aircross is in a tough segment. Renault is not doing bad. In 2022, sold 87k units. It is too early to say French cars are failures in India.

    4) In the 5+2 segment of C3 aircross, the 3rd row isn't sufficient for adults. It is okay only for the kids, but still there are no windows/ventilation in the 3rd row.
