Well tata has a reliability issue and hundai/kia suzuki are unsafe and mahindra 3xo is UGLIEST so sensible option is what people should take. More feature create more maintenance like having a sunroof in hilly areas don't make sense
I agree with the first two but the third is more of a personal opinion and design preference. Mechanics and safety are facts but design is a personal choice and not a fact.
Citroen should design atleast one plug-in hybrid for Indian market. They already have the tech to do so and pretty sure they will be leading the market in this segment.

Hello Gagan Sir, Also mention *Safety Rating* and its *testing authority/agency*. Now anyone who is purchasing the vehicle, *safety rating* is one major criteria. Citroen makes really good engine and suspension but C3 got of *0 Star* in GNCAP!
The testing norms have changed at GNCAP. Send a Tata Tiago from 2016 now and it will score zero stars there, but back in the day it scored a decent 4 stars. So, please do not go by those ratings blindly. How good a car drives can decide whether you will meet with an accident or not. FYI, I own a Tata Tiago from 2017, so I brought it up as an example.
@@chahem GNCAP now requires cars to have a lot more features than what they did in the past. Mine has only 2 airbags, no ADAS, no ISOFIX anchorage, etc. You must know that the body shell integrity of the Tiago was found to be unstable when it had scored a 4 star back then. A rating of zero was probably an overstatement to lay emphasis on the fact that it would score a low rating, but yes, as per my understanding it's going to score way lower than what it did back then.
If this car scores good on safety rating(atleast 4 stars) , change door handles and atleast give a single button door lock. It looks like a very well rounded product.

This is a good review despite soft criticism which is reasonable. The top-end model should be under 12-13 lakhs. Mileage is a little lower but tbh petrol cars with Indian traffic is not a good combination. Yet this engine is promising for drive leisure so no complaints. Citroèn is trying to reach a segment where people are conscious about value of owning the car ( Buy + after sales service). Certainly it should not become a burden on pocket due to its mileage & cost of service which will defeat the purpose. Overall it's a very good package with lovely design❤. It should sell good numbers.
Yes cruise control. Good car in 8L bas Citroen ko after sales service, network, parts pr dhyan dena padega. Hyundai ki grand I10 nios, exter, punch, ignis, Swift in sab se compete krna h toh because same price h
Citroen has the potential to make much better cars than suzuki, hyundai, tata, & mahindra. There engine, design, handling and ride quality is genuinely good in it's segment.❤ The only negative about there cars is they r lacking some features than it's competitors. Hopefully they'll add those missing features in basalt face-lift..
It's a good-looking No-nonsense feature car, stylish yet not overpriced, I hope it is quick too unlike a slow sonet or a venue loaded with some useless features. however, the door handles of Basalt suck and the missing cruise control is disappointing.
I think their pricing strategy is spot on as per Indian maximum buyer spending on cars which is between 7 and 14 lac .. of anyone notices monthly car sales prices bulk sales pricing wise... They need good mouth publicity and marketing with numbers and they definately will find more buyers in coming years.... Real gem suspension from my personal experience during C3 aircross TD...and C3 hatch in punch prices more space and driving pleasure... Atleast get BNCAP ratings and results will help in more buying numbers...
Good review! Very well studied and explained the tendency of Indian buyers 👍 We’ll not buy the top variant. However, it should be very costly. Citroen will slowly penetrate Indian market.
Top model without sunroof should be a variant on every car model... Sunroof in India is just a gimmick and a way to overprice cars.. But ventilated seats are must in India tbh
Only TRUE review we need from any auto journalist, Thank You sir Keep making such videos in which you explain how a car is positioned in Indian market✌
Im a TATA fan but boy o boy, Oh I'm just in love with this car. It's everything I want. No nonsense, practical, great engine, seems robust and reliable. Only thing is I would want Citroen to do is put it through crash testing and publish the results.
Engine is sub par with a turbo that will start causing trouble like all turbo. A good engine doesn't need a turbo to shine. I wish it had a refined 4cylinder engine, turbo optional. - If they could introduce hybrid for 10lakh, that would be a game changer.
Some reviewers are saying that this Citroen product is confusing, well there is nothing confusing about it. It is not like when you switch on the left indicator, the right indicator blinks, or when you press the hornpad, instead of the horn, ignition starts! Citroen may have a different type of recognition outside India, but in India, they are trying to make quality products at affordable price. This is specifically catered for salaried middle/upper-middle class, not HNIs. This car drives well and has all essential features that can satisfy our need, but not greed. They must focus on their aftersales service as well. We need to judge car segments by their price, not by what they look. If its range is ₹8-12 lakhs, then it will compete aganist compact sub4m SUVs like Brezza. More car makers are welcomed in India when Ford, Chevrolet and Fiat are leaving.
Great video….a real auto journalist wherein u appreciate reliability over creature comfort features which r hardly used. All this is because of korean manufacturers and MG offering non sense features with poorest of poor engines and they start dying as soon as 30K KMs…have experienced it firsthand in venue where now it requires 25-30K service cost after every 6-9 months …. india as a market is really going in wrong direction where most customers only prefer features over engine/chasis/safety/reliability.

The only problem is..., there's no outlet around me...,the nearest showroom is 350km away in kolkata 😂
Same problem, have to drive 2 days for simple service, no thank you.
Nice review gagan bhai 😮
This is a good review despite soft criticism which is reasonable. The top-end model should be under 12-13 lakhs. Mileage is a little lower but tbh petrol cars with Indian traffic is not a good combination. Yet this engine is promising for drive leisure so no complaints. Citroèn is trying to reach a segment where people are conscious about value of owning the car ( Buy + after sales service). Certainly it should not become a burden on pocket due to its mileage & cost of service which will defeat the purpose.
Overall it's a very good package with lovely design❤. It should sell good numbers.
Gagan has beautifully explained the psyche of the present car buyer. 👍🏼👍🏼
Itl be interesting to see a variant that will be priced around the fronx delta plus variant.
8 lakh mai bohot accha car hai (cruise control de deta basss) 😅
Naginhai achi 10 lack ko padegi on road or iska engine 89 bhp hai i 10 se bhi thaka hua engine hai
@@VipinBhandari-ho7kv i10 Grand is only 82 hp... Agreed it's a 4 cylinder that's why it seems powerful.
on road 10 lakh ki hai
Brother 1 wireless attachment aata hai market me compatible to every car to have cruise control 10k andar
There engine, design, handling and ride quality is genuinely good in it's segment.❤
The only negative about there cars is they r lacking some features than it's competitors. Hopefully they'll add those missing features in basalt face-lift..
Proud owner of C3 . Citroen nailed the Pricing and styling.
Genuinely 🫡...... genuine review ...Gagan bhai !!!!
Very well studied and explained the tendency of Indian buyers 👍
We’ll not buy the top variant. However, it should be very costly.
Citroen will slowly penetrate Indian market.
Top model without sunroof should be a variant on every car model...
Sunroof in India is just a gimmick and a way to overprice cars..
But ventilated seats are must in India tbh
In every gagan bhai's video
Tata be like-mjhe qn toda😂😂
Great car , worth the prize 🙏👍
Finally a sensible review 🎉
No sunroof is welcome feature in a hot country like Ours, ye feature cold countries ke liye hai. And it also prevents mishaps like sunroof ejection
Bro would like to hear about maruti Suzuki Ritz which was very underrated .
Only TRUE review we need from any auto journalist, Thank You sir
Keep making such videos in which you explain how a car is positioned in Indian market✌
Will base model have rear ac vents? No review of base model till now 😢
A proper no nonsense car. I doubt on tata electrical components...
I own c5 aircross 2024. Citroen really makes comfortable cars. Best suspension in sagement
As you said please share best tyre to use in 215/r16
This will definitely improve the sales figure of citreon in India
Missing feature ?? Say was expected but have not been provided
How about doing a similar review for new aircross as well? Which one is better basalt or aircross?
It has got everything I need except Cruise Control which for me is essential.
Starting price is most competitive Gagan sa'ab
Suggest an AT tyre for my safari storme which gives Best higway ride+ Bad road road rise + Muscular look
Look at the negligible panel gaps 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best review of Basalt. Love...
Base model
3xo vs basalt - Little confused. Which one to pick.
Basalt
Go with Basalt if you don't need cruise control. Its spacious, looks handsome, reliable engine, huge boot space & excellent ride quality.
Ghuma ghuma k window chadhana rear seats pe 2025 me 😂
Gagan sir, I really like your watch❤ Which watch is this if you say😊
Im a TATA fan but boy o boy, Oh I'm just in love with this car. It's everything I want. No nonsense, practical, great engine, seems robust and reliable. Only thing is I would want Citroen to do is put it through crash testing and publish the results.
Engine is sub par with a turbo that will start causing trouble like all turbo.
A good engine doesn't need a turbo to shine.
I wish it had a refined 4cylinder engine, turbo optional. - If they could introduce hybrid for 10lakh, that would be a game changer.
warp stabiliser warning at 7:10 😂,only premiere pro editors will relate
warp laga ke Bina nest kiye speed Kam krdi hogi jldi jldi mein ... hojata h kbhi kbhi
Sonet k price me seltos k dimensions mil rhe h with decent features aur ky hi chahiye
Aapke videos bro hrkuch killer 🤘🤘🤘 hote hai....
