Dad bought Citroen EC3 , in May 2023. It has done total of 10k km till now. Getting mileage of 280 in ideal condition (Ac off , Highway and constant speed of 60-75 kmph). And getting regular range of 220-240 km (ac on , normal mode , high traffic). Till now the ride quality and comfort is top notch. Only negative thing is that it feels outdated in instrument cluster , door handle , no rear wiper etc. But it does has mobile connect feature. Service on wheel is good too (distance between service center and home is 320 km) . And we have also received the 1L rupee subsidy in UP (many people were saying that subsidy on EV in UP is only valid on Tata and MG). Build quality is not the priority for us , q ki city road pr hi chalna hai.

I understand the topic the overall pitch of the video, I have been watching you videos for a long time and love the content.
But I have a point of view on this -
Cars are built for a purpose and made appeal or Target to a certain or in some cases wider audience. I have experience in the industry.
When a car is pitched it has to cater to a segment, a budget and check all the necessary terms. There might be compromises that are made in other aspects
Eg - you said kiger - it is built for an urban cruiser that is jacked up good looking can accommodate a family. Hence it is safe (4 star) has features that are usable and made to a budget where very less sub-4 meter car starts from. That's the USP and the target audience for the product.
Whereas Citroen c3 is a driver focused car that is built to give you driving pleasure, but that comes at a cost of features.
It is not possible to build a perfect car that fits in eveeones budget, you have to prioritise what the car is built for and whom it is built for.
Thanks for reading this long comment. 😊

6:10 1 ltr engine is not the problem. I'd say the problem is tuning for people wanting more from it. Kiger turbo power to wt and torque to wt ratio is higher than breeza (1.5l engine). And VW is also giving 1ltr turbo engines that too in their C segment SUV. Even the Kiger/Magnite 1.0NA engine are sufficient for city usage. Considering kiger suspension it is best in the segment. The comfort and space it offer is unrivaled. For someone upgrading from ALTO 800 or Hyundai Eon, KIGER 1.0 NA is enough (70% city 30% highway use case). The problem is reviewer campare everything with performance provided u don't need performance it is a very good car. And India is Renaults 5th highest sellling country.
We own a KIGER NA and Hyundai 800. For the price of hatchbacks with no space in rear we got Kiger with more than enough space and it's a safe car too. Giving good mileage is another point to note

I think Honda is the only company that really understands our market i believe, atleast looking at present days. Indians need botched up SUVs which looks good inside out and exactly what they did by bringing elevate. Success in our market doesn't come along fastly. I still believe Citroen has future in our Market considering the commitments they are making towards our country, Kia got traction because of Hyundai and tech(ofcourse FTA with south korea boosted it) , Toyota due to its legacy of reliability and boost by MS . Tata did same too botched up suv with good looks inside out but more importantly they played really good with word "build quality" which garnered more attention. Mahindra is known for its power and torque but they got extra pieces of cakes due to again good looks inside out . So for Renault to get market they should tie-up with nissan and bring suv that has macho looks and good interiors and ofcourse slogan called " best service affordability" if they give some benifit of clarity that Renault and nissan can give better service and spare at low cost then booom .

They are slow but they bring some hits with what they have in their stable. Companies doesn't have to bring loads of cars it's just that bring best one even if it's 1 cars of sedan / suv in each 10-20-30L segments , that's enough i believe. 7:50 min, I checked fender lines for my Magnite (Kiger's me too product) and surprised to see it is missing ! It shows cost cutting is done at some places. Also performance of 1L NA engine at 1st and 2nd gear is not smooth. Again reverse gear lacks power and struggles even on little slope. For city and light use its okay. My Magnite co-driver seat belt needed replacement at 2 years and Nissan refused replacement.

I have a citroen c3 and it realy drives like a flying carpet and interior feels more lively then hundai i20. It has a lot of space even more then brezza. Only feature missing is electronicaly adjustable side mirrors. Gives fuel efficiency of 20kmpl if driven at 70- 80 kmph. Turning radius is very less and has more manuverabilty. Hundai and kia also make good cars but most of the features they are giving are not needed.

Why single out French cars, American cars also failed because they focussed on power and nothing else. Only German(at high end), Japanese(mileage) and South Korean( price advantage due to FTA) cars survived.
In fact you should do a video on how kia has a huge advantage due to FTA with South Korea.

I think you have done the perfect Assessment of French cars, Sometimes I feel that their market analysis has gone totally wrong, because Indian customers have become more sensible and technically much aware, I strongly feel the French Manufacturers should bring some good quality products and concentrate more on localizing their production. The Peugeot, Renault and Nissan have world-class products that can revolutionize the Indian market.

If Citroen C5 aircross made in India , it will cost 27L ex showroom , approximately 31-32 Lakh on road in UP. Many diesel heads would have considered this car over Jeep compass , Hyundai Tucson and even XUV700 and Tata Safari if they were not DKL fans 🥲

Not just french i would say all brands except the Korean and Japenese ones. Fiat, Ford, Datsun, Cheverlot, GM, Volkswagon, etc are suffering or exited the Indian Market. Only Mercedes and Audi were able to sustain as Non Japanese/korean/Indian brands to sustain as the customer base wants European workmanship over cost.
Indian auto market is like aviation. Only few are sustaining and hundreds have tried their luck.

Very well said.. Renault and Fiat have some fantastic and solid build vehicles but this thinking "Specially made for India" is failing them! Same with Kia Motors too. All these guys use High Tensil Steel for their countries and compromise to cut cost for Indian market as if our lives are cheap!! When they do this, people boot them out! Recently I reviewed Triber.. so functional, practical but under powered and that is the issue! Hope these companies make effort to hear the feedbacks coming via multiple channels and improve which is what TATA did.

Renault's 3 cars that they have at present are not bad......kwid is a small car so doesn't need the turbo option and kiger has it.....and I don't think the kiger turbo is under powered and it got most of the required features and looks also good......and even 4 star rated......triber is only lacking a good engine option otherwise its a fine car......i think lots of maruti sales also include comercial cars as they are cheap to maintain and good mileage...... Citroen cars in India are very bad i would admit but Renault cars are very well balanced products just requires a little bit tweeking here and there
