This is confusing; if there is an open tube, yes this would seem preferable. But if the cylinders are sealed, then air inside should make the movement difficult, and any slippage suggests air leakage, thus a poor seal. Which is it?

+z1522 Yes obviously not sealed. I have installed hundreds of these and they are far superior seals. Although the one that doesn't move freely can be recreated by not getting bushings seated properly also.

@@samanthamails9045 i have a bad stiction problem in my forks. on small bumps the forks don't feel like they move at all. it feels like they're made of solid wood instead of proper suspension. do you have recommendation on how to properly seat the bushings? I'm wondering if that is my problem.

Is that a new stock wiper seal tho or did you install new versions of both? Im just curious, but everyone raves about the difference with SKF seals. Im looking for my mtb though but of course its the same idea.

It is SKF wiper and oil seal. However this video is old and the SKF seals for motorcycles look different now.
