dude!!! it was a good thing you were wearing your carpenter pants cause you nailed it!!!!! it's always so nerve wracking thinking if theres gona be salmon after prepping for the trip, sitting in your truck for 5-6 hours driving up and tying yourself to a tree so you won't drown, can't wait for eric "simple living alaska" to get over there and send us a vid.thanks buddy!!!!appreciate you
Another great video. Going up and down those banks looks easy as a viewer but I’ll bet it’s quite an effort! Looking forward to receiving a free sample of your canning.😂😂
Heads up June 24 20:01am was the end of retention of king salmon in the copper river and all tributaries. So u must have went before this vid hopefully. Love the vids this emergency order came out last Thursday
Thank you. I always check with Fish and Game, just before I go, to make sure there are not any new EO’s in effect. That is a great point that I should have included. 👍🏽
I think I mentioned in the video that I was proxying someone. That said, as I mentioned in another of your comments, they closed King salmon the Monday after I returned from my trip this year. That said, with proxy a person can retain one additional king for their proxy. That said, if a person is dipping above the bridge, they can retain five king salmon. Thank you for watching.
@@RaisedinAlaska agreed you mentioned it. I know you follow all rules and regulations my comment was for others if they didn’t know about the closure to kings. Thats why I never attacked you lol. Im sure you clipped the tails your spot on with your vids. Great content I enjoy watching your vids. Keep doing what your doing thanks
@damienbell3155 Thanks. It was a fun trip and I’m already looking forward to next year. I’ll work to be more explicit with details and it will make content that much better. 👍🏽
I will not let the Copper River intimidate me. I plan on heading down again with my brother. I am glade you got some fish. Love the set up with jarring your catch. I got me a double burner stove this morning. Will update you on how it went.
@@RaisedinAlaska the numbers don’t look great as of late. I got me a Kalisof Permit also and this past weekend I got 20. It was Okay not bad. Fish were everywhere and it was fun. Keeping a close watch on the fish counts and water levels. The river is up almost 3 feet since I was there last. Going to pass on this weekend and stay over here (Anchorage)
@@RaisedinAlaska I decided to go back down to Kasilof to try and get the rest of my fish. 2 hrs and got 7 not bad. Super cold out. Getting a hot meal then back to work.
Copper River salmon has been my favorite food to eat for years. Fishing wasn't my forte when we lived in Alaska; however, we never dip-netted the Copper River. I would love to try it if I ever went back, but I can see all of the gear it takes to be comfortable. Thank you for the video I thoroughly enjoyed it.
bsolutely amazing! Catching 50 salmon in one weekend is an incredible achievement. Your dedication and fishing skills are truly admirable. Keep up the fantastic work, and I'm sure those salmon tasted delicious! And I'm am floating village life.
Ray, your river access is a NAIL BITER!! So happy for your terrific catches!!
Thank you. This trip is one of my annual favorites because it is so raw.

@@CyWebbII If all goes well, I’m planning a trip that way in the next couple weeks. I love the float from the lake to the bridge.
@CyWebbII I’m hoping to get down there soon.

Thank you so much. It is one of the more rigorous events that I do.
@@RaisedinAlaska Very worth while IMO. :)
Really enjoyed this video, start to finish.

I just subscribed to your channel.👍🏽
@@RaisedinAlaska thank kiu very much!
Copper River dipnetting always looks like quite the adventure. Would love to give it a try someday.
It is a fantastic, a very rigorous adventure. Each year, as soon as I’m done, I start looking forward to the following year. It is really a hoot.
I would love to the chance to experience that someday.. bucket list for me 🤟🤟👍
It is an amazing adventure, I start planning the following year’s trip on the way home. Super fun,and productive if you hit right.
That looks like a young man’s sport climbing up and down like that but rewarding I’m sure Mooresville NC
I totally agree, dipping on the Copper is for young stallions. It took me three days to heal up from this trip. 😂
You would have caught fish at every spot if the were running. The back eddy makes your net fly correctly.
Yeah, the back eddie makes it a lot easier to fish.
super fun video, nice work!
Thank you very much, you had some of this salmon.😁
looked like a great time
Thank you, is was a hoot. i’m already looking forward to next year.
Wow! That’s a ton of fish.
Thank you it was a fabulous outing.
Certain holes are better for kings.
I was in a pretty good spot then. ☺️
Look at that color!
He was a beautiful fish, thank you.
Own good for cat 🐈 food 😊
Sockeye, for most people, are considered the best table fair of the salmon species. Yum 😋
That's great you got so many fish! Congratulations
Thank you Bill, it was a banner trip.
Make sure your cutting your tails fish and game do go down there
Good call.👍🏽
Get a back eddie better luck
You are 100% correct. 👍🏽
