      Always jobs available in Alaska! If you want to move up there start with a job searchin the areas you can afford the rent….

    Great video, Ray! Can’t beat the scenery!
    Quick cleanup on the 🦀..I had no idea that they didn’t have meat in the center.
    Crab rolls look amazing 😋🤩

      It was a great time that yielded some good food. There was a little bit of meat in the shells at the base of the legs, but the majority of the meat is in the legs.

    I'm genuinely curious if you intentionally picked the music for while you were driving in the car to match the speed of the wipers to the beat of the song?? 😄

      I did not, but now I’m going to go back and watch to see how closely they match. 🤣

    Love king crab legs…a lot of work for so little meat though.

      It is a labor intensive dining experience, but it was fun enough that we are making plans for a return trip.😁

      You get a job in anchorage, Juneau, Wrangell, or Ketchikan and do things like this with friends on weekend to keep freezer full….

    Who was the charter?

    • @RaisedinAlaska
      @RaisedinAlaska  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I went out with a buddy. It was hilarious: we showed up in town Friday night and he says, “I got a crab pot out in the bay, let’s go check it”. Great weekend.

      @@RaisedinAlaska Always the best time. I did a Charter out in Seattle and cooked up the dungeness crabs dockside. The best ever Dungeness crabs I ever had. So Alaska's on my hit list.

    I'm fairly certain that dungeness was a female.
    Edit: after slowing it down its definitely a female. Still a cool video. Just don't want people keeping the wrong sex of crab.

    • @RaisedinAlaska
      @RaisedinAlaska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. We threw all the Dungeness crabs back, they are not legal to keep in this area, but thanks for the correction. Now I’ll have to go back and rewatch the video myself.👍🏽

      @@RaisedinAlaska right before he turns to throw it back you can see the wide apron. You guys are so lucky to live up there. Is it a year round closure on dungeness?

    Kinda disrespectful to the animal the way it’s tossed into the hard cooler. Deadliest catch shows bit more care and respect.
