Interesting, my ‘old’ perf trigger is 70215 (where I had issues). All other new ones are 74331 and they work. Pays off to keep all boxes and packages 😂 thanks for that update
Johnny glocks has a great video explaining how the performance trigger works. There are a lot of similarities with the Timney. Johnny glocks trigger shoe upgrade for the performance trigger is awesome!
I bought the Glock Performance trigger soon after it came out to put in my Glock 34. I didn't like the trigger shoe because of the freeze problem, so I replaced it with a Vicker's Tactical Carry Trigger and I've had no problem in the 5,000 or so rounds I've run through the pistol since. I have the version 2 performance trigger in my Glock 17 and I prefer the original performance trigger with the Vicker' shoe. YMMV.
Not so much for me. I have 7 Glocks and run all Timnely Alpha Comp. triggers. In fact I won't shot a stock Glock, not going to put myself through that. To each their own but Glock triggers are sad at best IMO.
The ram tactical in the p 365 is the TRUTH. Ram actually changes geometry and sear engagement. Take up and break are night and day different. I've got timneys in all my Glocks but I've swapped springs and connectors to obtain the desired effect. The gpt looks like basically the same design I imagine they could be tailored to user preference in a similar fashion.
I went with all Timnely Alpha Comp. Triggers. Use the heavier spring and they run great. Get's them closer to a modern day pistol. As far as a stock Glock trigger I never understood why anyone would put themselves through that when we have much better triggers.
@ the Timney and the GPT hold the striker further back so the trigger pull is lighter and less mushy. So it catches the striker and not the actual cruciform. All the cruciform does is lower the part holding striker and drops it unlike the normal trigger that pulls it back then drops it

Can you even make a Glock trigger "good"? That mushy take-up is just the nature of the beast of how the striker system works. The only way to get rid of that is to have the trigger fully cock the striker, which sort of deletes one of the "safeties" of the safe-action trigger which is the striker not being fully cocked until its about to be released. Unless you get rid of that they'll always be a bit mushy until you hit the "wall". I feel like the most you could really do is change the trigger shoe to your preference and just polish the absolute dog shit out of all the trigger contact points, and then use a 3.5# connector.
Aren't you referring to the creep after the wall? Take-up resistance can be reduced to barely anything with a softer safety plunger spring, and smoother firing pin safety
@ Haha! The ability to adjust the overtravel out of the GPT is good but the shoe itself is shit. The rounded shape makes it too easy to not fully engage the trigger safety causing it to hang up. Many have complained about and I experienced it personally. I switched to a Gun Co SS shoe and it’s phenomenal.
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) requires that the trigger pull weight for law enforcement service pistols be between 4.5 and 8.0 pounds. The dot connector made the trigger too light for LE use.
The German police has a similar requirement for their pistols; including a minimum trigger travel time, which might explain why the Performance Trigger sits further forward.
The NIJ does not have the authority to govern what police agencies do with their service weapons. It’s up to the policy and procedure of each individual department
