I live in Thailand, married to a Thai lady for 10 years .
She is about 53 kg never varies , and lots never get fat. Now having said that 20 years ago I never saw a Thai lady carrying any weight .
But now in Thailand there McDonalds KFC and the likes
And there are fat ladies and men now , but not like say Australia
I go to the mall and see beautiful women with great figures and they look maybe 30 and their 50 years old

There’s millions of good women available in Thailand
But I have friends who have lost everything, they moved in with girls that they didn’t really get to know and paid the price
Real Thai women are conservative, these are the ones you should look for if you want a long term relationship or marriage

I could be wrong but here's my take. There are 3 types, (A) Girls from big cities (not from rural areas) are likely to be just as snobish/materialistic as Western girls, (B) Bar/Massage parlor girls that aren't wife material, (C) Girls with regular day jobs, the only ones that are potentially wife material.

I married a Thai lady last year and she's awesome, but also very secretive about her past. Supposedly some Euro was sending her money, but not only did she not boom boom with him but they never even met. I told her you can tell me anything. I've been to Ukraine and was stationed in the Philippines. It's not my first rodeo. Also still friends with the first Thai lady I met and she makes $250k baht/month. Has her own clothing line. What I learned 25 years ago. Expect your Thai girl to be a minimum of emotionally 10 years younger than her chronological age. There will be times where you feel you are more babysitting than dating.

Agree. In a lot of asian countries parents expect their children to take care of them when old and that is a huge barrier that western guys do not know. Their families can be against you right off the bat because they fear you are going to take them away and they will not get any support. So usually to stand a chance with more traditional women, you basically just adopted their whole family financially. So like them payments you need to send all the time back to her home.
And although it is true there are a lot of asian girls (not just Thai) that like western guys, a lot of guys do think they are just going to flock to you with no game. And cities like Bangkok? Some girls are not innocent little princesses like some western guys think they are in their heads. They can live quite wild lifestyles that would be even quite wild and outside the norm in the west. Far from them being knocked over by you for existing, you can be taken advantage of and played.

The reason why we don't have to look after our families the same way they do is because they don't get government payments every 2 weeks if your jobless And the seniors don't get retirement packages, superannuation or pension. They don't rely on government, hence the strong family unity.

@@mikkiveee But please don’t forget. In Western culture we do not get these benefits for free. We pay into it all our work years and therefore it is not free as you seem to imply. The problem in Asia is they are not willing to support such a system, like they do everything as well to avoid to pay taxes. It is all a corrupt system and to get out of it now is almost impossible. It took generations in the West to get were we are today. Is it perfect? Not at all but at least it works to a big degree. Unfortunately the family support system is not working that well anymore either. First of all, because if you live in a city, your Accomodation most likely is not supporting the space to host several generations under one roof. But as a foreigner in a relationship with a local, be aware that you may become part of the support system. Or check ahead that the parents are in a self supporting environment .

This video was about dating but we went straight to getting married and having babies. The discussion is all about guys in their 30’s the dynamic changes as you get older. I doubt Pattaya is a great place to find a girlfriend based upon the other videos. I am wondering how he is an expert for an entire country based on a handful of personal relationships and his hangout buddies.

There are plenty of girls in Thailand, and my experience is I am a walking wallet, so I pay them for their time and walk away. I find it impossible to tell if what they say is genuine or not.

Watch out for being talked into going back to the village family home.
It will cost you big time if you have a thai girl friend.
That's true a lot of the time, but it really depends on the family. If they're drinkers then it's more likely you'll have to spend a lot more. If you're just buying food from the market then no big deal and If you can't afford that then you're likely a loser in financial terms.

Thai girls are way too transactional. You say traditional, but I think transactional is the more fitting word. Girls in the Philippines and maybe Vietnam are more traditional. Given the Thai mindset, it's best to just stick with short time and not get too attached.

Filipino here. Nope. Filipinas also have motives. Reason they dont appear ttansactional is because having a foreigner is already like winning the lottery for them. Because other people (filipinos) will be envious of the greencard and possible money. You are just a trophy or status.

Big families in the past were common but most young people only want just 1 or 2 kids now. Life is too expensive to have more. This is backed up by the declining population, which is a problem now for the economy going into the future.
