*The verb "pleasure" is an intransitive verb, which can have an impersonal or personal form.* *Impersonal form* What pleases is the subject of the sentence and can be placed at the beginning or end of the sentence. The person who expresses the preference is the indirect object (or complement of term), introduced by the preposition A "to" (to me, to you, to Mario etc.). I love Italy and watching your videos has made me seriously itching to go back one day and they’ve inspired me to start teaching myself Italian - even though I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed, watching your videos and listening to your encouragement and advice is so helpful. I’ve decided to set aside time every day to learn Italian, French, and re-learn Spanish, and learn how to write in traditional Chinese (it is my second tongue). I love your language videos because it isn’t overwhelming, you repeat and are easy to follow, and I LOVE the text- it’s so helpful! I love this, I have been studying Italian for a while and find your videos practical and very helpful. I understand most everything I read or hear but putting my thoughts into words is more challenging. I automatically go to Spanish sometimes but I'm trying to overcome that lol. I really hope that you keep making fluency videos and I really appreciate it!!!

This was really helpful. I've been practicing daily for almost 600 days with an app. I feel like I have a lot of the basics down but need to start looking for other sources to really start to pull thing together. These kinds of videos are helpful for that.

Hi Kylie, we lived in Sicily for 3 years in my 50’s. My recall is terrible so I could only manage the most rudimentary of phrases. Decided during Covid I would try to keep learning, at least to keep my brain agile (in my 60’s now), so I found myself smiling at your reference to your parents on this. OMG Kylie thank you so much for that video, really I definitely need more videos like that to understand some structures of the Italian language. I am russian, have been studying and speaking English for many years. When I started to study Italian ( Spanish as well ) some structures were really hard for understanding. I was once in love with an Italian. Me a German woman, he from Lucca. I spoke Spanish with him in the beginning. Because he couldnt´t speak English. I know very well how it is to go around with a dictionary. But like you said, he would have never corrected me. When I had to say something fast; I took a Spanish word and made it sound Italian. I was so in love that I was not aware about it. It was not a good start to learn Italian. To mix Italian and Spanish made it worse. Because they are different languages even thou they have same roots and similar words. But also the mentality is different, I had learned Latin at school which helped me at least with the basics. After we broke up I took Italian lessons. Only then I understood our problems in conversations. Now after 15 yerars I find your sweet videos here. I can see the beauty of Tuscany live and atmosphere again. And I feel in your work that lightens of being., that had touched my soul..The joy in small things. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure and your heart.

Hi Kylie, we lived in Sicily for 3 years in my 50’s. My recall is terrible so I could only manage the most rudimentary of phrases.
Decided during Covid I would try to keep learning, at least to keep my brain agile (in my 60’s now), so I found myself smiling at your reference to your parents on this. I’m enjoying your videos and love your creativity.

OMG Kylie thank you so much for that video, really I definitely need more videos like that to understand some structures of the Italian language. I am russian, have been studying and speaking English for many years. When I started to study Italian ( Spanish as well ) some structures were really hard for understanding. Thank you for this video. I understand quite a bit of Italian when I listen but I need to get back to Italy and start speaking it again. I am much further along with Spanish and French. I can not find the links that you referenced posting during the video for some reason. Finding your videos has been a bright spot during this shut down.
Thank you Kylie! I have gone through the whole video writing down and repeating all the phrases with you. It was so helpful! I am also learning Italian by my own and you made it easier to understand what sometimes can be very complicated just reading from grammar books.
I would like to suggest/ask if you could make a video recommending movies in Italian which helped you to learn and practice your language skills. I have been watching your videos and I noticed sometimes you add movies scenes (which are so fun by the way), and I often wonder which movies would they be from.
That would be so nice to have a list of your favorites ones to help learnings.

I was once in love with an Italian. Me a German woman, he from Lucca. I spoke Spanish with him in the beginning. Because he couldnt´t speak English. I know very well how it is to go around with a dictionary. But like you said, he would have never corrected me. When I had to say something fast; I took a Spanish word and made it sound Italian. I was so in love that I was not aware about it. It was not a good start to learn Italian. To mix Italian and Spanish made it worse. Because they are different languages even thou they have same roots and similar words. But also the mentality is different, I had learned Latin at school which helped me at least with the basics. After we broke up I took Italian lessons. Only then I understood our problems in conversations. Now after 15 yerars I find your sweet videos here. I can see the beauty of Tuscany live and atmosphere again. And I feel in your work that lightens of being., that had touched my soul..The joy in small things. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure and your heart.
Hi Kylie! So I moved to Italy Nov. 2019. I am working and living in Modena Italy at the moment. I was picking up Italian sort of reasonably before the lockdown but not anymore. I REALLY REALLY need to learn Italy.. Like Badly. It is affecting my social and professional life! Not being able to speak it. This is the first video I have seen of yours and I am beyond impressed! It is so much better than all the other things I have tried to learn this language.
