    Personally, I prefer the "pop-up" style of net. No assembly required. A small size say, 5x3 works great is super quick set up and take down. Btw...your channel is great Sir. Keep it up and best of luck in the coming season.

    Man, always coming out with a video just as I am looking for a specific disc golf item I am looking to buy.

    I’ve been seriously considering getting a net for practice. Great timing on the video.

    Funny, I just got a net and tripod for Christmas. Your timing is impeccable. Cool to be on the same wavelength.
    Regarding your off hand, I focused on kind of punching my off hand down and pinned to my hip through my swing and it definitely helped me add torque* and distance on my drives 👍

    I'm another one who asked for (and got!) a net for Christmas! Thanks so much for the vid and your consistent form monitoring. It really helps! HNY, Anthony!

    When I do field work, I throw the discs back from where they land to the starting point, almost as basket target practice. So each round has two throws one throw out and one throw back switch it to four hand on the back throw

    I just ordered the 7x7 net only through your link. I have a 7x7 golf net that I've been using, but it doesn't have the catch target area which I wanted, but Visionary wasn't shipping yet then. Now I can just reuse the frame (it's the same style as the Visionary one) and have the net I wanted. Anyway, thanks for the reminder on these and the link!

    Perfect timing for this video. I want to get a net in the next few months.

    I bought 7x7 Visionary Disc Golf Net because of this video! I'm on the same quest as you. Quest to play a Pro Tour event and get on the DGPT.

    Add to this a radar gun! They absolutely help determine if what you are working on adds to speed(equals distance ). Many models to choose from would make another great comparison video

    I bought the net via your link. I'm almost two years in and have hit the 400 mark but Im all arm, no hip rotation, need further reach back. Field work is a must to dial things in, but to your point it sucks having to shag a bunch of discs. I use an AT electric skateboard to speed things up but the net gives you way more reps. I bought the 7*7 baaed on your recommendation, but they have a 10*7 which I think might be better to target locations better. Oh well, your videos are quality, keep it up

    Last comment of the year?
    I definitely need to get a net because my left knee is messed up and after an hour of field work I'm limping.
    Your form is getting good there at the end, watch the newest video that slingshot disc golf put out it's what I will be practicing when I go to the field again basically the off arm and leg/hip needs to be moving while you're still reaching back to make a strong coil.
    Happy 2023 new years 🎆🎇

    A suggestion for the off hand that has helped me on timing and consistency. Pretend your pulling a lawn mower up while reaching back/extending helping to coil. Then feel that resistance of the lawn mower pulling your hand back down, this will cause your off hand come in.

    Your off arm is the key to extra distance

    Hey Anthony, any plans to get a tech disc? Then you'd know via simulation what your shots into the net actually would look like out in the field/on the course. Appreciate all your content. 👍

    I know this is an old video but at 6’2 using my tech disc on a 7x7 net every single throw is a negative launch angle to throw into the whole in the net. Anyone have a 10x10 and know if the center is taller?

    • @debbieflanagan7506
      @debbieflanagan7506 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I needed this comment! I want to get a tech disc and net for himself for Christmas and I also wondered if the smaller visionary net (or similar sized 7x7s) would give him any hassle.
      Have you tried any other nets that you'd recommend based on your height?

    Do you think the visionary net, or some other, could be mounted in an open garage door and bypass needing the frame?

    • @BodanzaDiscGolf
      @BodanzaDiscGolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah if you can add eye hooks or rope, even some eyelets and caribiners maybe. The visionary has a nice elastic on the bottom that has a hook on it which is helpful, but as long as you can get it to size that would for sure work!

    Thanks Anthony, great review! I got a "tent design portable golf net" from Rukket. I like it because it is stable. They also have a 5 gallon bucket holder that works great for holding discs when practicing putting or driving. These were designed for golf and baseball/softball, but they really should market to the disc golf community too.

    Anthony, this made me think of a video I had seen of a Finnish guy making a practice area in his backyard (I know you don't have one), but shows him using a net and radar gun, which was suggested below. Suggest you check it out just so you can see the radar gun idea to check your disc speed as you progress with your new form. th-cam.com/video/i9looaAhU68/w-d-xo.html
