You can get a Proton Defy that will fly the same way for the average person. If you need more stability then a Phase. If you need something slower that flies similar, then the Motion.
It's kind of crazy to think MVP would make a mold entirely for a limited run. Molds are expensive to make in terms of design, prototyping, and final creation. If I had to bet, the Thrill won't be gone for long, even if this an exclusive early run in the box.
They already had the mold, it's a disc they used to make and stopped. He wanted it to come back so they made a small amount of them. They said they aren't bringing it back.
@@brandongreen9381 That's almost worse. It was a disc that wasn't useful or didn't sell well, probably because the lack of glide and overstability and now is a novelty with a pretty and expensive stamp job.
They may not be bringing it back, but I do believe they had to make a new mold for it. When they moved to making there own disc's, instead of Innova I think thats right, some of the old molds didn't work with the new machines.
Been collecting the Eagle element themed discs, but my local store didn't have any brick and mortar boxes. Wish there was another way to snag one of these!
THANK YOU for not wearing that purple infinite hoodie. 😂 Also, would it be weird to ask to turn down the lav mic volume after you throw while you’re not talking? Your breathing is on some ASMR level. Hahaha
I got the brick and mortar box as a christmas gift, and I throw decently; however, I have to practically throw the thrill on heavy anhyzer to get any meaningful distance out of it. it's a very pretty disc and it's fun to throw, but definitely not something I'd pay 170 bucks for.
the proton photon might give the thrill a run for being the closest comparison with MVP. the numbers dont match at all but the flight patterns might be close
I’m curious…what is the reason some molds from different companies go out of production? Is it just due to a lack of player interest in that mold? I do like how some players try to bring back older molds!
I tried to get the thrill but did not understand the event information on the mvp website in the slightest. I wish they had let us consumers know that every shop only got 6 and some shops didn’t even get any. I pulled a great digital box for my game, but still frustrating and disappointed cuz that eagle thrill stamp is so cool. I already own 2 wraiths and a destroyer I’m not strong enough to throw, but I’ll buy a Bodanza Czar in a heartbeat! Excited to see what your SE stamp disc is this year!
Yeah I hate it. I realize that Gyropalooza and all of these other mystery boxes are becoming ways to beta test or test out OOP/rare discs (just this holiday season: Balance (PROTOTYPE), Thrill, Sweep, the other Lat64 putter, Glacier, I'm sure there are others), and that's a cool little niche. What really pisses in my cheerios is that Gyro boxes I've seen have had lab second molds I want. Eclipse Pixels, R2 Detours and Hexes, cool combos of plastics that I CAN'T FREAKING BUY at my store, not even on Infinite! Bodanza, please throw out a new stamp of a disc I can actually buy backups for. You'll get my money way before any mystery box does. I won't throw a Thrill because of this. I HATE that I still have a Tempo that I got at MVP Open that I can't buy a stock run of. MVP's gotta do better!
yea i agree i’ve already stopped playing disc golf as much due to work so naturally i stopped watching disc golf and now these weird gouging the disc market with exclusive disc and drops doesn’t make me wanna get back into it .. seems like this is a good way to kill the sport again
I received a 162g thrill in one of my boxes and its just way too overstable for me. I throw PDs just fine, but the thrill is in a whole different category of beef, and it can't just be the 1 speed difference.
I love mvp and Eagle...but this release was one of the most feel bad releases. Limiting stores to 6 boxes, after initial announcement made it sound like all B&M boxes would have them - as in support your local store type thing... and then Eagle put his element stamp on it, so anyone wanting to collect all the elements is really at a big disadvantage, if not simply out of luck. There was no reason to limit it, totally should have been in every box bought at a B&M.
Love the late night posts! this is like the best way to end my day
This format was great. It’s like 9 review in 1!

Glad to see you tossing my Schrockdile Fission Photon! Hope you enjoy
That logo looks so clean!
Love the new logo, has some fun retro vibes!
that wraith flight 🤩
I swear you literally post every time I’m about to go to bed and then I have to watch before going to bed lol 😂
Dang, I was really hoping to see the Machete (11/4/0/4 in this comparison to the Thrill

I have 3 old thrills. Best disc ever for forehand.

Love Eagle but I hate this new trend of super exclusive discs that are snatched up and resold for 5-10x the price
Also, guys don't buy these for more than 50 bucks. Anything more is crazy. Thrower, not the disc
This isn’t a new trend. Been a thing for years with discmania
@@BigJuice77 how many years? What discs and we're talking resold for 5-10 times the price?
Look up a 2015 Sexton firebird. Those things are still crazy prices but we're easily over 100 at the time
@@jblps some cloud breakers, mindbenders, tilts where going for crazy at one point.
Thank you so much for putting meters in 😊
Manufactered scarcity is fun and cool
THANK YOU for not wearing that purple infinite hoodie. 😂

I got a lab 2nd thrill in my box! Excited to try it out
I was thinking it would be the closest MVP has to a PD, but I know how PDs can be more straight flyers. I would love to have a stock run of Thrill...
This is Eagle's new pd
Doesn't MVP lie with the speed compared to other manufacturers anyway (based on the measurements)

Nothing like a disc you cant replace
Defy would have been a good comparison and definitely a better disc for the people
I think the discraft Machete could be pretty similar, not sure if theyre still in production or not
slab seems like the closest comparison for me.
Yeah, weird the Infinite guy didn't include that one.
The photon in the Plasma plastic is definitely more over stable than the fission plastic
I have plenty of beefy Proton Photons that are already too much beef for me 😅
I’m curious…what is the reason some molds from different companies go out of production? Is it just due to a lack of player interest in that mold?
I do like how some players try to bring back older molds!
I got lucky about 8 months ago and found a patent pending thrill at my local play it again. Paid 9.99 for it
The price is crazy on the Thrill! Not selling mine though and also not really coming off of the rack. Slower arm than you and it dumps LOL!!
Should compare it to the MVP Phase or even the less stable MVP Zenith
Love your videos 🙂 How do you make the o.b graphic so smooth? Do you still use premiere pro? 🙂

Definitely looks beefy like the AGL Cedar (11/5/0/3)

Seems like the thrill would just be the fireball to the phase's motion.

Is the Thrill a PD 1,5?
No slab comparison?
I got 2 MVP regular mystery boxes for Christmas and I got 2 Thrills both Lab Second. Insanely hype.
Seems like its very close to a Defy
What about a machete?
11 OCLOCK NEVR A BETER TIME.
I’m a mere mortal and the thrill is too much disc for me. 😂
First!

eagle should leave mvp .. mvp was a good fair company now they taking on eagle practices with disc drops making mvp lose credit in my book
So we have to buy an entire box of junk to get it 😢
Using him to sell more discs that are not his.. while hindering his disc sales.. he got paid upfront
Junk?
