- Most people know about the importance of probiotics, but many don't know the role that prebiotic foods play in supporting a healthy gut biome. There are many foods that are high fiber sources for the gut microbiome and also can be part of a low-carb or keto diet without raising blood sugar or spiking insulin or kicking you out of ketosis.

Absolutely. Food prep is essential to having these prebiotics on hand every day.
garlic- peel, mince, and keep in freezer (ice cube trays, or flat in a ziplock bag to break off pieces)
onion- precut in small amounts kept in small clear jars in the frig. Clear is essential so they will be used. Precut sweet/vidalia onions are awesome dipped in hummus or by themselves.
green onion- small amounts chopped.. also plant the roots in a window/back door pot for easy access to fresh
flax- grind in small amounts, store in a dark handy place to add to just about anything
chicory- I have some.. but haven't used it often.. I need to figure this one out.
Prebiotics I eat often but not mentioned in your video:
cocoa- (unsweetened of course) - keep handy to add to a kefir smoothie.. add to chili and other dishes
seaweeds ...
laver (nori, kim)- toast plain in small amounts and cut into small rectangles, store in airtight container eat as is or for a wrap, or crush as a topping
wakame (miyeok)- add to soups and various other dishes
kombu (dashima)- use to make stock, grind to add to various dishes including rice
This was really helpful to help stay healthy on Keto
