I am planning to do 36 hours /8 hours window for at least a month and i already have some loose skin from previous weight loss attempts will it help me? Or do i need to go longer. 36 hours is good so far, i don't want to increase it because i don't to put too much on my body.

I did this protocol with wet and dry fasting while on mounjaro (which controlled the hunger cravings and insulin resistance. I lost 130 lbs in one year and I am 135 lbs now and barely have any extra skin.

Can anyone help ive got to my perfect weight, but got some lose skin,do i still fast to get Autophagy,to try and get rid of lose skin, and lose even more weight that i cant afford to lose,my wife says im looking to thin.
While sitting in the exam chair my physician said "keto is a fad diet and does not result in weight loss" as I sat there literally 130 lbs lighter. Unfortunately MDs are very hard to make a point or explore a suggestion. Some DOs are more willing but sounds like the same red tape keeps them from working with patients who want to do multi day fasts. Nutritionists that specialize in water fasting seem to be the best bet if there is no physician that supports this in your area. The closest I could find was way too many miles away. Best of luck to everyone.
Of course no scientific studies that are even remotely connected to loose skin. He just spews bullshit. It does not work. At least not for people who lost 100-200 pounds. The only thing that works is a damn operation, stop deceiving people and giving them false hope.

@@AKMCars This lady is already eating soluble fibers, which have carbs, so might as well try 47 grams of prune juice (one cup) once every week or so and see what happens. Depending on their weight and activity level, people can remain in ketosis with up to 50 grams of carbs per day.

Not 2 weeks out from my cardiac stent and I'm trying to get back on my keto routine. I have no live doctor to talk to - they have put me on statins and its all doom and gloom and they go crazy when I say Keto or Fasting. I am starting my cardiac rehab tomorrow. Angina is an issue. Maybe I am not ready for normal life yet, 11 days post surgery. I want to do fasting again to help with my skin. I have only lost 15 lbs in 4 months on keto, but, I have Ehlers-Danlos, so already had lots of loose skin and I'm in my 70's. Glad I found you as a second voice I can use to motivate me. Dr Boz is the first voice. I will start watching your videos tomorrow. Time to sleep.

Thank you. I'm in my early seventies and was for a while quite morbidly obese. Through running and low carb'ing I've dropped over 75lbs, more now, probably. Yup, I've got plenty of the loose skin I'd like to get rid of. Thanks for showing the histology. I learned my histology in the early eighties and didn't learn, or forgot, that fibroblasts are specific to adipose tissue. I recall them being pleuripotential cells much like/as stem cells. But now I see that they are specific for producing collagen (elastin, too?) and skin health, skin being our body's largest organ. Low carb'ing has really helped me to control my eating and controlling my diabetes.
Why not test in both American units
Because the rest of the world uses it also
I am happy with my autophagy lifestyle, a combination of A) TMAD (two meals a day) B) an elimination diet (defeating autoimmune illnesses) C) drinking a lot of unsweetened tea, room temperature (nothing else but water and tea). D) a lot of healthy sleep (if needed:. sleeping mask, sleep hypnosis affirmations) Thank you. Love your work here.

When I was on keto I had the opposite of constipation. I didn’t have a solid one for 5 years after now that I have solid ones… I can’t get them out 😂
I have HCC. My treatment was chemo embolization. This kgi seems complex.

After what I categorize as malpractice, I decided (a couple years later) to intermittent fast for two reasons, one: to tighten loose skin and two: get rid of scar tissue (internally) through autophagy. I've been doing it now for almost a year and have noticed no difference in my skin. Are you saying that autophagy doesn't start until 23 hours of fasting? Because I'm doing 16 hours. If I'm not getting those benefits I'll switch to one day a week of 24 hours (or more).

Does age have anything to do with it?
If you're doing keto/carnivore and fasting with prolonged fasting then no. No amount of age will make it to where you inevitably have lose skin after weight loss.
So the concerns are if you take medication or suffer anorexia. I don’t for either of those but I need to drop 100 lbs. I think I’m done eating for a while. Let the reserve energy take over.

Your advice about talking to your doctor before beginning a diet program sounds pretty boilerplate. Please find me a doctor that knows anything about nutrition. I haven't found one and a doctor is the last person I'm going to talk to about nutrition. Sad but there it is. I'm sure I could get a prescription for a weight loss medication if I wanted one, pharmaceuticals are always available.... Sad!
I been achieving GKI of 2.1-2.6.. with a Glucose of 85-95. So I believe can stay in in a GKI range of 1-3 without leveling your GLU to below 70.
Do not talk to your dr! He/she will advise against it! Never seek medical advice when comes to IF!
I'm 5 weeks in on keto-carnivore & having terrible problems with this! I now realize I can eat twice as many low carb veggies when counting the net carbs. And I'm often thirsty so I need to drink more with electrolytes added, especially magnesium citrate.
Magnesium citrate works good but if you use it a lot your body will come depended on it kind of like laxatives.
You’re on your own when it comes to eating for health. Most doctors give you nutrition 101 speeches. They want to prescribe and send you specialist because it’s all about the Benjamins. The most important thing most doctors can do is prescribe lighter doses of medicine you can take while fasting over 24 hours. Even Jason Fung who I enjoy has been fact checked by people in Biomedicine.
