That is freakin' insane. Great work boys! Noah has now netted the (probably) biggest musky as well as the biggest Tiger musky ever to come out of the madison lakes, all on video!

Congratulations! Amazing how many fish that area produces AND to hold fish of that quality despite the pressure is remarkable! Great stocking efforts and conservation practices by anglers and the clubs!

Nice caught a 50" musky out of waubesa this fall off shore. It's on video on the ancient art of fishings TH-cam channel.
That was you, eh? Cool catch. I was just over on Waubesa yesterday, first time ever fishing and from shore. I went up to the northeast end on the walking path. Looks like a good spot early and late in the year for pike and possibly musky.
Awesome fish. I only know one guy who caught a fify incher so far. He caught it on a plug while casting for walleyes.

Nice fish! My buddy and I had a 5 fish night on Monona in Sept 2006. We each missed a fish due to exhaustion fishing past 3am that night too. Every fish was 42-45" on the board. I have not put a line in the water for muskies in 10yrs but July-August weather conditions this year were pointing to a Kick-Ass Sept on the Madison chain.
You better make it back out soon! These Leech Lake strain fish are getting BIG!
@@MadisonAngling The only photo I have of a leacher was the year after they first stocked them. That was the only time I took a photo of a 18" fish. It was clear they were doing well as it was already larger then when stocked. It is great to know they are still doing well.

It’s really looking like the south end of waubesa... but I might be wrong because I don’t know the south side of monona. Curious as to which Madison chain lake this was because I know of multiple 50+ coming out of mendota this year which was a surprise and I wouldn’t be surprised if one came out of waubesa!
There actually aren't any muskies coming out of mendota as the stocking only takes place on Monona and Wingra. There has however been a lot of 50" class fish coming out of both Monona and Waubesa this year. Very exciting to see these fish really starting to get big 😎
@@MadisonAngling I am always told conflicting stories on that. You'd think there has to be muskies in mendota. I have seen 45-50" fish at the Tenney locks, so how could it be none have made it through?
@@Mike-lt6sj with the amount of fishing pressure mendota gets, there would be incidental muskie catches, however there hasn't been a muskie legitimately documented as being caught out of mendota for decades - basically since tigers were no longer stocked in there. I'm a former water quality biologist for the DNR and in our surveys we only found 1 muskie (compared to monona where we typically surveyed well over 100). Are there fish in Mendota? Absolutely. Is it a targetable population, absolutely not.
