When u start working...as a surgeon, or Anesthesiologist...you will need all this knowledge...ultimately it will become a part of your thought process as you do it again and again...
This is exactly how I memorized muscles. The names always tell you some thing about the muscles. They are named by one of the following: * attachments (Sternocleidomastoid) * action (flexor/extensor) * size (major/minor) * shape (Deltoid/Trapezius) * location (brachii/femoris) *number of heads (Biceps/Triceps) * direction of fibers (oblique/rectus/transversus)
I FEEL THAT. Omg I thought I was slow or something but I just didn't understand how my prof was teaching. I learned more in 13 min videos than 4 hours lectures 😅 so odd
This is the first of any A&P video series that actually delivers on the "how to remember" any lists for the class. I've been studying for my Tuesday final for weeks now, and this is the first time it is clicking. THANK YOU
This teaching method only works if the teacher is master in that. Still I not started our studies of fore arms But I seen this full videos . Interesting thing in this video is :- he not only explaining origin, insertion of muscle. He also explain the name of muscle like why this muscle is known by this name...
I'm not a med student at all but quite interested in anatomy and try to figure out muscles and dynamics of the body but for sure for a person that has no idea it's very very hard. So your video is very teaching and helpful. For people like me, it would be great if we can see the movements and real locations as well. But this is fascinating as well! Thank you!
Only here cause I saw a video about prosthetic arms and I was really curious about the interaction of muscles with each other and how well modern prosthetics are getting at giving someone a functional hand or arm. Imagine just one lifetime ago telling someone that we'd create prosthetic arms that can move each finger individually with precise controlled movements AND that the user could feel the pressure in the prosthetics using pressure sensors in the fingers and vibrations on the users arm. Seriously incredible stuff!
I completely memorized body muscles from your videos. I have requested please also cover vessels and nerves as a whole. Bundle of thanks for your work 😘
I had to take the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam today and passed thanks to the help of your awesome videos!!! It's been over 20 years since I've been in college and last took the exam. Thank you!!!!
Thankyou so so much, im in first year at university studying physiotherapy and ive been looking for a resource that lists all muscles, all the extra information makes everything make more sense, i love all your ways of remembering things because that's exactly how my brain works so this is perfect for me
I found this video super helpful, thank you very much. I already knew a bunch of the muscles, but actually understanding why they're named what they're named now certainly makes more sense. Can't wait to watch your lower limb video. This is going to be great!
Your breakdown of the lats, having lateral fibers and being on the dorsal portion of the body, blew my mind. I legit had to pause the video for a solid minute to rethink my life. This is after obtaining a pft diploma after two years of studying, mind you 😂
I study physiology and dietary subjects for my medical massage therapist and personal trainer program and let me tell you - I have never had this much fun in all my life. Anatomy is the best thing about all of this!
I have no idea how I got here but you're saving my life. I graduated from a massage therapy school in 2019 but didn't liscenced myself. I can practice in California and maybe 3 other states but the rest of the states require the Mblex test for licensure. I want to be a Liscenced Massage Therapist, not just a certified one. You can image that after 5 years and 2 without practice (covid) I've lost some of this knowledge.
I love your videos, these are the only videos that help me quickly review everything with diagrams. If you could make similar videos for neurovasculature. That would her really good. Simple and Easy. Once again thank you so much, You have saved me from failing in med school.
I'm not studying medicine, just a bodybuilder. But I think it's important to know a bit about the muscles' different purposes, the joints, etc, in order to know how to train what and how to avoid injury. When I didn't know anything about this sorta stuff, I easily got injured without having any idea why.
the thenar mass and thenar emenence are different nomenclatures and specifically denoted as such. the adductor pollicis is innervated by the ulnar nerve, whereas the abductor brevis, flexor, and opponens are all innervated by the median nerve.
thank u for making this video this video and your other muslce remorivation videos really helped me study for my lab exam. i have it today. tbh i wish i found your channel sooner. you break down very conplex things into more slimper stuff, i really appreate this channel. my lab exam is today a little after noon so i am going over your videos and basiclly review before the lab. so thank u for making these videos! keep doing what your doing^^
Thank you Sir you’re a blessing to med students🥺 Favorite TH-camr from today and Top on my list, subscribed and thank you so much please keep ‘em med courses coming on how to remember.🥰
Finally! I’ve been studying the upper limb for months now and this is the best so far. Only problem is that you all are too fast, is that a general thing or what? I have to back-play about 5 times to fully comprehend lol. Thank you!
I appreciate u more than u could ever know! I used to *love* ur channels(both) n' would watch ur vids every so often(like the tb history one, bmi...latest ones, right off the top of my head) but today was like rediscovering what a gem of work u do! ...i *live* it!♥️ Just started med schl n' they're throwing stuff at us, EVERY WHICH WAY- regardless of our ability to (figuratively) catch😬🙃. These old vids of urs are a great great help! Thanku so much, Patrick...though u're practically a stranger, u feel like a friend helping me through the ..what i can only call boy-howdy!-mess anat(or practically, med schl) is. Sending all the warm and fuzies ur way(only if u like em...otherwise all the cool breez-ies🙃😅). P.S. how did i forget to write this!! Love love love ur puns! Keep em rolling, u guy😉.
1:27 although latus(noun) in latin may stand for side, the meaning of latissimus(adj) in this case is "biggest". In italian we call this muscle "gran dorsale" (literally big dorsal). P.s. I love this video series, thank you from Italy
Best anatomy lectures ,best series or Playlist . U explain it very well sir . Its very helpful for us 👏 👍🏻. Also please provide pdf of all anatomy series if its possible . lots of love from 🇮🇳
I've got an anatomy exam at Jan 24, this video is really helping me out to remember the theory from the first two semesters of university. Mb I still need to learn the attachment points, but now I'm sure that I can simply remember your video and connect it with my knowledge about bones instead of blind studying almost useless theory that contains like 5-10% of useful information. Thank you
CCP student in human anatomy, this is saving me for unit 3. i thought it would be easier because it’s muscles, but there’s SO many it’s hard to remember them all, especially when looking at the cadaver 😞
This is extremely helpful I have a small request if it all possible it would be nice to know if I’m looking at the front or the back of the shoulder as you describe the muscles because I don’t know my anatomy well enough to know if I’m looking at the front or back - And just a little more time to absorb the information so I can actually see it in 3-D form somehow like maybe show three angles of one muscle. I hope this isn’t too much to ask - you’re just so good at this I would appreciate just a little more detail and feel that that would really solidify things in because you do a fantastic job!!! Thank you so much!!!!
I know you commented this a month ago but if you have a library nearby, they MIGHT have an anatomical skeleton! It makes so much sense if you can actually touch and look at it in motion. If not, the complete anatomy app for ipad is SO helpful, you can look at models with and without muscles in different orientations!
No man can ever make me cry as much as anatomy can.
That’s why I love anantomy
@@kiyoshi6739😂

Yeah now it’s just a matter of recognizing what is being referenced in the name lol
Sartorius has entered the chat
THANKU😍😍
Thank you
My four-hour lecture and I walked away with nothing. 4 of your videos on muscles and know more than I've been studying all week. THANK YOU
I FEEL THAT. Omg I thought I was slow or something but I just didn't understand how my prof was teaching. I learned more in 13 min videos than 4 hours lectures 😅 so odd
It s my first week in med school and i hate it here
Why did you apply.
Wait for one year ,then judge.
I did it before and I found it just like a piece of cake , do it now and thanks me late.
I can strongly relate (3rd month so far)
@@DocABDALLAH48398 that is horrific advice
**laughs in french med school without knowing jackshit of french**

the timing of your videos is always perfect! your videos are getting me through med school at this point 😭
Keep going!!!!
Sameeeeeee
It's 2024, am about to write my Anatomy test in 3hrs, I've never been this nervous 😓 someone should pray for me
How did it go?
Don’t have words to describe how awesome your teaching method is.

I wish i found this yesterday it would’ve saved me a whole day.
Its really helpful . Can you upload about arteries and nervers also. Because the way you explain is impressive
This is actually amazing for art students studying anatomy
