This is why I love Darkest Hour: they are willing to try new things, they modify their sound but they keep their identity.
I personally love it and can't wait for the next album.

I didn't like Eternal Return (My opinon I know I know), but Deliver us for me is their best album.
People just have no imagination. Why the fuck does so many people always want a band that has been around for years to keep writing the same way they did years ago.this album is a fuking master piece just like there others.I dont want here the exact same stuff as previous albums and I am sure as fuck they dont.its called growing.
+MrGtrjas it's hard to accept a band's new style for some people. I really loved deliver us and the eternal return specifically. If Darkest Hour only would to create music like that I would be very happy.
But that's my opinion as a consumer. In reality Darkest Hour has to dig deep to find the creative inspiration to make music. They all progress through their lives and their experiences shape what they want to make their music like. It's funny how metal bands almost always will start hard and then mellow out through the years. I guess all the drugs and money and women make it hard to stay angsty, lol

I can´t tell how much I love them throughout the changes and years. Met them in Prague when So Sedated so Secure was out and I remember them sitting on a sidewalk looking almost like a bunch of homeless guys:) but then they unleashed the biggest rock presence on stage I had witnessed so far. Preordered, together with WovenWar!:)

DH is a band that is unique in their music, they always experiment and to me they are a band that makes music the way they want to. lyrics are insanely awesome too!! i will keep listening to them cuz to me they show you how they perceive music and thats always interesting :D

I hope this helps springboard you guys. You have always been so underrated! It's totally different than anything you've ever done, but it's so damn good! Mike told me at their show in Kansas earlier this week that i'd probably dig the song. He was totally right.
In my opinion, they couldn't keep doing the At The Gates style forever, so the new sound is welcome as far as I'm concerned. I don't exactly favour it over their other material, but it just seems like a natural progression. As for the vocals, I don't think they've ever sounded better. Whereas most vocalists lose their edge, he has evolved to be able to scream, growl, and sing both clean and gritty. It's fucking awesome.
This song and Wasteland, remind me the fall of In Flames with his recent albums, let's hear the whole album. Hoping I'm wrong.

Hi AyZeD , in my personal opinion, the way I see it, Darkest hour need kris norris and so do Kris Noris needs Darkest Hour. I am not insulting your fav band ,coz I like the band also. Just kinda sad that their material don't have the same impact like their old previous stuff anymore. You know, that moment when the first track in Undoing run plays, your head starts to move according to its beat.

Well if you dug it then you might like Locus Factor, it's a band he had where he did vocals and guitar. Pretty decent stuff, very gothenberg vibe at times, but still unique.
I was excited for "A Cancerous Affair" which was Kris Norris, Ryan Parrish and Kristen Randall on keys, but I don't think that project is still going.

This makes me want to buy the album now. Thought it would be just washed up Sumeriancore/Sumerian's poor attempts at converting a thrash/melodic to making their style of music.
What boggles my mind is that all these kids eat up that washed up bullshit lol. I was a teen before too but i did i would get bored when a band just started to always do the same thing.
Same with me. The band I am in has a plan to make 4 songs that are really heavy, 4 that are experimental (toying with instruments/aspects not commonly used in this genre), and then 4 songs that are more radio-friendly heavy metal songs with shredding solos and melodic duels for our album and set that as a template for albums to come.
