Jesus people I typed it on a phone on a CIG break at work. I KNOW plenty about the English language assholes. Fucking keyboard warrior grammar Nazi's all over the internet.
"Time waits in spirals and in circuits and / we stay in peril and imperfect and / why wait for the silence to be heard / when you are the reason why I'm in love with the world" \m/ ! Favourite DH album ever
Forever looking back Forever tormented So clever in disguise And never was she fully realized Take everything you have Take everything you thought you ever knew And leave it for the goddess figure True I've been wrong And I've been taught a lie And can never look back To the throes of a normal life I'm in love with the world Time waits in spirals and in circuits and We stay in peril and imperfect and Why wait for the silence to be heard when you are The reason why I'm in love with the world And when you follow in his shadow You're devoured by your loss Some pay forever with their winnings Some stay in debt forever False I've been true And it's a lonely line of work that we do Unto thee given nо reply nо affection so I've bееn brought up believing a lie Her vision clearly burns in my eyes Sun stay surrealist and infinitе Give all the true power limitless Now I'm alone with a poisoned mind It's enough to know
Holy shit. This is a great song, so far, the album is, to me, one of their heaviest albums by far, with that nice little break in with a melodic sound of his voice. Just, just fucking phenomenal man. One of the many reasons this band is in my top five.
adrian varela Its a great album for sure, but not their heaviest, listen to The Eternal Return! I love the Mix of clean and screams this album has though.
I haven't listened to Darkest Hour in over 2 years, but now hearing this? Holy shit I just found the reason to love this band again! Amazing Album thumps fucking up!
I remember back in 2014 when this record came out, I was on a plane to Melbourne and being extremely excited to visit Melbourne for the first time and listing to this song in particular..... Happy memories. 🤘
the singing is nice, when i was a lot younger i would have been like ugh that's gay blah blah cause i was a immature shit head, but ive matured and enjoy a mix of clean vocals and dirty on metal songs now actually i almost prefer it now a days.
Been hangin' with these dudes for years now, and I have to admit: it's not the DH I love to listen to the most (it'll take some getting used to maybe) However, I do think it's the right album at the right time for them. The wider audience appeal of this record might get them the exposure I think they've been deserving for years.
I feel yah bro. And I totally agree. I love most everything from The Eternal Return back to Sadist nation stuff before it for the sheer melodic death intensity. (which bands like In flames and Arch Enemy are disgracing for the past decade). Unfortunately they're not popular in the melodeth circles despite owning at songwriting because of the metalcore conotation. So fuck that. What if they get in touch with the feminine side, they're doing it well. I didn't know the fucker can sing besides those melodic screams so fine. It surprisingly sounds good unlike the modern american/english bands. And like you said, they finally getting some attention. The facebook fanbase picked up like crazy, since this album.
RyanSlays definitely not... DH was around first, also both band are inspired by “At the Gates” They were the first to start this riff style pattern in 94 (on their album “Terminal Spirit Disease”),that a lot of early “metalcore” and deathmetal bands ran with.. and for good reason cause it’s amazing.. check out “at the gates”
All bands have that phase where their record label says oh shit let's try clean vocals. i'm glad they branched out and went back to true form on their next album.
I'm getting mixed feelings towards this album, this song however, is fucking amazing. Quite mainstream metalcore, but very well done, and after all DH is one of the defining bands of the genre.
XQriousX This song would be ambigious and does sound melodic death-ish without the clean vocals. Actually just chorus has a distinct metalcore vibe. I'm pretty sure Blo0dredRidingHo0d was talking about this particular style of vocals. tone and style of singing/scream alternation here is more associated with metalcore. (see AILD, old ATR). Dark Tranquility's front man has a very low, gothic like approach when he sings. That said, Misery we make and Rapture in exile are pure metalcore songs even if the cannipal corpse vocalist comes and vomits all over it. Darkest Hour are just beautiful. They match the best of gotherburg Melodeath and metalcore . Very few bands blend this as good as them. This album is more of metalcore than anything they dud, albeit still impressive.
I'm not trying to be negative but this is the worst album from them I've listened to them for 12 or 14 years now couldn't tell you really how long but I was under the impression this album was going to be more metal then punk/ screamo I really hope there not trying to pull a avenged seven fold or wovenwar
i avoided this album for 2 years because everyone said it sucked, today i have proven that to be incorrect. this shit is spectacular
Dont listen to everyone. Listen to you.
I have followed DH from the beginning and I would have to say this is their best album. Phenomenal comeback.
DH can never disappoint, their new album is great, the band is always on my playlist.
I have to completely disagree with you...as ll cool j once said...”don’t call it a comeback I’ve been here for years.”
This is THE album of darkest hour.
Are you insane!?
You clearly no nothing about DH
michael cassibry Know*, and he was probably just really impressed, chill out.
they had to do something else. And it is good. I know very well DH,and i still say the same dude ;-)
michael cassibry You clearly "no" nothing about the English language.
Jesus people I typed it on a phone on a CIG break at work. I KNOW plenty about the English language assholes. Fucking keyboard warrior grammar Nazi's all over the internet.
ive loved DH for years and i have to say i prefer them with some singing it definitely adds more variety to their sound
"Time waits in spirals and in circuits and / we stay in peril and imperfect and / why wait for the silence to be heard / when you are the reason why I'm in love with the world" \m/ ! Favourite DH album ever
This song is perfection captured
Forever looking back
Forever tormented
So clever in disguise
And never was she fully realized
Take everything you have
Take everything you thought you ever knew
And leave it for the goddess figure
True I've been wrong
And I've been taught a lie
And can never look back
To the throes of a normal life
I'm in love with the world
Time waits in spirals and in circuits and
We stay in peril and imperfect and
Why wait for the silence to be heard when you are
The reason why I'm in love with the world
And when you follow in his shadow
You're devoured by your loss
Some pay forever with their winnings
Some stay in debt forever
False I've been true
And it's a lonely line of work that we do
Unto thee given nо reply nо affection so
I've bееn brought up believing a lie
Her vision clearly burns in my eyes
Sun stay surrealist and infinitе
Give all the true power limitless
Now I'm alone with a poisoned mind
It's enough to know
Holy shit. This is a great song, so far, the album is, to me, one of their heaviest albums by far, with that nice little break in with a melodic sound of his voice. Just, just fucking phenomenal man. One of the many reasons this band is in my top five.

Yeah! Thumps up!!!
This is the most amazing song they've ever done.
This and Lunar Divide are so good
the whole Cd is awesome!
I remember back in 2014 when this record came out, I was on a plane to Melbourne and being extremely excited to visit Melbourne for the first time and listing to this song in particular..... Happy memories. 🤘
the gift of the goddess
Simply this album is in my Top 10 of 2014 list!
addicted to this album already. wow!
Gorgeous
I need more songs with cleans and melodies like this. It makes me feel my soul cry. I love it. I need more
The drumming on this track is now sharing my favourite spot with strings of your martyr... This album is astounding.
Awesome!
First times I always sang it
"And we say ; Imperil the imperfect end" until I didn't actually read the lyrcs😂
All in all, masterpeice of a song!
God damn...some of John Henry's screams and growls in this song are phenomenal! Fuckin hell!
Their all time best song!
Never was a darkest hour fan till this album. Love it :)
Listen to Undoing Ruin, It's an incredible album.
the singing is nice, when i was a lot younger i would have been like ugh that's gay blah blah cause i was a immature shit head, but ive matured and enjoy a mix of clean vocals and dirty on metal songs now actually i almost prefer it now a days.
I was exactly the same!
kwl, nice to know.
Loving the clean vocals. He used them a little on the deliver us album but this is amazing. Definitely buying this album on Tuesday!
what song?
StonedToDeliverance a paradox with flies and doomsayer if you were still wondering man :)
im in love again! :D and is because this song :)
I've been a fan since hidden hands, but I can't get used to their new sound. Having said that, I think this song is incredible.
holy shit this song has everything i need fuck yeah
i didn't hear a song on this album that i didn't like ,the guitars are my favorite parts but there are some drum parts that are super catchy too imo
Faith redeemed! Finally some thrashy drums on the new album!
We need some lyricssss!!!
the singing is bringing the cd down - for a 13+year fan of this band...

Exactly, reviews might rip in the mainstream appeal, but I'm stoked. Appeal to the yungins, open some minds
Ебать, это же самая ахуенная песня в альбоме!
Pretty sure 100 of these views are mine.
Guitar riffs sound like they are HEAVILY influenced by The Black Dahlia Murder.
RyanSlays definitely not... DH was around first, also both band are inspired by “At the Gates”

there new stuff is still good but no this is not there heavier stuff not even close

Darkest Hour have been around before metalcore existed.
Nah dude straight up melodeath, however Lunar Divide is like the most basic metalcore song yet they still make it so damn badass
It would be melodeath if there were no cleans but that makes it metalcore, the best metalcore I've ever heard for that matter.
What? No. Clean vocals =/= metalcore. Are you saying that for example Dark Tranquillity is metalcore because the vocalist occasionally sings?
XQriousX This song would be ambigious and does sound melodic death-ish without the clean vocals. Actually just chorus has a distinct metalcore vibe. I'm pretty sure Blo0dredRidingHo0d was talking about this particular style of vocals. tone and style of singing/scream alternation here is more associated with metalcore. (see AILD, old ATR). Miggie 101 I'm listening to it today and listen through it glad there latest album they went back to the good shit
olny song so far was not a fan of was The Misery We Make just was not feeling the song.
Lol, that's like in my top 3 favorite songs from this album though.
