Glad you liked it! I am trying to figure out a way to have the cursor more noticable on the screen recording. As I mentioned, the current display/mouse settings have ianooyingly large on my screen, but it doesn't translate through to the screen recording. I'm going to make it better... somehow.
this morning before I got out of bed, I was contemplating the world and thought that the problem was probably caused by the fact that I watching the videos on a 13 inch laptop screen. I will hook up the 43" monitor and see what that does. I do have a question. I was going to practice what you were doing in this video; however, then I type in text it comes out as an outline not filled in. When I preview it it looks normal. Is there a setting I'm missing? @@HoboWithWood
It is a setting in the window menu. Go to the Window menu in Lightburn. Scroll down to the option for "Filled Smooth" option. Select it. Then when you are lookin at items selected to be filled, you will see them that way without having to go to the preview.

Great video. I did learn a few things I didn't know. You are a great teacher. As a beginner to lasermatic (been lasering for a few months). I wish you could do a video on using the lasermatic for beginners. Trying to learn how to engrave tumblers, what a mess.

The settings I used were 2500mm/m and 30% power with the 10W. But you should test for the best settings for your location and environment.

Super info. I tired right clicking and adding to favs but my font item keeps closing. Any ideas?
It is probably working without you being aware. Start a line of text. Open the font selector menu. Go to the very top of the font selector menu. Do you see any favorites? If not, you have selected a favorite font. Pick any font. Then right click in the font name field. A menu you pop up with the bottom option being "Add to favorites." Click add to favorites. The menu will close. But if you open the font selector menu again, you will now see your favorites at the top of the list of fonts available.
This question is a little of the mark but I notice in the background a camera on a tripod, is that what you use to make youtube videos? I am thinking of making youtube videos and looking for suggestions for a camera or cameras that will not break the bank but that will get the job done. TIA
If you go back to the start of Hobo With Wood, I started my videos holding my cell phone. Then gradually progressing to better cameras, then better lighting, better microphones, then multiple cameras and even a video switcher. I don't want to know how much I have invested up to this point and don't want to know.
To keep people watching to the end start throwing in some tidbit, secret setting, (double super secret probation lol) coupon code, just something that you can say at the beginning of the video "stay til the end because I'm going to share blah blah blah, but you have to watch til the end" I see alot of you tubers doing that. I usually watch til just before the end. Like the last 10-15 secs. Does that make a difference to you guys? Or do we have to watch every second of the video?
In my videos, the last 20 seconds is my outro. It will simply show you suggestions of my videos based on your previous interests and my latest posts. There are a lot of folks that use teasers and incentives to get you to continue to watch. But since mine are unscripted and hardly edited, I try to focus on what it is I'm trying to teach or convey. I get distracted enough without trying to worry about if folks are actually watching. i hope they are and are doing so simpy for the content and enjoy the way I present it. i thank you for watching.

I am not the greatest with grammar but isn't it Worlds' not World's, also is that a spelling error with Stir in flour it looks like you have Stip ( unless that a cooking term, I can boil water...just.) Now to raid the kitchen for a cooking board that will mysteriously disappear.
You are correct. About the typos. Grammar was and is one of my weak links. However, "World's" could could still work if I was implying best in ALL worlds of the multiverse. I will be live this Saturday night doing the follow-up to this video. Hope you can make it.
@@HoboWithWood Yep I'll be there, It might be a regional (Aussie/Uk) thing I was taught the apostrophe before the s was short for "World is" the apostrophe after the s was possessive, belonging to the World. Either way most people won't even see/notice it.
You are correct. Now I don't know which is correct. Apostrophe s is a contraction. Like, "it's" for "it is." The apostrophe afterwards shows possession. Such as, "This is a reply to Chris' comment." But since "World is Best Oatmeal Cookie" is not correct and I was wrong about multiple worlds in the previous comment. But if you google World's Best... (anything), the results show World's Best Dad, World's Best Boss, etc. I guess it's a good thing my videos are not about grammar rules. I'm sure someone will let us know which is correct, either here or in the livestream. Thanks for your support.
The recipe needs to be changed we either need to use a cup of butter or we need to cream the cup of margarine.
This recipe has been in my family for over 50 years. I don't tamper with perfection.

I honestly never noticed it was written like that. This truly has been in the family for decades. I typed it up just like it was written down in the original book from the 60's. Back then I think they interchanged one for the other. There wasn't a big anti-margarine movement then. I never noticed it written like this in 50 years.

@@sabergum actually, I have NEVER noticed the way it was written. No offense was taken. It shows you were paying more attention than I was. I've just read this recipe since I was old enough to help in the kitchen.
