!!! I have experienced the same issue that Jack in the shop experienced. My experience was the x position was off by about 6mm. I have also on 2 occasions where Lightburn decided that my work bed changed to encompass the entire work area. You would select something for output and go to display. The display would show you every thin on and off the work bed. Lightburn can’t figure out what was going on. Odd thing was rebooting the computer didn’t fix the issue. I did get it cleared up both times, but I don’t really know what I did to clear it.
Don't you have links anymore where we can order things and you benefit??? Looking for Bambu.
Go to my website and check out my laser blanks and shop supplies pages. I don't do a lot with Bamboo. I'm not a big fan of the inconsistencies of the engraving results. Https://hobowithwood.com
thanks Steve, stay warm!
Thanks for watching.
Octagon shape box
It's worth looking into.
Great job. 👍
Thanks 👍
Yes, this was a good livestream. Don't get me wrong, I love the tutorials, but an occasional good ole sit-down is also nice to watch.
Glad you enjoyed the livestream!
Great livestream tonight
Thanks for tuning in.
Thanks!
Just got the Kiosk and did my first engrave. Cool machine. I did use your affiliate link but don't see any reference to it. If I send you my receipt will you be able to cross reference?
Email me at hobowithwood@gmail.com with your order number and date. I will be glad to help you out in any way I can.
Hello, I just picked up a kiosk. For some reason I am getting clicking when it moves on the Y axis. Seems like the belt is a little loose. Any tips to tighten this up? Any help would be great
Unfortunately, I am NOT technical much at all. IF I have had the same problem, I might could help someone experiencing the same problem. I have not had any problems with my Kiosk. Hopefully you have already figured out your problem and gotten it resolved. If I can ever be any help with designs... that's where I excel.
@ thanks for the response. From what I could tell, the belt was to cold and wasn’t pliable. I brought it into the house to warm it up and it seems to be working the way I hoped it would. So far so good

Thanks Steve. I've been following you for over 2 years and I'm still learning new stuff!
Thanks for watching!
thank you so much, I'm so Noobee at tech PC stuff , really like when you and LA hobby guy put out videos , easy to fallow. thank you

New subscriber! That sir, was time well spent for anyone trying to learn Lightburn, lasers, boxes/puzzles and technique. Thank you SO much!
Thanks for subscribing! It was a fun one to make, I hope it helps you with your projects!
Happy new year Steve I am glad you made this video as I Ned to move my paint can into a rack as I will be making an enclosure for my engraver and need to move a shelf think I will need to watch the rerun again but I have learned a lot so far. Steven 🇬🇧
Happy new year!
I see your stack of scrap...me too!
1 never thought about trying to rotate a guide line.
Great video, thank you! I’m a visual learner but it’s not enough to know what to click, I need to know the why so it’s a repeatable skill. Your teaching style is easy to follow and understand! Thanks for sharing your time.
I’m glad you like my teaching style and that it helps you understand!
The F1 doesn't work, and it looks like it's broken. says the webpage doesn't exist.
I just tried it... it is working for me. ?????
Like you I'm learning as I go. But your videos are a great help.
I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful!
Effortless Laser Cutting The removable base plate protects your work surface during the cutting process, and when removed, allows you to engrave larger items such as tables or chairs. Combined with the machine's built-in air assist for enhanced cutting precision, it ensures your creativity can flow freely and flawlessly. did you get a different version?
With the material sitting on the metal plate, it does not provide effortless cutting. You need a honeycomb bed or at least space under the material to cut cleanly. If this is your only laser, you may not know better. I stand by my statements. I do STRONGLY recommend this laser for folks looking for a laser to use in craft shows or environments just to mark or engrave items. To increase productivity, you might consider buying two of them. But it is NOT a machine design for cutting as is.
It takes agreat man to own his own errors and share them for us too to benefit from his wisdom. Thank you.
I am constantly making misteaks, <------- I believe you truly learn from your mistakes. Since I don't know what I'm doing most of the time, it is easier to show the screw ups than to try and edit them all away.
Do you have a Streamyard link?
Just now seeing this in TH-cam. If you ever need me, reach out through Patreon or email.
I had to use subtitles... I could barely hear anything... From what I saw, it was interesting to watch
Did Gravini move/get pulled? Just 9 months later and the link is a dead end. :-(
It moved from a Czech website to a Russian website. I no longer use it now that it is on a Russian server.
I love taking stuff that nobody else sees value in, and upcycling it; and making it into art. Does this tape trick also work for mirror engraving? (I'm totally new at this.)
Been watching your newer videos, didn't realize you had any xTool lasers.
Unfortunately, I had an extremely bad experience with my xTool. It was my first laser and I had nothing but trouble and problems with it. It was a horrible experience and was nearly an end to "Hobo With Wood" before it even got started. Due to my personal experiences with the product and complete lack of customer support, I do not endorse their products at all. I leave those videos up as a cautionary tale.
Merry Christmas !!!!
And a very Merry Christmas to you!
Mary Christmas and a happy new year Steve. Interesting video. Steven 🇬🇧
Merry Christmas to you, too. People here are really going nuts about these "drones" in New Jersey. Both the Left and the Right political parties are throwing all kinds of conspiracy theories out there. The government simply keeps saying there is nothing to worry about, but they don't attempt to provide any explanation. I sincerely think it is nothing more than government-controlled distraction. It might be more believable if they haven't done things like this throughout history. And the point I was trying to make was "Fear not." Quit buying into their lies and distractions. It is sad when you can't trust half the things the "leaders" are telling us.
Missed the live. Great start with the meaning of Christmas.
Thanks I was trying to carry the theme throughout. FEAR NOT. We do not need to be worried about anything coming from the sky. The only time anything coming from the sky we need to be prepared for will be proceeded by a blast from a trumpet. We need to be prepared; not scared. Merry Christmas!
A very Merry Christmas to you!
Same to you! And thanks for watching.

Missed the live !!! All your videos teach something. Information is needed to make life choices. I wish to thank you for making this Christmas one of the best. Made several Serenity crosses for family.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for watching!!
States have all the legal right, already, to down drones. Faa already have codes and regulations that drones have violated.
Great Stream Steve Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!
My friend has bears in her yard, she would love it!
2....Thank you for a super show.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Steve that was a very interesting video. Who would think you would be making a park bench. That was well thought out design and a great explanation. I am new to lightburn but I was able to follow along and understand. Thanks for your time and sharing. Till next time.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I would love to say I was the first to make a park bench, but I'm not. Once I started with my design, I found several laser cut park benches. But I didn't see any that looked as nice. But I'm far from impartial. 😛 Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video Steve. Learned many things just watching and listening to the process. Now I need to make a set or two of these benches. They make great displays for my 3d printed toys. Thank you Steve.
They're a great way to add some character to your displays!
Only issue is the file you loaded has one bird on the inside and the other on the outside. Other than that I love it.
You didn't watch the video, or you would have seen how I eliminated the "issue" and getting a cardinal on both sides of the legs. I go over how to do it and why you need to. I do make mistakes... but this was not one. 😁
@@HoboWithWood True I didn't watch the whole video, I just bought it 😄
Watched replay, great 4+ learned
Glad you got something out of it!
Great stream.
I appreciate it
I tried to make a one time payment but it will only allow PayPal payments. Any way around this?
I don't understand the problem. ALL purchases on the website are one-time payments.
@@HoboWithWood Trying to make a one time donation but we need to create a PayPal account and that means we need a 'Cell'/ 'Mobile' phone number. Is there an alternative payment option to using PayPal like using a Credit Card Dircetly? If not would you consider employing one?
@@HoboWithWood pps Great to be talking with the man himself!
I misunderstood. I thought you were trying to buy a file... ooops. Look at the top of the website. There is a page "Adopt A Hobo." That page shows the options for making one-time donations. Zelle is my personal favorite. It is actually part of my banks online service. Most banks have and use Zelle. It is safe, secure and no one takes a "processing fee", the person receiving the money gets 100% of the money. hobowithwood.com/adopt-a-hobo/
shoot, I ain't nobody. I put my pants on one leg, lose my balance, fall down, struggle back up, and put on the second leg. Then realize those were the pants I could no longer get buttoned. 🙃
This was a fantastic video, I have learnt so much from just watching this video. I watched it several times to make sure I understood everything correctly. There are so many shortcuts that I never understood properly before, but your explanations were brilliant. Thank you so much for this video, a massive thumbs up 👍.
Glad you enjoyed it!
