  • In this video we will review the use of two modes in LightBurn. First we will see what different setting with power and speed will produce. Once we have our setting the we want with the fill mode we will move on to using the Fill+Line Mode and bring our engravings to life. It would be helpful if you have viewed the following video first on minimum and maximum power settings. Here is a link.

    Good evening Robert. This was yet another very informative video tutorial - thank you, as always. I have been looking at line and fill on lightburn, but did not, until your video realise there were separate options for both the line and the fill element - awesome.
    After all of these months waiting, my laser had finally arrived - today :-) However, it has a cracked sense, so, I should receive a replacement tomorrow of the following day. Im so excited that I can now put what I am learning from you into practice. I will certainly be returning to some of your older videos as reference during my learning my laser phase.
    Robert - thank you so much, as always, and I hope both yourself and your wife are doing well

    I been meaning to check out that fill + line mode in lightburn. What I recently did, and it came out really cool was I first did a fill operation of some text then on a second operation did the line mode on that same text and it came out spectacular but that does requires doing it in two operations. I assume the fill + line is done as part of the same operation? I do plan to test that mode soon. Thanks. man. I always like stopping by 🙂

      It’s all
      About the lack
      Lack Of air flow. I use just a whisper of air when I engrave anything. That way the vaporized material doesn’t get pushed back on the piece. Very little post prep is needed.

  • @janenguyen7572

    Once you finish engraving on your wood do you normally have to clean it? My one always comes out with a smoky look. Not sure if it is because my air is on too high😖.
    What setting do you have for your air?

      Lightburn has adopted sub layers so now you start with fill then add line as a sub layer with the little + to the right. Lots more flexibility. TH-cam lightburn sub layers are you’ll see how it works. Different but much more powerful

    • @IaidokaNC
      @IaidokaNC ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheGuitarman1968 So what I ended up finding when hunting for this setting, was the ability to add "sub layers", so I set one up as the line with my normal settings, then another layer as fill with my fill settings. I assume this is replacing the Fill+Line option, and letting us add as many sublayers and options as we need.
      Can't wait to test it but it's a few jobs back in the que right now.

    • @TheGuitarman1968
      @TheGuitarman1968 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IaidokaNC I tested this today. As you suggested, I am getting around the issue by duplicating text and creating two separate layers. One layer for "fill" and the other layer for "line." Then just overlay the line layer over the fill layer. This "work-around" requires a few extra steps, but it works great so far. 👍

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it’s there, it’s handled in a sub layer instead. sub layers are brand new. so you would have a fill layer then add a sub layer for the line.
