Well, what games do you play? I play Starhawk, Killzone 3, MAG, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Call of Duty Black Ops. They all run very smoothly, Dust 514 is the only game I play that isn't very smooth, but it's in BETA stage.

On the other hand, Playstation Network is free, has a web browser (can view porn), Playstation home, and has millions of more users that are past their puberty....Since upgrading from Xbox to PS3 i'll say Xbox live has the edge with party chat in which you can talk to your entire clan, friends, and family at the same time.

I'm not talking about plus, either. When you buy the console, you pay $250-350 for the console, while you pay $150-200 for an Xbox.
You might want to check your provider or your internet options. It can't be the PSN considering it works fine for millions, or else we would all be having the same issues. If it works for millions out there then there's no reason it can't work for you.
