Warriors Of Rock is the most underrated Guitar Hero game, and it's my personal favourite game in the series! I'm very glad you put Warriors Of Rock on S tier! :D And you're right, the 2112 part of the game is 🔥
Fun Fact: A majority of the guest acts on Guitar Hero: Metallica were based on covers the band did on Garage Inc. and Kill ‘em All. “Am I Evil?,” “Turn the Page,” and “Stone Cold Crazy” are all songs they covered over their discography.
The first three guitar heros had a huge impact on my musical taste growing up. I've branched out a lot since then, but it was a good foundation to have
As someone who played all these on the Wii, Rock Band 2 was revolutionary. Rock Band on Wii was such a stripped back version so when we got customization, online play, and DLC I was so hyped. I actually used to sing the Endless Setlist like once a week. It trained me for what I do nowadays, which is sing 3 hour sets xD
These Rock Band rankings make me very happy. I have so many good memories surrounding this franchise with my family, especially my mom. Its got a fine place in my heart
This legitimately feels like some real life conversations I've had with other people about these games. Just having a good time and remembering all the cool stuff. Even if it wasn't all perfect, most of them still brought something special to the table. RB3 probably has to be the top spot for me since the customs scene for that game is still unrivaled in rhythm gaming imo (Clone Hero might get there someday though). And as someone who sweated profusely on the Blitz leaderboards back in the day, I appreciate the kind words for that game too.
38:48 I remember when Neversoft was requesting songs for Warriors of Rock, one of the two songs I requested were DragonForce's Fury of the Storm and I was so hyped it actually got in. The other song which, yeah, I didn't think would make it in, was Crush 40's Live & Learn from Sonic Adventure 2.
Fury of the Storm might just be as important to the bands success as ttfaf. If you didn't know fury was actually one of the most popular custom songs back in the GH2 days which may have attributed to the inclusion of TTFaF in GH3 and FotS in WoR
I miss these games so much. Rock band two and three basically shaped my childhood, and because of them I actually play drums now. I miss these games more than anything.
Man I remember how crazy popular GH was getting around 06/07. Like I knew only knew a handful of other kids who had played the original, but shortly after GH2 released, it was like half the school was playing it and talking about it. Good times, Rocks the 80s was the last one that I owned and played a ton when it released, although I rented a few of the other PS2 ports as well. Kinda wish I kept up with all of these games, but I didn't get into 7th gen gaming until like 2011, when these games seemed to be on a decline. Rocksmith 2014 has kinda rekindled those memories for me a bit though
It is a CRIME that so few fans of the series have played Warriors of Rock. I was so happy to see it in S-Tier. I'm not sure if it's my favorite, but I admire it because I can see how hard the devs worked on the game - it really shows how inspired the team was to make something that was at least new and interesting, and it ended up being great. EDIT: By "fans" I mean people I know who used to play back around GH3, World Tour, etc. Not necessarily the fanbase at large. I just feel like it's really common for people to not bother with WoR, because after so many sequels people just lost faith in Guitar Hero, and just saw games after 3 or World Tour to be glorified track packs.
So glad to see Rock Band 2 at the top of your list. That game was legendary and I spent so many days playing with my brother on that game. I always said Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 2 were my 2 favorite guitar games
i have to say warriors of rock is my favorite, i honestly felt that the engine was super smooth in that game, maybe its just that ive played it so much i really got used to it. it feels the best for me at least. but for real, your stories about rock band 2 just brought back so many memories for me. i grew up playing that game after school every single day, pretty much through almost every song each time. i think i often would get home and just play for 3-4 hours immediately. good times. Thank you so much for your channel, i only discovered recently that there was a community of people out there who still love these games as much as i do
The harder charts from WOR aren’t my favorite as they prioritize strumming over anything else with some exception like the final battle and the bonus materials but older charts from previous guitar hero games can be played so that evens itself out
I enjoyed Smash Hits (labelled Greatest Hits in Europe I think) Gave me a chance to catch up on the PS1/PS2 era GH games/songs as I only had a gamcube until I bought a PS3.
I cant believe GH5 is one of your favorites as well! that was really my first experience playing GH and I had so much fun going through the songs with that black Rockband Strat. I enjoyed this game so much, I just wish more people gave it attention
literally have so many memories with WoR. that game, my full band kit, and my xbox went EVERYWHERE with me, my friends and i were hooked. looked up WoR for pc and usb guitar controllers and found two of your videos as the top results as well!! gonna watch those and it looks like i'll be kicking it with a WoR mod for GH3 before long
Ik it can look insane to some people but for me 2 is better than 3 in songs and on nostalgia (for me) but i never player guitar hero 1 so idk if thats fair, and i think that gh3 should be atleast upper than gh1
GH5 also had a really cool mode where the game would change your difficulty as you played so you could try and challenge yourself. I thought that was really cool as a kid.
Guitar Hero V is probably my favourite. Great set list that opened me up to a lot of indie rock and classic rock. I'm not sure if this is valid, but I found the visuals really appealing. Felt like the series finally took off the proverbial eyeliner and brushed up. Great video!
The emotions that came to me when you put WOR on s bro, that game made the majority of my life from 7th to 9th grade, and i know it gets memed on a lot, but i really liked it, and didn't really understood why it was so overlooked. I loved the difficulty in all of the songs there too, as i would really say this was the send off to classic guitar hero. Literally putting everything that was seen previously on a tight as hell game. Bro and the band implementation was sick.
Rock band 2 to this day will always be one of my favorite games of all times. From the features to the setlist. Jesus the thousands of hrs i put between the 360 and ps3 versions since the games release....just outstanding!
About a year ago I bought a RB1 drumset for $50 and RB2 on PS3 on a whim. Now I have every instrument except the pro guitar, and a bunch of these game. Legendary series
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought RB2 was amazing. It was perfect for everyone IMO, the songs were 10/10, DLC was on point and addictive to buy, doing the endless setlist, the online play being super good. But the thing that really made it for me as a drummer was the competitive aspect of it. learning the best overdrive paths, as well as squeezing made the game addictive to play. You could FC a song, but the score has potential to be a few thousand more points due to squeezing and good OD paths.
Smash hits was great for me for monetary reason. In France, at some point, it was 30e to get the game with a GH3 Les Paul that I still own to this day. It was a great deal!
playing world tour at my cousins house is how i convinced my family to get us a wii as a kid, and started my love of rhythm games! i’ll always love it lol
As an (amateur) character designer, I think WoR is probably the greatest in the series in that department. The whole returning gang look the best they've been, the newcomers look great, and don't even get me started on their Warrior forms. Just- *chefs kiss*. (Also not to mention the mocap performances with the extra love in them, like Bohemian Rhapsody.)
RB2 and the early days of RB3 were the pinnacle of rhythm gaming for me, as a multi-instrumentalist (singer, drums, keys, guitar, bass, I played it all - pro too). I miss the community. RB4 doesn't even seem to have full band high scores. I miss activiating OD together at the exact right time - the hidden language of competitive RB playing.
I think people should admit that pro drums and vocals having densely high-scoring sections made full-band overdrive pathing an absolute freakin' blast.
The Beatles Rock Band was my first introduction to these games and was given to me as a present by idefk who anymore but i remember i would play it with one friend in particular. Our mother's worked together i think so ofc we spent a lot of time together and whenever he was over, we'd play The Beatles Rock Band. Every. Single. Time. I only had the guitar and mic but we'd take turns on each. It was sO fun watching the intro with The Beatles traveling the world and Here Comes The Sun playing before playing the game. Miss that tbh. And my friend who moved away 😔
For me, GH2, GH3, and RB1 are high S tier, those 3 games had such an influence on my taste in music. Every time I hear the songs from any one of those games, it takes me back to middle school when I was obsessively playing those games. Really loved RB2, GHWT, GHMetallica, GHAerosmith, GHVan Halen as well, but nothing tops those first 3 games for me, legendary stuff \m/
You listing those setlists makes me wanna play these games again so bad. My Rockband phase lasted for just one summer and it had a seismic and permanent impact on my music taste.
Rock Band 2 was also my absolute favorite. It was the pinnacle of Rock Band to me and my friends. 3 was cool cuz of the keyboard support, but it didn't feel the same.
"Why did Smash Hits need to be a thing?" 1. To bring the Full Band World Tour Experience (tm) to classic tracks 2. To adapt older cover tracks with Real Tracks Performed By The Artists 3. To adapt fretting tracks with the newer mechanics of GHWT/5, like the Tap Notes. I get why you may think this is extraneous if you're a guitar-only player (especially compared to GH2), but as a full-set experience, it needed the abridgement and really only missed a couple of the gems (coughs in Misirlou, Trogdor!!, and Free Bird ...and one could argue Less Talk More Rokk but that became RB2 DLC, so it's golden)
@@Darkshock25 ah shoot you're right, I really mean them as a genre. It's probably good to have 2 big franchises making the same type of game at the top anyway
I played a lot of guitar hero in high school, and the games I played the most were GH5 and WoR. In addition, my parents gifted me World Tour. I absolutely loved all these games, and I'm happy to see you love them too!
Rock Band 2 is legit the goat. The characters, the venues, the animations, the setlist, the DLC, the sound effects, the audience sound effects, the charts- it was all so incredible. Literally the only cons I have is that the song selection screen doesn’t show stars and percentage, and the hit windows could be better
I like how this is released on april fools day, but is an unironically enjoyable video (also yes i know its like not been the video length yet, im just saying im really enjoying how chill the video is so far)
Pretty sweet video, gave me a wave of nostalgia remember all these games. If you end up making more of these I'd love to see one ranking the guitar hero clones (phase shift, fof, hell even guitar flash lol)
Yoo, Guitar Flash was my jam back in the day! Also there was this flash game called Riff Master or Guitar Master, I've seen both variants, only the logo changes. That was hilarious. XDD
Warriors of rock, the game that I've seen getting shit on for no reason and the one that I must admit feels like the best Guitar hero experience out of all GH/RB games i own. Absolutely brutal setlist and timeless. I'm sad that i only got interested in this game only 4-5 years ago just when the servers were being shutdown slowly. Thank you for putting that at an S tier, it's well deserved.
Thank you for ranking these! it’s good to see another point of view on these games and I agree with almost all of your opinions. I definitely agree that smash hits could’ve been way better, I think that the majority of the songs should have been from 1, 2, and rocks the 80s so that songs from those games could’ve been accessible to every console.
The only GH I had experience with was Warriors of Rock on Wii. I ended up getting way into Rush quite a few years after the fact, but after watching so many of your videos for the past few years, I can’t wait to go back and see what I missed or would understand now. Thanks man.
Guitar Hero is what made me appreciate classic rock as well. I remember playing shout at the devil on easy while faced away from the TV in front of one of my older brothers thinking I was so cool 😎 lol guitar hero brings back many fond memories. Enjoyed this video a lot. Happy that I stumbled across your channel. Love to see that the community is still involved with creating new content. Cheers ✌️🤓👍
Warriors of Rock is probably my favorite game from the series. As you said, the setlist was incredible, but I personally enjoyed the engine and overall vibe, plus the story mode was super innovative. Always wondered where they would have went next in the series if it didn't get canned.
I haven't played guitar hero in about a decade and maaaan was this ever a throwback. I found guitar hero world tour through a local seller with 2 guitars, package sealed and brand new and they guy surprisingly isn't charging an arm and a leg for it. Super excited!!
Wow man, I remember seeing you as a little kid on scorehero killing it. I was top 50 on gh3ps2 in the first 6 months or so. It's both surprising and not surprising how similar our tier lists are for the games. I love your love for rock the 80s. Had similar experiences with my dad
My first introduction to Guitar Hero was "Scorpions - No One Like You" on a GH:Rt80's showcase in a local Gamestop. Such a banger of an introduction to rhythm games.
People remember Guitar Hero 3 so much because it was where the franchise really started to blow up. It was difficult, and almost stupidly so, but it wasn't held back by mediocre covers like Guitar Hero 2 and 1 were. I don't care how good the songs were in GH2/GH1, Guitar Hero 3 had PROPER songtracks, and a ton of great DLC songpacks like the Dragonforce and Halo songpacks. I got the game for Christmas in 2007 and I still have my xbox 360 copy to this day.
So glad you put Rock Band 2 on S. Great game it’s still my favorite. My guitar and mic are so old and the guitar’s farther up bottoms are so messed up but I still play. Livin on a Prayer, Anyway you want it, Round n Round, and Carry on my wayward son will always be my favs.
Cool fact abt Beatles Rock Band, Dhani Harrison (George Harrison’s son) was like the main reason the game even became a thing, I believe he had liked the Rock Band games before and tried to get The Beatles into the games but like, there was so much that had to go into the game to get the licensing rights which is why the game has such an attention to detail :)
I was actually number 1 on Sharp Dressed Man on guitar on Warriors Of Rock. My game glitched out while playing story mode and searching multiplayer. It took me into the game but let me keep all of my powets from the single player. So I had like 16 times point multipliers and constant star power. I emailed Activision about it but never heard back.
I will admit, while 3 was my introduction, World Tour was why I loved this series. Without World Tour, I would not try to revive my love for the game 13 years later with Clone Hero.
Lego Rock Band is easily the best game to me. It was the game that got me into rhythm games, and ever since then I haven't stopped. I was probably 7 or 8 and I remember playing that game with my brother and jamming out to Summer of '69, Swing Swing, Aliens Exist, and a ton of other songs. I would always pretend to be in an actual band and do interviews and go "on tour" whenever we went to run errands or go on vacation. I have that game to thank for bringing me so much joy in my childhood when there wasn't a lot that could make me happy, and for showing me the world of rhythm games over time. I also have that game and other guitar hero/rock band games for shaping my music taste when I was younger and even to this day. I'm planning on getting a half sleeve completely rhythm game related, and I have Lego Rock Band to thank for it.
Thank you for having WT has S. It's literally the only Guitar Hero game I own and it's got a really great engine and some really cool songs. Plus it's got a Michael Jackson song with a Van Halen solo in it!
I'm sad to see no one ever talk about the warriors of rock guitar, I honestly love it the most out of all of the guitars, including it could change into an axe, I loved the strum bar and the switches
God hearing you talk about Rock Band 2 was so nostalgic for me. I remember being a part of the community at the time. Every week it felt like great songs were coming out. This was around the time I was a senior in high school/freshman in college and I just really cherish that time. Some of the most fun I remember having online. Remember that one singer guy who realized quickly that singing was the least interesting way to play rock band for youtube viewers so he made a video of him getting whipped to Judas Priest's Pain and Pleasure? That was weird! And I can't forget it no matter how hard I try!!! I remember I got the trill down enough that I was able to be one of the first to 6* on Surfing with the Alien and get ranked #1 on the leaderboard for a few glorious seconds and feeling so proud of myself. I remember most people I ran into online only had the base games and free DLC but one time running into a guy who had a ton of DLC as well. We just played together for hours. So fun. I remember Pepsi did a contest where you could win RB DLC and it was way too easy to win so I ended up drinking so much Pepsi that I still don't like it much to this day. I got the full Stevie Ray Vaughn album that way lmao. Good video. Really reminded me of some great times. Also very disappointed you didn't refer to Smash Hits by its proper abbreviation, SHits
FUCK remember when Harmonix appeared on QVC to advertise Beatles Rock Band and you could see formerly Giant Bomb's/currently Nextlander's Alex Navarro on fucking QVC???
being someone who only ever had a Wii i really appreciated the fact Smash Hits exists, could play a decent amount of songs from GH1/2/80s that i never would've had otherwise and it's way easier to justify "can i have this game" to a parent than "can i have all this money for wii shop points"
After watching this video I think that Rock Band VR literally would be Rock Band 4 for PC and you're right,it's sorta like a Tech demo hahaha. Great video and very pog tierlist!
For me personally, Warriors Of Rock was always my favourite. Just me and my three brothers jamming as kids was awesome! Also, I loves the story mode and the setlist was perfect. If this makes sense, it was the most metal out of the Guitar Hero games
Rock Band 4 is ridiculously expensive on PS4 and Xbox One, but I managed to get Rock Band 4 with the Rivals expansion pack for about $30 digitally, and I was able to play the game using my World Tour guitar and adapter.
I definitely sank an INSANE amount of time into Rock Band Blitz. Its gameplay is a lot like Frequency/Amplitude, and I play Amplitude 2016 to this day (and I'm probably the only person in the world to do that)
i only owned 1 guitar hero game in my life and it was world tour on the wii when i was a kid. i loved that game and it was one of the first video games that i owned
I share your exact thoughts about Guitar Hero World Tour. I despised that game when I first played it, but now it's one of my all time favorite video games.
Warriors of Rock, World Tour and Legends of Rock (in that order), are really the trifecta of GH brilliance! Rock Band 2 could make it's way in somewhere, I suppose. I ain't got the time to factor that in.
17:52 "If you were playing Guitar Hero World Tour, you would force one person on Bass." Okay... am I the only one that would actually WANT to play on Bass? I actually feel more comfortable there than on any other instrument.
When I heard Warriors of Rock would have 2112 in it, I immediately pre-ordered it and was hype beyond all reason, and what I got was infinitely more than I could've hoped for. That is my favorite Guitar Hero game of all time, hands down, just for that alone (though, we can all agree that the Rockband controller is better than the Guitar Hero controller, right?)
@@staringcorgi6475 I prefer the Rockband controllers only because I have big hands and poor dexterity, so I can use my thumb on the green button by wrapping it over the top of the neck of the guitar, and have the rest of my fingers on the subsequent buttons, so I don't have to worry about moving my hand up and down. It's possible with the GH controller, just more difficult and straining with how the button is in the middle of the neck, instead of the height of the neck.
I actually have a soft spot for the ds games because last year in my senior of highschool I would bring them and play during class (after my work was done) and it was so goofy but alotta people were genuinely interested in it
Rock Band Unplugged a goated game countless hours on that game for me. you should try out the DS versions of Lego and 3 if you haven't yet, they are similar to the gameplay of RB Unplugged. great vid Alec

Kinda wish I kept up with all of these games, but I didn't get into 7th gen gaming until like 2011, when these games seemed to be on a decline. Rocksmith 2014 has kinda rekindled those memories for me a bit though
TRACK PACKS ARE NOT GAMES THATS WHY THEY'RE NOT ON HERE. YES THAT INCLUDES AC/DC
Acai out here refusing to acknowledge the greatness that is 'Rock Band: Country Track Pack - Vol. 2' (2011)
Fair
I always said Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 2 were my 2 favorite guitar games
i have to say warriors of rock is my favorite, i honestly felt that the engine was super smooth in that game, maybe its just that ive played it so much i really got used to it. it feels the best for me at least. but for real, your stories about rock band 2 just brought back so many memories for me. i grew up playing that game after school every single day, pretty much through almost every song each time. i think i often would get home and just play for 3-4 hours immediately. good times. Thank you so much for your channel, i only discovered recently that there was a community of people out there who still love these games as much as i do
The harder charts from WOR aren’t my favorite as they prioritize strumming over anything else with some exception like the final battle and the bonus materials but older charts from previous guitar hero games can be played so that evens itself out
I enjoyed Smash Hits (labelled Greatest Hits in Europe I think)
Gave me a chance to catch up on the PS1/PS2 era GH games/songs as I only had a gamcube until I bought a PS3.
I cant believe GH5 is one of your favorites as well! that was really my first experience playing GH and I had so much fun going through the songs with that black Rockband Strat. I enjoyed this game so much, I just wish more people gave it attention
loved this. almost got emotional agreeing with you on RB2. magical times.
I was so happy when he placed Rock Band 2 at #1.
It really is one of the greatest games ever made.
literally have so many memories with WoR. that game, my full band kit, and my xbox went EVERYWHERE with me, my friends and i were hooked. looked up WoR for pc and usb guitar controllers and found two of your videos as the top results as well!! gonna watch those and it looks like i'll be kicking it with a WoR mod for GH3 before long
Putting guitar 3 under 1 & 2 is insane
“Psycho Billy Freakout” is still a song I struggle on GH2 but it’s fun to play, and listen to on my own time
GH1 was the proof it could be done, but GH2 refined it like a nice wine.
same with RB1 and RB2!
You still got the equipment? You can get it back online if you don’t have them.
Rock Band 2 was also my absolute favorite. It was the pinnacle of Rock Band to me and my friends. 3 was cool cuz of the keyboard support, but it didn't feel the same.
"Why did Smash Hits need to be a thing?"
1. To bring the Full Band World Tour Experience (tm) to classic tracks
2. To adapt older cover tracks with Real Tracks Performed By The Artists
But some of the games in og gh games are already in rock band so why
as someone who's only exposure to GH games was Lego Rock Band, i'm so happy to see it get an A tier. introduced me to loads of great music
Lego Rock Band is a Rock Band game, not a Guitar Hero game. They’re different franchises for a reason.
@@Darkshock25 ah shoot you're right, I really mean them as a genre. It's probably good to have 2 big franchises making the same type of game at the top anyway
can't believe you forgot GH2 had "yes we can", the only reason it should be in S+ tier
I played a lot of guitar hero in high school, and the games I played the most were GH5 and WoR. In addition, my parents gifted me World Tour. I absolutely loved all these games, and I'm happy to see you love them too!
Rock Band 2 gave me some of the best years of my life as a teenager. 😢😢😢
I like how this is released on april fools day, but is an unironically enjoyable video
(also yes i know its like not been the video length yet, im just saying im really enjoying how chill the video is so far)
XDD
Me and my friends, who are going to college now, still play rockband 2 to this day
Warriors of rock, the game that I've seen getting shit on for no reason and the one that I must admit feels like the best Guitar hero experience out of all GH/RB games i own. Absolutely brutal setlist and timeless. I'm sad that i only got interested in this game only 4-5 years ago just when the servers were being shutdown slowly. Thank you for putting that at an S tier, it's well deserved.
You can play online on clone hero
Cheers ✌️🤓👍
I appreciate this much as someone who also supported much of Rock Band 3 and Blitz's era.
I still love how chill this video is. Such good vibes.
Wow man, I remember seeing you as a little kid on scorehero killing it. I was top 50 on gh3ps2 in the first 6 months or so. It's both surprising and not surprising how similar our tier lists are for the games. I love your love for rock the 80s. Had similar experiences with my dad
Warriors of rock was my first guitar hero game!:) Best birthday gift ever
My first introduction to Guitar Hero was "Scorpions - No One Like You" on a GH:Rt80's showcase in a local Gamestop. Such a banger of an introduction to rhythm games.
These are good rankings and I appreciate your input as to why you ranked some higher or lower than I would have had.
By pop culture influence GH3 is S++ tier with even a South Park episode mocking the franchise
@@duquem0421 lol the south park episode was based around GH2
Owned
@@acai28 I thought it was for guitar hero 3 since the episode aired a week after guitar hero 3 released
@@gabriel-ox7qu the episode aired a week after gh3 was released
So glad you put Rock Band 2 on S. Great game it’s still my favorite. My guitar and mic are so old and the guitar’s farther up bottoms are so messed up but I still play. Livin on a Prayer, Anyway you want it, Round n Round, and Carry on my wayward son will always be my favs.
warriors of rock is my absolute favorite guitar hero game, I played it a ton with my friends for hours, the story mode was also super fun
World tour had TOOL, FUCKING TOOL, S Tier instantly
Yoooo asphalt 9 is finally getting recognition i showed this to my cousins and they had fun
Yeah but it literally plays itself xd they fell off
@@Cankicker yea lmao
What about Rock Band 2?
really nice to hear you bonded with your dad on GH 80s, tier list has valid points too(:
Thank you for having WT has S. It's literally the only Guitar Hero game I own and it's got a really great engine and some really cool songs. Plus it's got a Michael Jackson song with a Van Halen solo in it!
I'm sad to see no one ever talk about the warriors of rock guitar, I honestly love it the most out of all of the guitars, including it could change into an axe, I loved the strum bar and the switches
Love Lockdown vs. The Day That Never Comes is on the Dj Hero 2's Main Setlist. Also, not to mention that there was a hendrix 3 pack on world tour
FUCK remember when Harmonix appeared on QVC to advertise Beatles Rock Band and you could see formerly Giant Bomb's/currently Nextlander's Alex Navarro on fucking QVC???
being someone who only ever had a Wii i really appreciated the fact Smash Hits exists, could play a decent amount of songs from GH1/2/80s that i never would've had otherwise
and it's way easier to justify "can i have this game" to a parent than "can i have all this money for wii shop points"
After watching this video I think that Rock Band VR literally would be Rock Band 4 for PC and you're right,it's sorta like a Tech demo hahaha.
Great video and very pog tierlist!
Rock band 2 had a amazing set list the most well known metal, rock/ punk and grunge songs I played it all the time
For me personally, Warriors Of Rock was always my favourite. Just me and my three brothers jamming as kids was awesome! Also, I loves the story mode and the setlist was perfect. If this makes sense, it was the most metal out of the Guitar Hero games
I watched this video over a few days. sad it is about to end, great and such informative content!
Rock Band 4 is ridiculously expensive on PS4 and Xbox One, but I managed to get Rock Band 4 with the Rivals expansion pack for about $30 digitally, and I was able to play the game using my World Tour guitar and adapter.
For me, Rock Band 4 was the worst Rock Band game I’ve ever played. Rock Band 2 is better than that game.
Always great to see some love for GH5!
I definitely sank an INSANE amount of time into Rock Band Blitz. Its gameplay is a lot like Frequency/Amplitude, and I play Amplitude 2016 to this day (and I'm probably the only person in the world to do that)
i gasped when you put gh3 in a tier. Im shook, driving aroung dallas texting your phone.
i only owned 1 guitar hero game in my life and it was world tour on the wii when i was a kid. i loved that game and it was one of the first video games that i owned
Smash Hits would have been amazing if it was released in like 2015 as nostalgia bait, with songs from all games.
Guitar Hero 1 in S, Guitar Hero 3 in A... gonna chock this up to the April Fool's upload date
This video is amazing. Loved the music too
WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Very cool seeing Alec sponsored by Asphalt. Used to play Asphalt 7 and 8 for hours on my terrible Windows 8 PC back in 2015.
It's 3 am here but you're acai
so I wake up to watch anyways
I share your exact thoughts about Guitar Hero World Tour. I despised that game when I first played it, but now it's one of my all time favorite video games.
The music playing during the Guitar Hero: World Tour section matches his feelings
Warriors of Rock, World Tour and Legends of Rock (in that order), are really the trifecta of GH brilliance!
Rock Band 2 could make it's way in somewhere, I suppose. I ain't got the time to factor that in.
17:52 "If you were playing Guitar Hero World Tour, you would force one person on Bass."
Okay... am I the only one that would actually WANT to play on Bass? I actually feel more comfortable there than on any other instrument.
I was speaking more for the people who played for GUITAR hero, obviously there are people who don't mind bass/prefer bass.
@@acai28 Ah, that makes more sense now. But still, if I was in a 4 player band with anyone, don't be surprised if you see me on Bass!
A gh controller is way better if playing harder songs like dragon force
@@staringcorgi6475 I prefer the Rockband controllers only because I have big hands and poor dexterity, so I can use my thumb on the green button by wrapping it over the top of the neck of the guitar, and have the rest of my fingers on the subsequent buttons, so I don't have to worry about moving my hand up and down. It's possible with the GH controller, just more difficult and straining with how the button is in the middle of the neck, instead of the height of the neck.
I actually have a soft spot for the ds games because last year in my senior of highschool I would bring them and play during class (after my work was done) and it was so goofy but alotta people were genuinely interested in it
Rock Band Unplugged a goated game countless hours on that game for me.
you should try out the DS versions of Lego and 3 if you haven't yet, they are similar to the gameplay of RB Unplugged. great vid Alec
man i was really hoping rock band metal track pack would be on here. i never really see people talk about it and honestly i think its far underrated. setlist was amazing and especially fun to play on drums like i primarily did.
Metal Track pack is just Rock Band 1 with DLC, it's not a full game
