I'm 27 years old, 180.2 cm. I'm also MMA fighter and training minimum 2 times a day(cardio, weight lifting, fighting and etc.) From the beginning of the month I decided to lose my weight up to 78 kg so I can fight in the different weight division. I've started from 84 kg. Tracked every single meal. Increased my NEAT by doing 10 000 steps a day, and not using the elevator(I'm living on 8th floor). Also i checked my self on dexa scan and it showed up that my BMR is 1980 calories so with all the activity that I'm doing I decided that to be in caloric deficit i have to consume around 2200 calories. Even though I'm not eating that many calories (sometimes lower 1300-1800, but never higher than 2200) it's easy for me to get the protein number (minimum 160 grams). Also I'm doing intermittent fasting 20/4 I'm eating from 17:00 until 21:00 I've started my diet and increased my training and NEAT exactly 2 week ago, when I was 84 kg. 2 weeks passed and instead of losing a bit I gained a lot 🤯 I don't expect huge weight loss in 30 days. But what's happening right now is not what I expected after two weeks. For many people number on scale doesn't matter as long as they look good in the mirror. In my case numbers really matter. So after 14 days I gained +3 kg. Is it plateau? or I'm doing something wrong?
I've also been doing intermittent fasting for the last 2 weeks because I hit plateua and couldnt lose weight after doing the same diet and routine for 4 months. And during my fasting i decided to add much more workout and guess what :D i also gained weight 😂 maybe fasting isnt for us. Its good to eat every couple hours even if its small meals/snacks, that keeps our metabolism working well. whereas fasting slows it down because your metabolism doesnt work for hours. so it can get tired by the time we eat and for it to chew down. Your mistake was doing to much cardio, now your body is adjusted and won’t burn as much energy from cardio, you need to do a cheat week where you completely slack off everything, then after a week or two go back to calorie deficit and and MINIMUM CARDIO, remember weight loss comes from the kitchen, use cardio to move past plateaus but not as a basis
3 hours of cardio is crazy bro, you should have stuck with mapping your exact tgee and decrease calories from there. The key is to manage your macros, get adequate protein to keep muscle mass, and adequate carbs for energy, after that. Just weight lift and interject cardio like once a week
It is possible to lose weight by just weight lifting and diet, it’s actually the most proficient way since you are retaining the most amount of your muscle mass, you need to focus on retaining the muscle mass you have now while cutting out junk, aka eat protein and avoid excess calories
How long after eating more calories did you see results and how many did you eat? I'm in a plateau now at 214 lbs and I was at 242. It's so frustrating. It's been a month with no results. I eat about 1835 calories a day.

Now I feel like I hit a weight loss plateau and not losing weight anymore since one week because I begin eating junk and 1,000 calories a day again. Now my plan is to get back on track because quitting is the only way to guarantee failure. We can do this. I believe in you, Ruben.

I think I hit mines in every 10-15 pounds? Like I’ll lose weight constantly and after losing around 10-15 pounds I’ll stop at that weight for like 5 days and then goes back to losing
Exactly same with me
I'm 27 years old, 180.2 cm.
Also I'm doing intermittent fasting 20/4 I'm eating from 17:00 until 21:00
I've started my diet and increased my training and NEAT exactly 2 week ago, when I was 84 kg.
I hope you've found a solution let me know if you have

Are you tracking your calories?? And how long has it been?

If your body is used to low calories, go back to maintenance calories for at least a week. You can keep track on My Plate App.
This happened to me as well, it literally took about 2 and a half almost 3 weeks to lose my first pound or two it was very discouraging 😔 but I kept at it , I actually was on keto those weeks when I saw my weightloss finally I was still on keto and I started out walking 3 times a week (before I lost the few pounds) then the second week (before the weight loss) i picked up jump rope and then walking 3 to 5 times a week then boom i saw some weight loss .. u got it .. keep it up !!
I lost 25 pounds in a month and I’ve been stuck just under 225 for like 2 weeks
Congrats! @Blake Horton , I hit mine after 5lb lost.
I lost 27 since quarantine, and I’ve gained 4 back since hitting a plateau last week.

@@samiali1322 thats your problem, you’re not eating enough you need more protein especially as you are still growing at your age you shouldnt be eating less than 2200 calories or you wont grow right, youll loose muscle and no fat, and youll slow your metabolic rate which will further hurt your future weight loss
How's it going?
Thanks for sharing this. Been so worried about the plateau😞

What lol I'm already on 1400 max Cals a day I can't cut anymore and burn off almost 600 a day
I started wrong. My weight then was about 93kg and I went on extreme calorie deficit 1000 cal a day to 500 cal a day. I lost 7kg in 3wks and went on plateau for 2 weeks now. I can't go below 500 cal. Don't know what to do anymore :(
Standing desk with under the desk treadmill is the goat.
I have been keeping under 1,500 calories and started jog/walking 5 miles a day and still haven’t lost weight. I’m getting frustrated
try 1900 calories with 200G of proteein for 7 days with 6x workout and then back to your 1500 calories again
It’s an older comment not sure if you managed to break it in in the same situation

if you start off with a 1500 calorie intake should you increase your caloric intake and excercise more to break out of a plateau?
I’m eating around 1600-1900, just been 1 week now for me. If I do end up hitting a plateau, did you figure out the answer to you’re own question?

I’m down 41 pounds in 4 and a half months. I went from 376 to 335. I’ve only lost 1 pound in the past 2 weeks. It’s frustrating. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting (20hr fast/4 hour eating window. Exercise 5-6 days a week (3 miles/HIIT Workout videos). be more active? 😭 i try do 10,000 steps a day despite being unemployed the old me rarely ever went outside or to the gym. and i also do 20-30min hiit workouts or body weight excercise everyday. and i still cant get rid of this stall with my weight. i also consume 1200 cals and im 74kg 5"6. oh and ive also been intermittent fasting the last 2 weeks so i could maybe overcome this stall and lose again but nope (: no luck
the thing is is that your body is so use to this plan it wont work to lose more. it instead will maintain it. Try walking 18000 steps or eat more calories just eat a lil more calories and excercise more and intensly
Down to 164.2lbs from 189.9lbs but can't seem to blast past 164lbs.

My calories are already hella low; I’m at 1,200 and 3 hours cardio everyday, I do the treadmill for about 30 mins steady state and then football in the evening for about 2 and a half hours. And Iv hit a plataeu, any help?
you should try lifting some weight because if you strength workout your muscles burn fat/calories while in a state of rest too
Your mistake was doing to much cardio, now your body is adjusted and won’t burn as much energy from cardio, you need to do a cheat week where you completely slack off everything, then after a week or two go back to calorie deficit and and MINIMUM CARDIO, remember weight loss comes from the kitchen, use cardio to move past plateaus but not as a basis
@@Silverarrows445 don’t you think a cheat weak will ruin all my
Progress?
3 hours of cardio is crazy bro, you should have stuck with mapping your exact tgee and decrease calories from there. The key is to manage your macros, get adequate protein to keep muscle mass, and adequate carbs for energy, after that. Just weight lift and interject cardio like once a week
It is possible to lose weight by just weight lifting and diet, it’s actually the most proficient way since you are retaining the most amount of your muscle mass, you need to focus on retaining the muscle mass you have now while cutting out junk, aka eat protein and avoid excess calories
Hit a plateau after losing 60 lbs 😪 from 230 to 170. At 188, I was 188 for a month. For some reason what ended the plateau was eating more calories
How long after eating more calories did you see results and how many did you eat? I'm in a plateau now at 214 lbs and I was at 242. It's so frustrating. It's been a month with no results. I eat about 1835 calories a day.
@@blaqk_soul Hi Ruben,
I have the same question like you because we both feel or think we hit a weight loss plateau. My maintenance calories for my weight is 1,750. But during my strict diet I only eat 1,000 calories a day including breakfast lunch dinner. So probably 325 calories per meal. When I started to only eat 800 calories a day I begin losing some pounds very quickly. From 80 kg to 75 kg in just two weeks. I believe most of that weight loss was just muscles and water. Now I feel like I hit a weight loss plateau and not losing weight anymore since one week because I begin eating junk and 1,000 calories a day again. Now my plan is to get back on track because quitting is the only way to guarantee failure. We can do this. I believe in you, Ruben.

It's not good to have a big calorie deficit! Your body will think it's starving so it'll hold onto fat. Increase your calories and stop exercising for a few days to calm your body down.
Then focus on maintaining a 500 calorie deficit. Good luck!!
I already did both of these, I’ve tried everything, I’ve been this same weight for months and I’ve been in a deficit every day. I’m so defeated
trying increasing and decreasing your calorie intake each day! it's called zigzag calorie cycling. i had the same issue x
