I saw this video over 3 months ago...everytime my weight stalled, I remembered his words to keep going and surely enough the next week pounds would come off and then I would stall for a while again....and I would push through....KEEP GOING
Thanks. I had my first stall this morning, after losing pounds every week for the last 6 weeks. It has pissed me off a bit, however, your note certainly helps.
this is me now. i’ve been getting frustrated because february to the beginning of march i lost 10 pounds with no problem now im stuck it’s been almost 3 weeks now.
@@zahedah80did you just keep increasing the deficit by increased cardio or reduce calories? You just had to grind it out huh? I just hit my plateau and been the same weight for two weeks. I dropped the calories a bit. Is that the answer just grind it out and the weight will fall off eventually?
I so needed to hear this 💯🙌🏾 I lost 45 lbs and have hit a plateau for a few months. I have that much more to lose. I’m hitting the gym, eating clean but the scale stays the same. It’s so easy to get discouraged when you don’t get the results as quickly as you’d like but I’m gonna ride it out.
This makes sense. Honestly I've been saying something similar to this in my head. Just keep repeating "Trust the process" and go with what ive been doing
I lost 40 lbs super fast dieting and going to the gym 7 days a week. The last 2 weeks I've been stuck at 220 I started at 260 and I realize 40 lbs of fat loss is great but it's discouraging to stop seeing progress. I'm in an extreme deficit every day, I go to the gym and bust ass and get on the scale every morning to see no change. I'm not going to stop, it just sucks losing so much so fast and then nothing. My body is holding onto my mid section. I just want to get rid of this damn belly fat. Thanks for the videos! Knowledge is truly power.
@@TLS31255Thanks! I did, it sounds crazy but I started eating more and stopped doing cardio. I was pushing my body too hard and starving it so it was in survival mode and started holding on to everything I put into it. I eat between 1600-1800 calories a day now instead of 1000-1200 and focus more on weight training 6 days a week. I was doing weight training and a ton of cardio. I also try to make it a point to eat a good amount of fiber and protein throughout the day as well.
I lost 27 lbs in 11 weeks. The last 2 weeks I've been suck around 242 to 244 lbs.. today I weigh 240. The important thing is to definitely keep going. Thanks for the words of encouragement!
Holy Cow! Meet your brother! Been stuck in 240 - 243 lbs despite daily cardio, 15% calorie deficit, high protein intake to prevent lean muscle being used as fuel. Thank you for inspiring me to keep going. I'm down from 288lbs so I'm doing so well!
I have been IF since December. Down 50. Could not lose that last 10. Went back to eating normal (still healthy,) for two weeks (didn’t weigh myself) Went IF again 1 week before Drs appoint. His scale had me down 7 lbs. I could not believe it, thought it had to be calibrated wrong. Next day, on my scale, I was also down the 7. So, body need a break apparently. Yes, just stick with it. Don’t just obsessively weigh yourself. Keep doing your thing and let it happen for you.
I always get over a 'plateau' by taking time off the gym and giving my body the opportunity to rest and recover. I get crazy fast 'newbie' results once I start working out again!
At the end... “don’t change your calories, don’t change your training”. Maybe not the best advice 🤔. If you’ve been on the same diet for a long time and made tons of weight loss progress, it’s possible you’re no longer in a caloric deficit. If you’ve been at the same weight for weeks. It would be a good idea to try going 200 calories lower. Or adding 20-30 min of low intensity cardio to what you’re currently doing.
I didn't know what is platuea until i searched why im not loosing weight my weight is stucked in 94kg for 3 months but is see slight body changes can you please give me a tips how to stop that platuea
I started my weight loss about 6 weeks ago. Starting weight was 228 and I'm now down to 211. I am a big sweets eater and pretty sedentary. I have started with IF, 18/6. I only eat dinner and 1-2 snacks each day. My calories are around 1200. I haven't incorporated exercise just yet, other than riding bikes with my daughters some days. I know the plateau is coming, and most of what I've lost so far is probably only water weight. But I'm not giving up this time-I haven't been under 200 in almost a decade and I'm so close!
Very proud to hear that, keep at it with the IF and calorie counting. You could also try incorporating some low intensity cardio like a light jog outside or home workouts and the fat, thats underneath the water weight, will eventually melt off as youre doing everything else the right and healthy way! Keep going 💯
It’s tough. I’ve lost just over 90 pounds this year(2022). 340 down to in between 243-247. I’ve been in a “plateau” for about a month and it is discouraging. I did take a 3 week break from the gym from a work related accident where my ankle was injured. But I am back in the gym now 4 days a week but the scale isn’t going down anymore. Im Washington he said way I have the whole year to lose more weight. I am sticking to around 2000 calories a day. I do have a protein shake with creatine after every workout so considering I’m gaining muscle, could be a factor as to why I’m not losing too much weight. My fat is turning into muscle but I still have a lot of leg fat and belly fat that I’m having a difficult time trying to get rid of. Thanks to all who read this (not sure how many that will be) but I’ll keep doing my best and keep going to the gym to better myself. Enjoy yourselves everyone
Thanks for this advice. I really needed to hear it! I've lost 100 lbs. in the past year but have lost no weight in over 2 weeks. I remained patient and just broke the plateau after 18 days.
Thanks, I needed to hear this. Been the story of my entire adult life. Step 1: go on fad diet. Step 2: lose a bunch of weight quickly and get excited. Step 3: stop losing weight as quickly. Step 4: start asking why I'm suffering for "no results." Step 5: quit and regain all my weight and then some. Step 6: see Step 1. At the very least, I'm glad that I'm tired of this pattern and recognize that it even is a pattern. I'm going to keep at it.
I've been at kettlebell training for going on 3 years, and have seen slow but steady progress the whole time. I love this video. Have patience, and keep the faith! Thanks, MindPump!
Main reason I'm here. I'm at that "plateau" trying to figure it out! 😂. I've been in the gym every day and fasting for two weeks and zero weight loss. Zero sugar and minimal carbs. Lots of protein intake and no weight loss. I am going to intake more fiber and water in my diet to see if that will change things. Keep going.
I felt like this until my last doctors appointment, and she was pleasantly surprised to see that my blood pressure was actually normal. There are results that you might be getting that aren’t measurable by a scale. 👍
I started my diet and excercise on November 1 at 265 pounds and I'm down to 224 pounds today.........ever since u said Just keep going I'm going .....I gotta get to 210
Right on point my man. I've told so many people who stay in great shape all year round they've been working out or been in the fitness industry for years and they know what to do because they went through all the bumps and made so many mistakes
The last 4 months I’ve lost 30 lbs. I was 180 now I’m 150. I am doing the same thing I have been doing, but haven’t been able to lose anymore for the last week. It’s scary lol. But this helped

You’re the reason why I stopped thinking the way I did when I always gave up during weight loss. Your words the way you speak just hit home and stick with me. I know what’s wrong and what’s bad. I know weight loss isn’t perfect downhill but when it comes to me my mind wasn’t strong enough to cope with “plateau” and I’d give up. Ever since I’ve been listening to you since august I’ve lost 25 pounds and I’m getting close to my end goal. Currently stuck in a “plateau” and waiting it out because I know I’m not eating 3500 calories extra daily or weekly.
Thank you so much. This really makes sense and helps that said weightloss progress are zig zag and never straight. I have been searching fix for my weightloss plateau. It’s been a month and my weight has been stagnant even after following proper diet and workout regimen. Your advice really makes sense. Thank you.
I just reached my plateau. I needed this video. It was 33 inches around the waist I’m at 29 I wanna be at 27. I just need to keep pushing forward even though I feel like I’ve been at the same waist line for at least three weeks now.

Thanks for the motivation. I was happy when I was losing a lot of weight in 5 months then it stopped. I did everything but my weight won’t budge. I got frustrated and resulted to panic and binge eating. Next thing I know I’m gaining weight again. I was in a plateau for 4 months now…. But I realized I shouldn’t stop after all what I did…. Now because of this video I gained my motivation back and ready to continue my journey towards a healthy lifestyle….
Thank You! I needed to hear this. I will never quit my Doctor said I was pre diabetic 😳 my life changed forever I lost 30 lbs I want to lose 30 more I need to be patient I just want my lab results to come back better.
I was in my plateau for 3 months already weighing 82kg. I just gave up but I have fear of returning my 106kg again so i maintained my everyday walk for 30mins and started eating high carbs then I saw this video 1 month ago actually and now I started losing again thank you. I started my meal with 1 apple and milk at 5am then I walked 45mins everyday then I have my full meal at 8am like 3 tbsp og oatmeal, 2 eggs then 1 cup og veg. This will make me full until 1pm then I ate my lunch oatmeal again with 1 fish and vegs, then I will force to eat light meal before 6pm like vegs and 2 ngiohiong thats all. Then slept at 8pm.
I really need to keep this in mind right now. I've recently ramped up my cardio but seemed to have stalled out on weight loss. I'm trying hard to forget that I'm not seeing progress right NOW but that I WILL if I keep it up.
Great video and just what I wanted to hear , I was losing weight on a daily basis and just stopped !!! I know it’s impossible to lose weight every day but I am stuck on the same weight for a few days . This video has helped me not to give up thank you 😊
I will keep going. But it's good to hear this. I only started on the 29th December, lost 2 kilos in about 12 days and then I have not lost a gram since!!! But I'm keeping on going because I'm eating well and I've cut out sugar and flour and only having healthy carbs. Tuna, salmon, mince, chicken with lots of veg. Some nuts, eggs. I'm not hungry. Maybe I could reduce my calories but as I'm only 155cm I set a limit of 1200 and have been finding it ok most days but I think going lower would be tough to keep up for ever, so I'll try not to cry at my 19 day ''stall'' and just keep on keeping on.
I haven't lost weight in over a month. Not quitting but it's frustrating. I measure and weigh all my food and I am very active. I don't feel like I can eat less than 1800 calories a day.
Mate I lost 20 pounds in 4 months, but since I've been stuck at 81kg. It's been over two months now. I've started working out daily (even doing strength training whereas before I only ran) and I count every single calorie I put in my body, making sure I'm on an (at least) 7700 calorie deficit per week. This may apply to many other people but I think there's something wrong here.
Same issue brother i also lost 25 pounds in 5 months and i am stuck at 105 for around a month and it is so annoying 😭 When you train so hard and get to see no results
Hahahahahha i was sitting on the train and it was stuck for 7 minutes Straight, in the middle of nowhere. And then just as he said no u wait till the Doors Close and it keeps going the train started going again. This is a sign this man speaking fax 🤣🤣
I lost 50lbs in 3 months then it just stopped. I haven't gained any but I'm not losing any and haven't in almost 2 months. Im not doing anything different. I'm still dieting and eating right but nothing
Thank you this is my first time really trying to lose weight and I know that I'm way under in my calories so I should be fine but I'm not seeing results for the past 2 weeks I've been fairly stable in my weight but I've been feeling good about what I've been doing I just wondered if there was something I could do more and this reminded me that I'm doing well I just need to keep doing it you're awesome thanks for the video
Thanks. I’ve lost 22lbs in 30 days, every dan going down a little bit. Last 6 days i have lost only 300 grams. I didn’t change my diet but the progress is not there for some reason. Today i was so angry that I eat something loaded with kcal… just like you said it. Gonna behave better tomorrow, thanks for this great advice
I should not have laughed when you said plaaaaaa toeeeeee but I chuckled. This was exactly the message I needed! I’ve been scrambling trying to figure out how to burn more fat and I’m nearing burnout. So glad I came across this video. No more crying about a plaaaaa toeeeee 🤣
I've been in a "Plateau" for about 7 months, despite eating a high protein diet, weighing my food to make sure everything is portion correctly, and doing strength training and cardio in each workout session. I'm in the gym for roughly 90 mins-2 hours 4 times a week.
Your body also shrinks off inches, its eliminating dead/loose skin, the stalling is yiur body going through its natural processes. It's nothing abnormal. People try to tirce their body to focus on the weight but that is double edged sword because you kay lose fat and gain water weight replacing that fat loss and it reads on the scale as the same weight, we are focused on fat loss not weight loss. It took time to put on the weight so ket your body take its time to lose it. Your body is smarter than you remember that.
Keep going is useless when your body has adapted to what your are doing. So this video is useless because keep going doesn't teach you how to fix body adaptations. What can you do when you are at a point that your body or your strength doesn't change? Keep going is great and necessary but useless if you don't know how to change to keep your body adjusting to new things. So how do you adjust eating and workout in order to keep your body from fully adapting? Thats what I would like to know? Should I increase my calories or decrease my calories? What new workout regiment can I use so my body needs to adapt again? That's the hardest part. Not "KEEP GOING" its useless if your body has already adapted!
I agree! Your body adapts & you can just do the same & expect more weight loss ‘forever’. I’ve been 3 months in & lost 20lbs and the last 2-3 weeks nothing. I’m thinking of dropping calories but 2 days ago bought a bicycle so I know that is new & will (hopefully) burn more calories

Did you end up losing weight again? I am still in a plataeu for almost 3 months.
@@Mike-fd5wj still in a stall?
Thank You! I needed to hear this. I will never quit my Doctor said I was pre diabetic 😳 my life changed forever I lost 30 lbs I want to lose 30 more I need to be patient I just want my lab results to come back better.
Even though this was 3 years ago, it's EXACTLY what I needed to hear right NOW! Thank you!
Best video so far about this topic
I really need to keep this in mind right now. I've recently ramped up my cardio but seemed to have stalled out on weight loss. I'm trying hard to forget that I'm not seeing progress right NOW but that I WILL if I keep it up.
Man I needed these words of encouragement. 😊it changed my way of thinking about my Weight loss journey. Thanks
Needed to hear this brother, thank you.
that train analogy makes so much sense
This was oddly beautiful idc what anyone says. Also he got me on the emphasis of “plateau” I couldn’t stop laughing 😂
Great video and just what I wanted to hear , I was losing weight on a daily basis and just stopped !!! I know it’s impossible to lose weight every day but I am stuck on the same weight for a few days . This video has helped me not to give up thank you 😊
Lost a 100 lbs and been stuck for a whole year. Just trying to get those last 10 lbs off.
I needed to hear this before quitting. Thank u
Im not that much into the motivational stuff, but this one for sure got me motivated
That was very direct and exactly what I was looking for 👍
Mate I lost 20 pounds in 4 months, but since I've been stuck at 81kg. It's been over two months now. I've started working out daily (even doing strength training whereas before I only ran) and I count every single calorie I put in my body, making sure I'm on an (at least) 7700 calorie deficit per week. This may apply to many other people but I think there's something wrong here.
Same issue brother i also lost 25 pounds in 5 months and i am stuck at 105 for around a month and it is so annoying 😭
When you train so hard and get to see no results
I lost 40lbs and Ive been stuck at 170 for a while like 3 weeks, ima keep going
Same I’ve lost 70 and have been stuck at 195 for like a month idk what’s going on
@Shady Lad i went from 350 to 325 doing a deficit and i’ve been stuck at 325 for 2-3 weeks and i go on the treadmill and lift dumbbells
@Shady Lad tbh i don’t really move a lot but i also don’t eat a lot is that why i’m on a Plateau because i don’t move ?
I’ve been at the same weight for 2 months
@Shady Lad exactly same situation🙄
I come back to this often and I usually get over this rough spot after watching
What happens if I have been at the same weight for 3 months working super hard and haven’t seen any changes
I love this video. This guy makes it real and personal.
It's as though he knows my story and is giving me a tough love pep talk.
I subscribed.
Bro you don’t know how much I needed this advice atm
Does it still aply if since three weeks im in 1500kcal deficit and cant go under 80kg?
Wait wait, so if im in a calorie deficit for long enough Im gonna loose the rest of my belly fat ?
Lost 50 pounds and haven’t lost anything in 3 weeks smh I needed to hear this. 😅
You just inspired me to keep going , thank you
Just what I needed👏🏾🙌🏾
Great message applicable to so many areas of life, thanks for sharing.
I totally needed to hear this today. Thank you.
just stared to lose weight again after 6 months on Plato never stopped diet kept going
This is the best video i've watched in the whole TH-cam ever!!!
Wow!
No bs hacks and tricks, just pure hard truths. Thanks👍👍 down 30 lbs and hit that plateau 😂😂
What if you’ve been stuck at same weight for 3 months ?
I love your analogy of the train! I know this was about weight but "Amen" "Amen". On a train I wait....! So true!
Im going through this shit rn I’m so annoyed lmao
It’s not like I’ll give up because it’s already my routine, BUT, it’s so annoying
old video, but putting it into to "rewatch category" for when things get wonky
I’ve come back to listen to this again. Just keep going. I am! Thank you.
I've been in a "Plateau" for about 7 months, despite eating a high protein diet, weighing my food to make sure everything is portion correctly, and doing strength training and cardio in each workout session. I'm in the gym for roughly 90 mins-2 hours 4 times a week.
Have you moved passed the plateau yet?
Your body also shrinks off inches, its eliminating dead/loose skin, the stalling is yiur body going through its natural processes. It's nothing abnormal. People try to tirce their body to focus on the weight but that is double edged sword because you kay lose fat and gain water weight replacing that fat loss and it reads on the scale as the same weight, we are focused on fat loss not weight loss. It took time to put on the weight so ket your body take its time to lose it. Your body is smarter than you remember that.
Why does it replace fat with water?
Thank you, I needed this today.
this motivated the entire HECK outta me today! tysm for doing what you're doing
Thank you
Keep going is useless when your body has adapted to what your are doing.
Ok and what about when you’ve been the same weight for more than a month?
I like the motivation but what if you legitimately haven’t lost weight in a month and you consume around 1700 calories a day?
Hahahaha it's true info here but PLAH TOE throughout the video is great
not gna lie my guy, i needed this today, thank you 🙏
Definitely needed to hear this. Thank you 🙏🏾
Bro In the last 3 weeks the scale has stayed the same, and I’m at 1500 cals only a day idk what to do
Needed to hear this. Glad I found this video
Okay but I've been waiting for three months now...I'm a 5'2 female, 136 pounds and I have been on top of my calorie intake and a gym rat for about six months now. I hit my "plateau" in January and have been 136 lbs ever since...I've been obssessing over this for this past month and I've decided to up my calorie intake from 1,440 to 1,800...i am very active and my diet since I started this lifestyle change is pretty clean...Imma give it 2 weeks and if i don't see a change I don't know what else to do... someone help? Am i right to up my calorie intake?
You have to move more so focus on cardio
Wow I could kiss this man thank you for the inspiration I really needed it
Finally someone motivating
I'm stuck on the same weight for 3 months now. I lost 20 kg over the last year, and now I'm stuck. I know I do eat healthy, I have much fit friends who eat so much more than me. Is it normal?
Thank you for this.. really.
is jordan joining the mind pump team full time??? cyz if so i fully support it
Thank you. I told myself to keep doing the work but I guess I needed to hear it from someone else. Just. Keep. Going. Thank you!
I really needed to hear this man. Like legit this so much better than a solution to fix it.
😂😂😂😂😂That train analogy hilarious and definitely put this into the proper perspective. Thx. Glad I came here.
So needed to hear this💪🏿💯
