An alternative to melting the zip tie ends is to give it a few swipes with a flat metal file. I realize that everyone won't have one, but I try to very selective about when I employ fire.
Love this video. A better repair than the original design. Love the use of the zip ties. Who wants to find the exact same plastic hose fixtures? Who the hell decided to make it hard tubing for half the length? It is sometimes hard to have pride in American cars when there's so many stupid decisions like this. Thank you for sharing.
My connectors and water bottle (inside the passenger side fender) disintegrated on their own!!! My car is held together with twist ties, zip ties and duct tape!!! Happy Holidays!!!
The hard plastic piece inside the L connector on passenger side broke. What piece do I use to replace it? It looks like you just slipped it in. Help? Update...I think the connection to the sprayer broke. I will go to parts store on Monday and buy new ones and replace the whole thing. Your videos are great and easy to understand so I can actually fix things myself. Keep going!
@@ArchesMechanic I just replaced the nozzles and the hose this morning. Zip ties are in place. It was an easy job. Your video was a huge help. I tested them and instead of the nozzle spitting fluid at the bottom of windshield, they spray properly. Thanks gain for the video.
Horrible idea idea to use hard plastic tubing... This is very expensive to replace. It's as if this was done intentionally to cause premature repairs. Thanks so much for posting this. Saved me 600.00!!!!
Exactly what I was looking for. A mouse chewed the hard rubber hose in exactly the same spot yours broke . Yea I don't get why they used hard plastic. Stupid for winter. I quess every cent they make off parts is money in their pocket. Thank you for your vid and your short to the point vid .
Great tip about melting the cut ends of the zip ties. Those things can be lethal! Great video and content!
Thank you! This was a big help and saved me from having to pay someone to figure out what the problem was!
Thanks for this step by step video, will try to do it myself before taking it in to the shop

Yep

Where did you bouth the holes kit and rhe holes?
My local parts store. Oreilly
What size tubing did you use? I have a 2013 journey with the exact same break. Also had the T-connector break on the right nozzle.
Andrew Staheli I just grabbed an old piece and took it to the parts store and said “ I need a lot of this”
I heard you mention 3/16 for the connector, should I assume the same for the hose? Thanks!
Well that is one way to get it done! Haha thanks.
I did it! Your video definitely helped me out. Thanks!

Mine snapped in the same spot, bought replacement hose for cheap on eBay.
Jason B a direct replacement? If that’s the case it’ll probably do the same thing again. That’s why I opted for the other rubber hose

hose will last a bit longer if you don't use harsh chemicals in the washer fluid
