Thanks for this video. I'm struggling with outer hip pain/SI joint(?)/Psoas(?) when I'm running. I've been doing massage and strength training to try to help ease outer hip pain. Do you have any videos that you could suggest for post run stretching that may help? Thanks Ash.
Maybe try this one Kelsey it’s keeping everything linear for SI Joint and it’s a little longer and slower so you can work into areas a bit more if needed. Hope this helps and thank you for your comments as always 🙏😊

Went for my first new run interval today as part of the Run Trainer app’s 10K runner plan. 20 minutes run, walk a few minutes, then another 20 minutes of running. Still feel like a newb at running since it’s only been roughly half a year I think since I started going for runs regularly. Warmed up and cooled down with you as per usual; really makes my runs feel like a routine/ritual which makes the whole thing feel more cohesive and hard to miss. Thanks Ash!

Perfect 10 minute stretch after a 10k run! The run was a bit more difficult than I'd hoped (windy!) but putting it into perspective like you did, opened my mind! 6000 steps per foot!
I have a similar ritual: drink, stretch, drink more, shower, fuel. After a long run or workout I actually also like taking a warm bath with salt flakes! Thanks for the video as always ❤

I've struggled with limited flexibility since I was a little kid and it's made me self-conscious about doing things like yoga or stretching regularly, even though I know such activities help me with my running and sports. Cat cow, some toe stretches with hips to heels, lizard and half splits to finish. I ended with moving from down dog to lizard to open twist and repeat on the other side for a few rounds just to stretch the upper body a bit.

Hey Ash, I was curious: if I was trying to become a more flexible runner, are these going to help or do these more so help with fatigue? I know you have some longer stretching videos ranging from 15-20min, but I didn't know if there was like a magic number of minutes I should be following along.

Yes these will help Johnny. The central nervous system has a perception of its own limits and by breathing and dynamically stretching you can readjust where the body feels tight. This is simplifying a complex interaction but that is the quickest way to see flexibility benefits. Long term, 12 weeks of static and dynamic stretches for 3-5 minutes each muscle group you want to improve will see benefits in flexibility. Hope this helps 😊👍🏻

Great video! I really like the content of the channel, the truth is that the videos are quite dynamic and help me a lot to do the exercises and relax or soothe the body after exercise. Keep it up! I would like to know if in future videos you could do a review about footwear that you use, recommend or tips to choose for training and before training to relax and care for our feet such as sandals, flip flops or minimalist shoes that you recommend for comfort.
