    Today’s the first day of my journey to running a marathon. Currently I can’t run for 90 second intervals without passing out 🤣 😁 it’s a start and better than I was last year, so yay me!! Anywho, this stretch was EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you much Ash!

    This is the first video of yours that I’ve found but your entire vibe is so wholesome. From the way you explain about dynamic stretches to the way you ask about our run/day to the wholesome dad personality.     This was a great stretching routine! I found a lot of guided stretch videos that are just music and they don’t explain how to do the stretch or why. I appreciate the fact that you explain it as you go. If you’ve ever watched me try to take a dance class you’ll understand why I can’t just copy what the person is doing if they don’t explain it well 😂

    I enjoyed this. I had never paid attention to post run stretches even after 4 months of running consistently. But it was telling on me, so I decided to search post run stretch on TH-cam and found you.
    I just did a 5km run and this is cherry on top.

    You asked how my run was, so here it is! I started running last April and I was overweight. I could barely run a 5 km and that's pushing my heart rate to 200 bpm, almost passing out. Today I run my farthest (7.6 km) faster than my old 5 km pace, on a sub-ideal condition (just started my period, low blood pressure, and dehydrated) with moderate effort and I feel I could keep going! This stretch is lovely to close my small accomplishment today, thanks Ash!

    I've been a runner for over 10 years but was never great at fitting in a serious post-run stretch. You blew my mind pointing out the mental health benefits! I've realized that I can get better at running not only with training but also being more conscientious about how running fits into my day. Thank you for the great video! :) Btw, anyone else go all-in from the top and scratch their face when he scratched his? 😄

    Love that the class started with pigeon and included lizard and wide legged straddle fold. Ended with some side stretches in that last position. Now to the rest of the day!

    Started running about a month ago but haven’t been stretching and my knees hurt SO BAD that it impacts how often I can run each week. Hoping these videos help

    I’ve been following your stretches before and after my runs for a few weeks and I think today was my break-through. Usually I don’t look forward to the stretches, they don’t feel relaxing. It feels like I have to strain my body even though i am definitely not that old lol. But today it felt really really good. Everything felt a million times easier and I’m starting to notice a huge difference just from stretching. Thanks Ash

    Have been following your runners knee strengthening and balance guide for a few weeks now and it’s really helped me on longer runs and in the gym too!

    Oh god thank you...!
    After 3 years with triathlon I lost a lot of my flexibility and I start to feel muscles sooo stiff like rocks because I only do a typical 5 min stretching before and after work out.
    This is a really good program for those who want a little more 'intense' stretching.

    Read Can't Hurt Me and started doing 1 mile every day with no stretching no problem then stopped, after feeling like I was doing enough I did 11km thinking that was half a marathon and I literally COULD NOT walk the next day. Listened to David Goggins second appearance on JRP and all the benefits of stretching just seemed immaculate. Did a PROPER half marathon 2 days ago, with only some slight aches with your stretching before and after AND morning and night. Just finished another Half Marathon today and wanted to say thanks.
    The way you talk is soothing and the pace is perfect, I feel my body getting better but I am dreading the unavoidable aches for tmr. In my opinion, only slight aches and pains from half marathon without any training is a huge thumbs up for your stretches.

    I love this after running stretch. The best one I’ve found so far. Love the dynamic stretching. I am working on running a 10K. It’s my next goal. I didn’t think I would run again after my stroke, but here I am. I’m hoping your stretching routines will help improve my distance!

    I am also currently one the first day if training for a marathon distance. Always skipped the post run stretches but decided that it cant hurt to do them from now on. Im glad this is the video that i decided to watch because the way he explains each movement and saying that everyone might have different zones of ‘good-feeling’ really makes a positive impression.     I used to come in dead last at track meets, so I haven’t run since high school really. Today I got up and ran a 5k! I had to take a second to stretch my hip flexors around the end of mile 2, and my pace was like 12 mins per mile, but I kept going and didn’t walk any of it!! I just did this stretch, and I know I’ll have a reason to do it many more times. Here’s to the next run!

    For context, I might have some sort of ADHD as my focus keeps flowing from different obsessions every now and then… for instance I bought running shoes after spending nights looking at all the models and techs used, just because I wondered how comfy it could be !
    I bought a pair, and after my first session I felt very bad, my ankles are weak and my shins were killing me
    Second session, same old problem
    After my third I was starting to think I would have to let go this new obsession of mine, once again, having spent money in an useless way…
    That was until I came across your videos (pre and post run)
    I just completed my second speed session and I’ve never felt better ! The first time I tried your stretches, I felt significantly better, I was faster during the run and I didn’t hurt after !

    This was my second stretching video with you and i enjoyed it as much as the first one! I'm currently at the beginning of a 3 week running course with a friend and I know I'll use your post run stretches for all of them.     Over the decade or so that I have been training, I have never been as flexible as some of the people who I've trained with, which could be down to their genetics in some very flexible people. I feel that active stretching is more beneficial in the time I have started using it. There was always a sense of taboo about rocking or moving when stretching in my teams for one reason or another but the knowledge you bring to these sessions puts my mind at ease about doing them.
