Brett's fangirling all over Hilary is the best XD. In the bonus challenge scene he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of her. Also I love Hilary, I am so glad she was there!
I am the sort of person who listens to all types of music but I still cannot understand or appreciate true quality. As long as it sounds nice, i am all for it. I probably came across this channel years ago when you were roasting someone claiming to be the world's fastest violinist. I came for roast but stayed for the comedy and liked learning about actual classical music and composers. Not going to lie, I did not know who Hilary Hahn was until she came on your channel. Now, I am all excited to see her perform live in LA next month at the Disney Concert Hall. I have all also occasionally started to go to other concerts held at the venue. Wanted to let you guys know that you have inspired me to listen to and support classical music.
After watching this video i came to three conclusions: 1) Hilary Hahn is amazing 2) seeing (especially) Brett fangirling is amazing too 3) I am shit bc i ain't practicing
every time she plays im at a loss for words. even with massive limitations, she's still so precise and elegant with her playing, and it gives me goosebumps
I actually measured this with a metronome. Hilary Hahn played Bach Sonata No. 2 Fugue in A Minor noticeably faster and more accurately than both of the people that claimed to be the fastest violinists in the world played Flight of the Bumblebee that TwoSet reviewed!!
@@emalaw1329 yeah it would make no sense for her to do that when she can play beautifully and musically at the highest level. Of course doing fun and goofy videos like this is different.
A professional in my local orchestra had an accident that damaged her left hand and she retrained to play the opposite way around and returned to professional orchestra. Legend.
It's an impossible task, because she has spent her entire life building the muscle memory in her brain for that specific arrangement of hands. It's like asking for someone to reverse their brain or to ask someone who has played soccer professionally for years and thus trained their feet muscle memory to be proficient at basketball all of a sudden
The fact that the only one she didn't nail completely was the switch hands(which is nearly impossible) just goes to show how amazingly talented she is.
@@fortissimoX Agreed. There's much more than talent there. All the talent in the world alone, won't even get you to be an orchestra member, let alone to become Hillary Hahn. She's amazing. Ling Ling has nothing on her. Not even the 40 hrs a day of practice 😅.
Also just a lot of musicians have pieces memorized, even if we don’t want to. Practicing hard pieces there’s just things that you need to get through muscle memory and having the music to look at is kind of distracting. She’s also a soloist and I’m not sure about this because I don’t play violin but from what I’ve seen they don’t have their music while they solo
You are not ling ling unless you practice 40 hours a day. You are not ling ling unless you can play 15 notes a sec. If you can play it slowly, you can play it fast. Hilary did a great job.
While everyone is talking about how they are playing with such accuracy and talent I’m here like how do y’all remember so many pieces of music when I can’t even remember what’s for homework!

hey, do you know what's that piece playing at 3:50?
@@Sara-kq8qb Strauss - Voices of Spring Waltz
It plays at the start of the video too
Mmm . That's really like starting again😂😂
To be fair that challenge was impossible since they didn’t reverse the strings to give her a proper left handed violin 🎻
🤩
Perhaps a better title is "Hilary Hahn crushes the Ling Ling workout"
Jeremiah Willson Could Ling Ling do the Hilary Hahn challenge?
@@Mare416 yesssssssss
Wasn't Hilary Ling Ling's teacher?
She does not. The Erlkoenig pretty much crushed her.
Or "Brett crushes on Hilary Hahn"
hilary: *plays one note*
brett: *heartbeat intensifies*
Axistene XD
Here's your thousandth like
Hilary playing violin while dancing ballet is something I didn't know I need in my life. She's so elegant and beautiful.
“Look at those perfect octaves, Eddy”
So wholesome, so cute
I'm new, is this how musicians talk dirty?
burgerpatty umm 😐 😂
This video should be called 14 minutes straight of Brett and Eddy realizing they found ling ling
bretts fangirling is the purest thing to ever exist wow
I'm the only one who's not able to get over how coordinated their dab was? So perfect
Ensemble playing skills at the next level
This was filmed in Room 4-152 on the MIT campus I SAW THEM THROUGH THE WINDOW IN THE DOOR AND IT WAS SOOOOO COOL
nice. Wait are they still in college? MIT?
@@Alyssa-WL Thanks. I saw the other video.
Not creepy at all! 😂
@@jessicapeyton5444 oh no, of course not!!! 😂😂
@@Alyssa-WL SHE LIVES IN CAMBRIDGE?!?!? OMG THAT IS SUPER CLOSE TO WHERE I LIVE!
Brett's fangirling all over Hilary is the best XD. In the bonus challenge scene he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of her. Also I love Hilary, I am so glad she was there!
I know right 😂😂
Yes, he’s so cute around her.
and there’s me smiling like an idiot because we all know exactly why Brett is nervous
Some ones an army :)
pizza time i know exactly how brett feels and how you do

I'm your 940th like
OMG YOU REALLY PUT YOUR USERNAME AS “Y/N” OMG ILY LMAO
That’s so nice! Hope you had a good time
Hey, nice to see a fellow with the same experience 👋
The fact that Brett knows Hilary’s Bach album better than her
I think we all know her album better than her, it's extremely amazing!!!
If Tschaikovski says I know Hilary Hahn’s album, then God damn do I know Hilary Hahn’s album.
@@Equipthepan lol I got the power. But srsly, her album is amazing, we all should know her album!!
*Eddy
ActualMoth lol
The next video should be "Ling Ling Does the Hillary Hahn Workout"
Underrated
Kristian Domingo i‘ll be really looking forward to that!
This is sacrilegious.
But isn’t Hilary Hahn ling ling?
Henry W, truuuuuuuu
He atacc
He protecc
But most importantly
Brett’s fangirling is bacc
And Hilary Hahn playing slap
And shocked even more than by Bach
Don't u mean that it's Bach?
Lmao
Clorox bleach lmao hi myself.
After watching this video i came to three conclusions:
1) Hilary Hahn is amazing
2) seeing (especially) Brett fangirling is amazing too
3) I am shit bc i ain't practicing
Others: gets a signature with celebrities
Twoset: dabs with a world-class soloist

HAHAHA I laughed so hard, poor boy
Hilary Hahn: “nice weather”
Brett: “thanks!”

i come back to watch this segment all the time to get some smiles
I thought that was just how they said it in Australia 😆
I think the best part of all this was that she looked like she was having just as much fun as they were!
every time she plays im at a loss for words. even with massive limitations, she's still so precise and elegant with her playing, and it gives me goosebumps
I've never touched a violin in my entire life, but I had a grin on my face this entire video, she's so talented omg lol
Me too, I am in total awe and bliss at the same time
omg me tooo
Same here. Rel new to TwoSet but love their vids...

80% : Brett simping
lmao
SIMP
Where is “eddy being sent to nirvana eberytime she plays”?
100% : Hillary Hahn showing that she is Ling Ling
it's not simping because she's not mediocre
I actually measured this with a metronome. Hilary Hahn played Bach Sonata No. 2 Fugue in A Minor noticeably faster and more accurately than both of the people that claimed to be the fastest violinists in the world played Flight of the Bumblebee that TwoSet reviewed!!
WHAT
she's fucking Hilary Hahn
what did you expect ?
@@Perceptence yeah but then she would be stooping down to their level, idk if it would be worth it
What BPM was this actually played at?
@@emalaw1329 yeah it would make no sense for her to do that when she can play beautifully and musically at the highest level. Of course doing fun and goofy videos like this is different.
A professional in my local orchestra had an accident that damaged her left hand and she retrained to play the opposite way around and returned to professional orchestra. Legend.
When she reversed her left and right hands she sounded like a beginner. I took some comfort from this surprisingly. Thank you all.
It's just like doing something with your non-dominant hand. You basically become a child again.
beginner here, i sound worse lol
I ruined your 666 likes :D
*yes no one asked but idc :D*
@@ilovetweek000 Imagine in a few years!
Brett was like a kid who has unlimited access to Disney land.
Isaiah Adams he wishes he had “unlimited access”
Brett attempting to control himself at 7:33 is the most hilarious fangirling I’ve ever seen
Lol
Hilary: *Plays double speed*
Brett: Is this what drugs feel like?
Hilary practised 50 hours a day. That puts her at a higher level than Ling Ling.
Me when Hilary practices 49 hours today: 😢
But i thought Ling Lings has to practice 50 hours in a hour, which is the secret of their power
@@williamy3947 It's true, which is why they need to be in movies such as Inception, where 1 second in a dream can be 100 days etc.
She's like the mother of lingling
Hilary: *is there*
Brett: ówò 💗💕💞💘💓
haha so true ♥

*HOLD MY HOO LAA HOOP BIÔTCH*
Theres ling ling on crack tho
she just cured brett's depression
pretty sure she cures everyone's depression when she smiles and enters the room
@@eolsunder And then she starts playing....
The fact that the only one she didn't nail completely was the switch hands(which is nearly impossible) just goes to show how amazingly talented she is.
Well yes, it goes without saying that she is very talented, but there is also so so much work during many years.
@@fortissimoX Agreed. There's much more than talent there.
All the talent in the world alone, won't even get you to be an orchestra member, let alone to become Hillary Hahn. She's amazing. Ling Ling has nothing on her. Not even the 40 hrs a day of practice 😅.
is no one talking about how she has all of these pieces memorized?
She's a total pro.
She's a world class professional player she probably played these pieces thousands of times
Every piece I learn on the piano I memorize it it's easier for me that way...
@@yoelrappaport5991 can relate
Hahn's reverse hand play is still more accurate than the sacreligious guy playing bumblebee
Right? It isn't too far from the actual one.
😂😂😂
*Sacreligiuous boi
You spelled sacreligious wrong. It should be sacrile15bpmgious.
da96103 15bps you meant
You are not ling ling unless you practice 40 hours a day.
You are not ling ling unless you can play 15 notes a sec.
If you can play it slowly, you can play it fast.
Hilary did a great job.
Confirmed: Hilary Hahn IS Ling Ling
40 HOURS!
Hilaring Hilahng!
Awwwwe Brett is crushing this whole video and it’s so adorable
I brought this from 1k to 1.1 k. I feel power
While everyone is talking about how they are playing with such accuracy and talent I’m here like how do y’all remember so many pieces of music when I can’t even remember what’s for homework!
Muscle memory I guess.
After you practice a piece for months it becomes etched in your brain. Especially Bach's sonata's and partitas
Lingling can remember every piece of music ever created.
*practiceeeeeeeeee*
I can't even remember my breakfast
She made it look like the Mendelssohn concerto was meant to be played with only the lower third of the bow!
That is a great compliment
Hilary comes off having a great sense of humor...So fun to see such a great musician have fun with their talents....this makes classical music fun to engage with....great video. I just became a fan.
Not only one of the best in the world, but HH seems like a genuinely nice person...
I have seen her many times signing autographs after a concert. She takes the time to interact with each fan and she stays until there is nobody left waiting. Not only is she brilliant but she is amazingly NICE and NORMAL. I can't praise her highly enough.
