It’s definitely good enough to be a popular performance piece for students or even just as an enjoyment piece, and he can claim both distribution and performance royalties from that. ALEX LAMOTTE IS A GENIUS. WE NEED MORE OF HIS MUSIC. That piece....the inspiration was clear. I could literally picture the scene in my head. When music can put feelings in your heart and pictures in your head that's how you KNOW it's more than good. It's even beyond amazing. And to the other composers, just....wow! So many gems out there. They all need to keep on making music because they've just.....they've got something real special.

I feel like people only talk about Alex's composition. I think Richard O'Shaughnessy's composition was really beautiful. Like really pretty. Idk but that's my opinion Edit : Wow, thanks for the likes everyonee
Okay, so why is no-one talking about the last piece? A 13-year-old wrote that, in my humble opinion, masterpiece! Also, you know you've written an *extremely* good piece when the comments talk about you with your last name. Props to LaMotte for that!
I shed a few years during LeMotte's piece lmao. These people are so talented especially at such a young age. I remember writing my first piece at the age of 11 and having a neighboring highschool play it for competition. I've been playing since 3rd grade but recently stopped due to pressure but for some reason this really made me want to play again. Loved each and every composition.
@@von0312 Thank you! Thank you both for that encouragement. I'm really focused on my career in engineering right now but will for sure continue playing as a hobby. My birthday is next week so I'm hoping to get myself a violin as a me to me gift me 😅

never expected really that this twoset community would be this talented. I clicked this video for some laughs but I ended up with goosebumps all over my skin. pieces were very beautiful, and i'm proud of this community, but also terrified how talented these composers are. It really showed me how's like to see/hear real prodigies' world. Just stunned in awe. Thank you twoset and linglings and linglingwannabes.
You can expect, that it won’t be a shame from the beggining, because I would say that 90 per cent of subscribers of TwoSet has something to do with music.
Okay, so I'm watching this almost two years later, and the piece at 9:28 is by far one of the coolest things I have heard. Props to you man, for writing such an epic piece! I would also like to mention, the entire piece gives me mad Walking Dead and Last of Us vibes!!
Once you learn it it’s fine. For me the only hard things are ledger lines (the notes above or below the lines that just have unconnected lines above/below them) but even that will get better with practice
i've been playing for years and i still get intimidated when i get new sheet music. but its a lot less scarier when you know what all the symbols mean lol
Alex Lamotte. Genuinely made me feel quite emotional, and you could tell that the guys were well into it. I really hope someone somewhere uses this piece in a classical concert and promotes such talent. It deserves to be known even beyond the Ling Ling Tribe. 🌻 Eddy and Brett - please practice this lovely piece and perform it in full for us some time, along with your other favourites.
I don’t think I want to imagine! This community is so wholesome, I could never find a community like this (Maybe Rays channel) but other than that i don’t think people will ever find a community like this
They might still, but likely they would be easily ignored by the contemporary classical music composing community because it's not up to their "avant-garde good traditionalism bad" standard, if you don't believe me see how they have been trying to dismiss Alma Deutscher as "outdated" or "too traditional/conservative", because how dare she criticizes the avant-garde and other modern stuff that they have an emotional attachment with!
“blown off my feet” n’est pas une expression courante en Anglais. 🤔 “Swept off my feet” is a real saying, but it means something very different. “Blown away” is probably what you were going for
Alex Lamotte's piece was lit af. It was my favourite piece. 17 years old and already making such fun pieces. Damn!!! The Mirror Piece by Chloè was also really interesting. Until today I honestly had never heard of something like this. That's really a very interesting concept and 1 must be really skilled to make a good mirror piece. Kudos to you Chloè. PS: I bet all the dislikes are from Viola Gang and Davie504 who made multiple fake accounts to dislike this video. 😂
People came up with these compositions in A WEEK?! Damn. It took me 2 weeks to compose a piece for my GCSE exam and it wasn't anywhere close to as complex as these beautiful pieces!
Wow but imagine a TwoSet tour where all audiences can submit their compositions by putting them in a special box when they're entering the concert hall, then there's a special segment where Eddy and Brett will pick a couple of compositions to sightread. That would be awesome!
Although I'm not a violinist, but I love seeing them playing their fans piece. Maybe it thatone of the way how they appreciate their fans. #greetingfrommalaysia
When you're 4 minutes into the video, listening to Richard O'Shaughnessy's piece and thinking that "wow, there must be some comedy action in here too, because SURELY it can't get better?" AND THEN ALEX LAMOTTE COMES ALONG. *FOLLOWED BY CHLOÉ BAKEROOT, WHO IS C-L-E-A-R-L-Y MOZART REINCARNATE.* (But honestly, the bit about Alex's inspiration was amazing; just that little prompt of "hillside wedding" made me conjure up VIVID mental images to the music. 6:04 - The band (in slightly mismatch-y white shirts and brown waistcoats) starts playing while the wedding guests are still laughing and eating. 6:06 - Someone starts the dancing, and more and more guests are pulled onto their feet, tables are shuffled away. 6:18 - Everyone is up, dancing a folk dance in rings or in pairs; clearly a dance everyone knows and likes, possibly one where you shuffle partners. 7:10 - The bride ends up dancing with her father, and the music slows down a little. 7:16 - The wedding guests slows down around them, and then stops to take a step back and make some space. 7:19 - The groom is shuffled to the front of the crowd, approaching his bride. 7:29 - Father and daughter, in turn, approach the groom. 7:39 - Father and daughter has a moment, he might kiss her forehead, she might tell him she loves him. Culminating in.. 7:52 - The father gives the bride away to her groom, possibly a version of the tradition of being walked down the aisle. Bride and groom are smiling at each other, holding both each others' hands. 8:06 - Guest cheers, band starts playing the dance music again, and people start dancing and clapping. Bride and groom laughs together. 8:21 - Bride and grooms joins into the crowd, dancing with each other and the wedding carries on in merriment.

As someone who never in their life studied any kind of music, I am baffled by how complex music sheets are.
Once you learn it it’s fine. For me the only hard things are ledger lines (the notes above or below the lines that just have unconnected lines above/below them) but even that will get better with practice
