I wish this video was available 7 years ago !! I wish I have this information earlier... what a fantastic talk ! Sharing with every new parent & parent to be.
Swathi Ma’am, this video is GOLD, literally, every single point. I am sharing it right away, with every person I probably know, irrespective of them being a parent or not. Kindly continue to do what you do. So much love to you!
I tried to do what Maya's Amma told and MIL got frustrated with me and made a plan to move me away from my husband. I am happy for that coz finally my baby can breath. MIL won't let her her touch anything other than toys, was feeding her forcefully, was making her confined in her play area etc and even I got too frustrated. Finally in peace. 😅😅😅
I'm a mother of a 2 year son and I realize that I've made a lot of mistakes, I really appreciate TED Talks for bringing this amazing content. Thank you so much. This really helped me to understand things better. Thanks a lot.
100% True.. I have attended her BLW session 2yrs back. And I'm her Instagram follower for past 2yrs. All her posts are super useful. Not forcing our baby to go to strangers really helps. This help wen they go to school. Though they take time to settle in new place but building trust towards a new person by themselves builds confidence ....
This video is eye opener. I should have avoided few decisions or not let them happen. but I understand them and won't let it continue. Thanks for this video.
Very informative. And i'm super happy to say that my baby girl who is 3 yrs old say's a big NO to anything and everything that she doesn't like and i respect that❤❤
Ufff I am so blessed that I came across this video... Each are every point that you told is so worthful. May God bless you and grant you good health and happiness. Thanks a lot for this.. I used to follow you on insta...
Further, how does one differentiate between a real(genuine) NO and one that is a response stemming from obstinacy? That would require a behavioural expert intervention perhaps. However, i do earnestly appreciate your crisp content and remarkable delivery!
Darling the narcissists wouldn't understand or absorb a word. And sadly, the world is full of Narcissists. So you people try, I appreciate your efforts but this won't work. And I know this because I am a victim.
"master parenting".. absolute non sense.. there is no way to master parenting and there is no right or wrong way at all.. bringing up kids is the most difficult thing and humans will never master it..
children don't like to stay hungry. they will eat when they are hungry. a parent's job is to decide what the child will eat and the child's job is to decide how much. this is not a new technique. you can google and get more information on how it works.
@@kuldeeplonkar a know incidences when a child just doesn't eat- at all unless forced upon the first time, after first time the child continue to eat. The child just cries due to hunger, and resist to eat first bite/spoon. The second bite and so on is quite easy.
Message was well and clear but you shouldn't mention dowry in your comparison list...... it's looks like promoting it by mentioning it and comparing. So the child things that it's normal to get or give dowry. Thank you
unrealistic approach, socialising is part of healthy lifestyle. If your child continues to stay alone not mingling with family and friends and you say dont force them to talk or converse with guests or friends ,your child will develop anxiety and other behavioral disorders in future.
Every child is different. Not all like to mingle up with any and every guest that comes into their house and that's ok. We should be respectful of our children's choices. If they are avoiding people all the time, then maybe a concern. Else it's not something that will create any behavioral disorder.
This turns out to be one of the best TED Talks I have come across. Impressive content and presentation.

My qs: what if my child doesnt want to eat certain things?

"master parenting".. absolute non sense.. there is no way to master parenting and there is no right or wrong way at all.. bringing up kids is the most difficult thing and humans will never master it..
What if the child doesn't eat at all? This is easily skipped in the video. Sinister.
important question, theory and practical are different ,its easy to say amd make video😅
