@@unchainedcrochet446 That is 100% true-and the main reason you should NEVER crack your egg on the bowl you are using to mix ingredients!!!! Crack it in the sink and rinse out the sink when done! I can say- no egg in my coffee- I will find an alternative to milk>>>LOL but to each is own. keep the ideas coming.

I separate the egg. Put the yolk in my mug with 3 Tbsps of butter. Froth up the whites. Add 6oz of coffee to the mug. Froth that up a little and add the rest of my coffee. Top with the white and lightly mix that in. Just the right amount of Froth and SO DELICIOUS! I do not miss the cream at all!

I have been using a raw egg yolk in my coffee ever since Kim Howerton recommended it back in January when I started her Keto Unstuck program and went carnivore. I also add a pinch of salt and sometimes (when I'm not avoiding dairy) I will put a small amount of butter in as well. I use my immersion blender (carefully because I have been wearing my coffee if I'm not paying attention!) I loved my heavy cream but for me it stalls my weight loss. The egg coffee satisfies me way more than adding Nutpods!

I used to have the same issue. Have you tried making it in a beer mug or stein? You can pick one up from most dollar stores and most immersion blenders fit as long as you are doing 1 cup you shouldn't get splashed. Also great to make Mayo and hollandaise in.

It amazes me that you and your husband put out free science backed info every week teaching thousands of people about nutrition, and yet somehow people worry you might have forgotten to consider whether adding a raw egg to HOT coffee is okay 🤷‍♀️ also I don’t remember this fuss when Dr Berry said how a raw yolk on steak is good? Hey Neisha, I am a coffee "Snob".....my whole life. I stumbled across one of Dr. Ken's videos one night on TH-cam where he put butter in his coffee. It does smooth out the acid bite black coffee has. I have used "Sugar In The Raw" in my coffee the past four years. Love the taste.."NO"...I'm hooked on the taste. I saw in a video someone was using "Sukrin Gold" brown sugar alternative. I bought some and gave it a try. Not bad.......but not great. I tried using the Sukrin Gold and the butter in my coffee and it was "GREAT". I drink my morning coffee black because the Sukrin Gold has 8gm of carbs for 2 teaspoons. I only use one teaspoon in a cup of coffee so I only use it in my "eating window". I am on a 22/2 (O.M.A.D.) schedule. I am 76 years old and feel better than when I was 50! Thank you both.

I started eating dairy again when I was pregnant. Meat and eggs made me sick when I ate them alone. I became anemic and was planning a home birth. Now that she's been born (16 days old today) it's time to get rid of the dairy again. 😭 I'm not willingly wanting to get rid of it but the inflammation it causes me is terrible. I also have hashis. I'm really tired with a newborn so I think I'm going to slowly wean myself off of dairy the month on August and then starting September 1 completely go dairy free. We start homeschooling on Monday with a newborn and a house full of kids, so don't think the extra stress of not having dairy would be best. It would probably end up causing a hashis flare up. 😆

I am new. I saw you on Dr Kens interview and quickly subscribed to your channel. I am looking back into carnivore as I had great results when I did it for 6 months and I thought I could go back to keto…then I ended up in a cycle of emotional eating. Not saying that keto caused it, but I started doing the keto treats and my IF went off track as well 😬. I am a big believer in synchronicities… your coffee mugs!!! MUST HAVE THEM!!
Thank you for this alternative! I love LMNT as well and look forward to trying this! 😍

Try frothing the egg white first then add the yoke... I do the same thing making pancakes and waffles.

I’m the same, I have really restricted my dairy to just half and half in the morning and heavy cream in the afternoon with coconut mcts, pink salt and chocolate electrolytes. I need to get one of those mixers!

I use quail egg yolks, HWC, and a pinch of Cinnamon. The Cinnamon is good in the morning to control sugar and cortisol. Also raw egg whites contain avidin which prevents the absorption of biotin.

I completely agree hwc could be your culprit. I cannot use certain brands because they make my rosacea flare. Luckily, Kroger brand doesn’t do this. I’m going to try this way if drinking my coffee for sure.

I have been looking for a HWC alternative and stumbled across PicWiK KETO creamer. It is grass fed butter, MCT oil, Whey protein, and a couple negligible nut ingredients. Pretty good replacement for sure.

I’ve been taking a whole egg from the pasture and adding it to a little less than an oz of heavy cream real and about 8 ozs of cold coffee. I like to let the coffee get a small sheet of ice on the top in the freezer so when I whip it together there are small little particle of ice. But I only use a fork. I don’t like air bubble the mixer makes. But that’s it. No sugar. Or sweetener. Dark roast coffee. 4 or 5 years now.

I’ve always put too much creamer in my coffee. It Has to be enough to change it to the color I want and very creamy. I tried heavy cream but used too much and stalls my weight loss. One day I finally realized that it may be my coffee, instead of the type of creamer. I switched to Ground Starbucks Veranda Blonde Roast and now I hardly even want any creamer, because it tastes so good, not too strong or bitter. I still like to drop a pad of Kerry Gold butter into my coffee cup while it’s brewing. Can buy small to large bags of Starbucks at Walmart..

Neisha, I've been eating dairy-free primarily paleo style keto since 1998. Just a few years ago I experimented and discovered that mixing a tablespoon of almond oil into 16 oz. of coffee with my (Vitamix) blender is a perfect cream replacer. It works with iced coffee/hot chocolate too.
